It is next to impossible to get a live person on the phone. I have been waiting since Monday to find out if my son's prescription is ready. After going through numerous tasks to get a person on the phone, I was instructed by the system to leave a voice message for the pharmacist. This is a recurring issue and one that needs to be resolved by CVS. I don't know if the pharmacy is understaffed and overwhelmed, but CVS has got to do better. read more

I've had the best experiences every time I've called or been to this pharmacy. Especially with a script that was difficult to fill for years everywhere else that I went. I no longer shop at Target, but still get my scripts and vaccines here, because of the pharmacists for whom I am extremely grateful. read more

I love finding CVS locations everywhere, it is so convenient! This location is inside a Target I frequently visit. Once inside Target, turn right and it is near the corner of the store (by the vitamins/medication area) past the cosmetics. They have it labeled very well in the store. The service is quick & easy. If you have the CVS App, you can pull up your QR code to scan your prescriptions and it makes things go super quick. There is rarely a line for drop off or pick up. There's lots of parking in the private lot and even though it can get busy, there is always parking spaces. It's located at a busy intersection but it is a stand alone building. With CVS being inside Target, it is a one stop shop. Starbucks & Pizza Hut are also there if you need a drink or snack. Recommended! read more

As a Pharmacist myself, it is sad for me to share my experience with this CVS inside Target location. A while back , my wife had her wisdom teeth pulled and upon leaving the oral surgeons office we were handed a prescription for pain medication. We made the mistake of coming here to have it filled. Upon coming into the pharmacy i asked to speak to the pharmacist to see if we can expedite filling her prescription as a professional courtesy, fellow pharmacist here, and since the anesthesia was wearing off and she was in a lot of pain. To my surprise, the pharmacist was rude and said no, she will not expedite anything and to wait the 1 hour for her to fill the prescription. So the mistake i made was staying and waiting, and later found out the reason why it was going to take an hour. The pharmacist at the time was going on her lunch break and had no compassion for a patient what was currently in pain post oral surgery. I saw her leave as soon as we spoke , and return 45 min later then waited an addition 30 min for her to fill the prescription. Pretty cold hearted and unprofessional. As a pharmacist myself i would have triage the situation, anyone with sick kids , actively in pain , pregnant, or elderly would get fast tracked and sent home asap. She did not have this sense of compassion or work flow. In hind sight we should have just left and not waited for her rude treatment and utter disrespect. So if you are in urgent need of your meds post surgery or kids needs antibiotics for ear infection, i would avoid this location if time if of the essence. i also spoke to the district manager of CVS for this location and she was in complete agreement with her pharmacist and how this was handled, so it seems to be CVS culture from the front line up thru corporate as well. Called to check if there was a medication in stock lady who answered the phone was rude and didn't even check. Flat out said NO.

Called to see if they take UPS returns as the CVS on Valley and Fremont refused to take our Amazon-ordered UPS return for some odd reason...anyway, we called to make sure this other CVS could take our return and got a long voice message where the only options were Covid testing, vaccines, PPE, etc...--isn't this winding down by now??? I mean, we don't even need masks at big events anymore. Anyway, when I pushed the one and lone button whereby to talk to someone in the store it just rings and rings. Now we have to drive there since they don't pick up their phone BUT the girl behind the counter when we arrived was sooo cool. She went above and beyond in customer service! I was in the Alhambra area and some time to kill until my appointment, so I stopped into this Target. While shopping, I remembered I had a prescription I needed filled. Upon walking up to the pharmacy counter, I was greeted by an attractive pharmacist technician. She looked over my prescription and took the initiative to inform me about a generic version of one of the medications I needed saving me $35! Since these were new medications for me, she asked the pharmacist, Christine, to educate me. Wow! Once again, CVS has the most attractive and well educated staff working here. A funny side note, she kind of looked around and sheepishly said, "this medication can cause weight gain." She was trying to very polite, as I'm experiencing those side effects from another medication I'm taking. The staff here is amazing and very customer service orientated. I've been coming to this store since it opened way back when so I consider myself a regular even though I often go to other CVS stores in the area. I don't know what it is exactly but some of the people that work behind the counter, one in particular earlier tonight are really cold and rude. I used to hear Hi welcome from them when I walked in, they used to ask me from time to time if I needed help as I walked around the store shopping for things and they were usually kind of nice when I checked out at the register. Not anymore and certainly not earlier tonight. I've been noticing this in a lot of places that hire 20-somethings in particular that don't seem to care about their customers, who are the reason they even have a job to begin with. I'd suggest CVS either hire the right people as hard as that is these days, train their employees better or find some way to show they appreciate their customers. Horrible! They are constantly messing up my sons meds. I'll call in a refill, they'll tell me it'll will be ready on a certain day and then the day of I'm told it's back ordered. Where's the communication!?! I'll tell you where, it's either non-existent or horrible. On one occasion when I was communicating with them, the pharmacy tech told me to call another pharmacy to see if they had the meds and to call her back. When I called back I was on hold for almost 20 minutes only to be told I didn't need to call back. When I asked why I was told to call back the tech said I was lying and she never told me that. I guess spending 20 minutes on hold is something i like to do. Several times I've been told that the doctor hasn't approved the RX. At first, although I found this odd, I would call in for the RX myself. EVERY TIME the doctor tells me they've never faxed the refill in. After a few times of this happening i got suspicious and asked what fax number they were faxing too..Well they finally figured out that the fax machine status kept saying "fax not sent" because they typed the wrong Dr's info in and they still continue to make the same mistake even after I tell them to double check the number before it is faxed. After several months of dealing with this, a few days ago I called for a refill and was told they would fax in for a refill, I automatically asked to who they were faxing to. When the tech gave me the wrong DR's name I told him that that Dr. was incorrect and gave him the right Dr's info. WHY oh WHY was I told the next day that the tech from the previous day faxed the incorrect Dr. once again!!!. and then I was blamed for not letting them know! When i told that tech that I had let the previous tech know she said that I needed to be more clear when making changes...... If you are taking medication imperative to your well-being, I urge you to go somewhere else. This pharmacy thinks it's a joke to toy with people's health. If you value yours, I'd stay away from here. read more
