We asked for a quick wipe down and the server acted as if he was too good to wipe a table. He took forever to get a rag, over dramatically wiped the table, stormed off to put the rag back and took forever to return. He had a smug attitude when we asked a few questions about the menu items. The most forced fakest smile as we thanked him for answering question and taking our order. He forgot half our menu items, Never returned. Both my friend and I had to get up, walk to the bar to get some help. We sat so long for our order to be corrected, our food got cold. The food was disgusting, unoriginal and way way way over priced. But the way we were treated was the worst part. I've never seen a server SOOOO put out by being asked to wipe a table and answer some questions. I live up the street, I will never give this establishment a cent again There are a million places to eat where the food is good and you won't get treated like shit. Horrible horrible

Spicy Tuna On Crispy Rice 12/10- this is quite literally the best spicy tuna on crispy rice I've…read moreever had. The crispy rice temperature was perfect, warm all the way through w/ the perfect crisp to it. Honestly the consistency reminded me of a hash brown if that makes sense, which is INSANE, like so good. It's also made w/ truffled avocado which took it to another level. The spicy tuna portion was huge too & it was so fresh & delicious, & the jalapeño slice gave it the perfect kick. Normally I find crispy rice overpowers the spicy tuna but this was such a perfect balance. Shrimp Tacos 9.18/10- these were honestly so good, such a great mix of flavors in every bite. What surprised me most was the corn tortillas, they weren't dry at all which almost never happens w/ corn tortillas. The tacos themselves were huge & so were the shrimp, loved that they used tiger shrimp instead of the small ones. The slaw gave it a nice crunch on top, & there was actually a kick of spice to these that caught me off guard in the best way. Chips And Guacamole 8.68/10- got this for taco tuesday too & the chips were so good & so addicting. The guac has truffle in it which made it so decadent, & they don't skimp on the portion either. It paired perfectly w/ the shrimp tacos, & they keep the chips coming too. The chips were perfectly crisp, almost similar to wonton chips, & such a good match w/ the guac I love Beverly Bar. I actually thought it was part of Hillstone group (one of my favorite restaurant groups, if not my favorite) by how good the quality is, but I was surprised to find out it's not, it's actually independently owned! This place is always busy for good reason, but I'd def suggest making a reservation before you go. You're also very likely to run into people you know here, yet the ambiance is so perfect that it still feels intimate. Honestly this restaurant reminds me of a place you'd see in Sex and the City- perfect for a girls night. Definitely one of my favorite spots in BH & the service is also so good. The place is clean and the servers are all friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and they do have a TV above the bar area if you want to catch a game. As for the food, I've had several things from here and they have all been good! I've had the burger, the pizza, the shrimp tacos, the parmesan truffle fries and our favorite, the tuna crispy rice! They have some of the best tuna crispy rice in the city (but don't quote me on that because I've only had it at two places lol). It may not be the best but it is good. We'll continue to grab lunch here because it's good, quick, and not as expensive as some of the other restaurants in the area. They also have a nice happy hour menu too. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

There is a cute little bar and a cozy space with the perfect amount of tables inside. There is also a wonderful patio with plenty of outdoor seating. Our waiter, Lokahi, took such great care of us and was so warm, friendly and helpful with his suggestions.... But I have to say, I think that no matter what we ordered, it would have been great! We started with the little gem Caesar salad, the brussel sprouts and the patatas bravas... all were sooooo good! The salad was simple, crispy and fresh with delicious tomatoes, the perfect amount of Parmesan, and a superb Caesar dressing. The patatas bravas was equally as good - slightly crispy potatoes with a great tomato sauce that had a hint of spice and was incredibly flavorful! And the brussel sprouts were perfect - not oily, plenty of flavor and overall rounded out our apps perfectly. For dinner we each had the Salt Spring Mussels with a side of fries to share... the mussels were amazing, the broth delicious and the side of bread that they serve with them is the perfect addition to soak up all the savory broth. The fries were cooked perfectly and were seasoned just right! I have to say that Melanie is without a doubt one of the best dinner experiences that we have had in our 11 years of being in LA. From the food and service to the overall experience, I would give Melanie 10 stars if I could. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY recommend Melanie as I know that you will have an amazing meal with equally top notch service as well! We will 100% be coming back again and again!!!

I didn't make it here until March 2026 and after my first visit, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night, with a last minute reservation I'd made on Resy. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we came in around 5:30ish. A lot of the tables were empty. They had both indoor and outdoor dining available, but the majority of the seats were indoor. The ambiance here is dark and chic, it reminded me very much of restaurants in NYC. It would make for a good spot for a date night or girls' night out. We made it here in time to order one thing from their happy hour menu, the tater tots. These were heavy but moreish, it was hard to stop eating them even when my stomach was telling me I was full. We also shared the corn, which I believe may have been a special/seasonal dish. It will go down as one of the best corn dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My husband got the burger for his main and I got the mussels. The mussels were pretty fresh and silky, and were overall excellent, but I didn't love the broth they came in. My husband's burger was fantastic. It's one of the best burgers I've eaten at a restaurant in LA. Service was lovely and efficient. I'm looking forward to dining here again, and would highly recommend trying it.

Thankfully, they were also participating in the Dine LA event! I believe it was around $30 per person, which was honestly a pretty good deal. I loved the food and our server was amazing. However, I unfortunately didn't love the service from the host. We had a reservation for 12:30 PM, and we were seated outside (mind you it was like over 90 degrees). I normally wouldn't mind outdoor seating but it was WAY too hot in their outdoor area, even with the mesh covering. They definitely need to invest in some misters/fans, especially during the summer (it's also 2026). I asked the host if we could be moved indoors since I could visibly see multiple open seats. She told me no because those seats were reserved for "4 people," which didn't really make sense to me when I could literally see with my own two eyes that several of the indoor tables were occupied by parties of two. When I pointed that out, she didn't really have anything to say back. The whole interaction honestly left a bad impression of the restaurant as a whole. I don't want to assume anything, but it did make me question whether racial identity may have played a part in how we were treated, especially after noticing that the guests seated inside appeared to be non-POC. I ended up asking the host AGAIN if we could please be moved inside because I genuinely couldn't bear the heat anymore, and she was finally able to accommodate us with an indoor seating. Also, especially on busy weekends and during events like Dine LA, I think they should consider having two hosts instead of just one. It seemed like a lot for one person to manage. Overall, the food was really good and our server was great, but the hosting experience and outdoor seating situation definitely could've been better.
