I literally ONLY wear jeans from Madewell now. Jeans shopping used to be kind of a stressful experience for me because I felt like it was really hard to find anything that fit me. I'm curvier on the bottom so typically jeans either fit me in the waist or thighs but rarely both. Or something seems to fit in store only to stretch out too much after a few wears and washes. Madewell jeans are perfect for me though! I buy their Curvy line, which fits me in the thigh AND waist without gapping, and now I just don't even bother trying to figure out my sizes/fit for other brands. They have some good sales and programs. End of season sales can find jeans like half off. There are student and healthcare worker discounts. If you bring in an old pair of jeans to recycle (and they don't even have to be Madewell), you get $20 off a new pair. But I've also purchased full price because they're just that good! The fit in both full length jeans and shorts work well for me. They also have a tailoring service if something doesn't fit perfectly, which I think is free for most pant purchases? So if you are curvier on the bottom and struggle with finding jeans that fit, I definitely recommend trying out Madewell! Aside from jeans... Nice, higher quality clothing, leaning more on the basic/classic end in style, cuts, and color. Also love Madewell shirts and dresses. Accessories (scarves, jewelry etc) are cute too. Love madewell but I especially love shopping at this location. Great selection of styles and sizes. Always clean and the service is great. I've had great interactions with staff there. The only thing I don't like about this location is the parking lot. Though I can usually find a spot even when it's busy, I'm always nervous about getting into an accident because of how tight the parking is. I recommend going during the week or off-hours for the best parking experience. read more

Well, a few years later and I've really come around to Madewell and have to give my review here a bit of a boost. Their sizing has become more inclusive and the cuts of their denim and such are great. I bought two pairs of overalls here recently (shorts and long) because I loved the fit of them so much. Definitely a spluge but when you find something that fits, it's worth it. And for the price everything is really well constructed and holds up really well after multiple wears and washes. And sales can be really great if you keep an eye on those racks! Staff can be a mixed bag. Some folks can be REALLY sweet and helpful and others can be a bit aloof to meh. Also stock seems to turn over pretty quickly, which can be great if you're looking for variety but not so great if you're holding out on buying something. It's better to just go for it then regret it later when it's gone. read more

This is a cute shop with a nice selection of clothes. If you're on a budget, there are frequent sales, which I like. I have had mixed experiences in terms of customer service at this Madewell. I had a very helpful younger woman help me pick out various shirts to try on and get me started with a dressing room. She was attentive without hovering. However, when I went to pay, the other woman working that afternoon asked me for my email. I declined to give it. She then completely shut down and didn't even make eye contact with me, even though I had just bought a substantial amount of merchandise. It came off as a bit rude. I love - love -love this location! There is a TON of parking right by the door - so it's great for a quick stop or when the weather is an issue. The girls are super friendly and attentive without being pushy (I always feel like I'm getting an honest opinion when I'm trying stuff on - which is a plus!!). They are also a very well dressed group - I look forward to checking out their creative styling whenever I stop in. Overall - I'd say Madewell is a great brand - quality basics, 'cool girl' jewelry and beautiful leather goods -- and the AA store is THE BEST!!!! ** sidenote - Idk what that one star review is about. My roommate was the one that got me really into Madewell and to be honest, I was a bit hesitant to shop there because everything is definitely more on the pricy side. However, if you're a student, you get a 15% off discount on your purchase and if you shop the sales, there's an additional discount as well! So at the end of the day, the prices aren't that bad and you know you're paying for quality clothing. Everyone at this store is pretty friendly and knowledgable about the clothing. I really like the aesthetic of Madewell and how their clothing is minimalistic but not boring. Their leather goods and shoes are all beautiful quality items. They're definitely worth the investment in my opinion. Overall, their clothes are a bit pricier than your average store, but if you shop smart, you can get away with some pretty amazing deals. read more

$128 jeans split when I leaned over today. I took them in, assuming I would get great customer service, that they would apologize for expensive jeans breaking down, that I could exchange them. No. I was offered to patch them (do they really want their product on the street advertising that they need to be patched!?) or let me donate my ripped jeans and get $20 off another $128 pair of jeans. I chose the patch, as I don't want to invest in another pair that will break down. I will be telling everyone who asks about the patch about the poor customer service at Madewell. read more

Although this is one of my favorite places in town to shop. Mainly because I love minimalist clothing and cotton. Their tops, shirts and dresses looks little different than other retails but I must say that they are really expensive. Their quality of the material is really good no doubt but in style they are not that great or one of a kind . Specially in recent days I did find the same style in other stores too . Previously I used to think that they are the only one where I can buy some thing unique. That being said I do go there to find something interesting in their clearance section. Very rarely I buy something from the regular priced section. Only if I think the price justifies the style or the overall outlook of that piece . Madewell is mainly famous for their jeans . And do you know if you take your old jeans and give them in return you will get 20% off on your new jeans purchase. But I never bought any jeans from them yet so can not give any review on that but I do have other dresses which are really great quality which I love . Specially in the summer they are my favorites. Madewell has very cool and cute accessories but again very expensive. Their bags are nice too . The shop is small in size . The service is good. The girls are very helpful. I think Madewell is a perfect store. The clothing, denim, shoes are all beautiful while simple. As the other reviewers said, the store is a little small compared to other Madewell stores and the prices are high. I don't mind the price if it's really something I love. I'd rather have a few awesome clothes than a ton of okay clothes. read more
