I ordered two grinders (#1 and #2), and the food was amazing. The hot honey sub was elite definitely a standout. The service was outstanding as well. The two guys working there made me feel very welcome, took the time to explain the menu, and even had a genuine conversation with me. They also gave me a free mac salad, which was super fresh and refreshing. Overall, a great experience I'll definitely be back soon! read more

Cutting Wedge - Delis Near Me - Stratford, Connecticut

Really excellent food. Pretty large portions. This is all I had all day so far and I'm still not hungry. That was at noon and it's 7pm. Service was fast. It couldn't have been more than five minutes. I got a bag of chips to munch on while my sandwiches made because I was super hungry and I thought it would take longer, but my sandwich was out before I knew it. I got the chicken sandwich that has the coleslaw and the pickles on it. I think it was just called chicken cutlet? I don't remember, but it was delicious. I didn't know what bread to pick so I got it on a hard roll, which was one of the options. If I come through again, I would definitely stop here. read more

Cutting Wedge - Chicken cutlet sandwich - Delis Near Me - Stratford, Connecticut

This was my first vist to Cutting Wedge although I have been eyeing the menu for a while. I like that they make their roast beef in house, so I decided to go with the number 10, roast beef., melted Swiss, coleslaw, horseradish cream on a hard roll. Service was fast and friendly and my order was ready in minutes. Only Pepsi products here as far as soda so opted out. The sandwich was good. The roast beef was thinly sliced and nice and rare, but did seem to lack some basic seasoning. I could not pin point it, but either the coleslaw or that horseradish cream gave a bit of an off flavor to the sandwich which reminded me of Miracle Whip. Not a fan of Miracle Whip. The cheese was not melted and it did not have that distinctive Swiss cheese flavor. The roll was fine but not hard roll, most definitely a soft one. I might be back to try other menu items. 3.5 stars so far for my experience. Plenty of parking and there are tables to eat in. read more

Place used to be better. Now it's just ok and really not worth the price. 2 subs, 1 hard roll and 2 bags of chips. $51.00. No thanks. Not when you can't even get the order right. Ordered steak cheese mushroom tomato mayo The girl at the counter could not grasp what I was ordering. I think because it wasn't one of the subs on the menu she struggled. Steak and cheese I said. So she asked chicken or beef? Mushroom tomato mayo I said. So not hot peppers she said. Again, steak cheese mushroom tomato mayo She struggled but I think she's got it now Get home and low and behold no tomato on it. In addition, the steak wasn't great, no flavor at all really. I'm not cheap but if you can't get a simple sandwich order correct and charge me $51 and ask for tip on top of it. Here's my tip, learn how to make a steak and cheese and get your customers orders right. read more

Sandwiches here never disappoint. Chicken cutlets are made to perfection. Sauce on chicken parm is fantastic. Service is always great!!!

I popped into this spot to grab a few sandwiches for a family gathering. The man at the counter could not have been kinder. Very patient with our order and helped me with a surprise for my 10 yr old nephew. The food was fresh and delicious so I ust wanted to give them a shout out to support a local business. A+ people. Absolutely one of the best sandwich I've had in a long time, employees were awesome, can't wait to go back

The Girls were upbeat with a smile from the moment we walked in the door. They gave us menus and answered all our rookie questions as we were amazed looking at all the delicious food in the display case. And get this NEWS FLASH EGGPLANT LOVERS, THEY PEEL THEIR EGGPLANT!!! YES REALLY. ... and it taste like Eggplant and has the crunch you want from being fried and the marinara sauce and cheese was not overpowering. This is by far the best eggplant I have ever had and I've been searching along time for a restaurant (Chef) that could bring it all together. So Bravo to the Chef of the Eggplant! PS Love the Macadamia Nut w/ M&M's Cookies read more

Great food and great service all the time. One of the best deli's in the area. The sandwiches and quality of everything is very good.

Food is OK, not really, actually disappointing. Nothing I would like more than a great sandwich shop near where I live. Unfortunately sandwiches are mediocre at best. Just had a tuna and it was just blah. Tried it a few months ago and felt the same way. read more

We had a delicious meal love the egg rolls worth the price. It was a big meal was big portions Ate the meal two days in a row!

We got four different wedges for lunch at work. Everyone was deeply disappointed with the bread. It was very dry and tasteless. The food inside the bread was okay, but that too was dry. They needed to use a lot more sauce. For the price we expected better. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Stratford! I happened upon it and I'm so glad I did. This will probably be my family's new spot to order delicious trays of food for gatherings and parties moving forward! From the moment I walked in I felt welcome and the young lady at the counter was extremely helpful in guiding me to choose a really delicious sandwich. I was also picking up a couple of trays of food, including penne à la vodka, chicken Parmesan, and more. The salad that came with the meal was extremely fresh and delicious and everything truly tasted homemade! Not only is the food really awesome but it's a really great value at a great cost! There is plenty of seating for those who would like to sit and enjoy their meal, whether it's hot food or a deli sandwich. But it's also a really great spot for grab and go, it very convenient! We will be back very soon! read more

Egg-cellent spot! Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich one rainy/snowy day on my way to an appointment. The staffer was very friendly and the food was hot and tasty. Breakfast sandwich B I believe it was called, with 2 scrambled eggs, american cheese, bacon, sausage, and a hash brown on a hard roll. It was so good and made quickly, but all fresh. Would definitely go again. read more

Cutting Wedge - The number 5 sandwich! Eggplant, tomatoes, roasted peppers, mozzarella - Delis Near Me - Stratford, Connecticut

New place for me! Welcomed when I walked through the door, thank you! Traditionally I do not start my day off with a cookie...that being said the oatmeal raisin cookie did not disappoint for breakfast! A hint of cinnamon? Crisp, super chewy. I picked up an Italian clam chowder for lunch. Fortunately, the drive in to work was a little longer than expected-the soup is flavorful, fresh herbs perfect consistency. Gentleman let me know about the family meal, looks good I'll check back in over the weekend for a review. Outdoor seating looks fun, inside is super clean good flow, tables for seating are pleasantly placed far enough from the counter for a restaurant vibe. read more

Stumbled across this new establishment in the Instagram and it looked worth a try. Easy access from Sikorsky, the Parkway and 110. Located at Ryder's Landing where Quiznos used to be. The #3 sandwish was quite delicious! #3 - Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Ham, Swiss, Coleslaw, Pickles, Honey Mustard. The first sandwish on the menu is in the style of local favorites - #1 - Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Breaded Eggplant, Sliced Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella, Broccoli Rabe, Roasted Red Peppers, Oil & Vinegar. I look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu! read more

Went here due to a tiktok showing a grinder with vodka sauce and chicken cutlets that looked enticing. It was good, but they went a little conservative on the sauce. I was expecting them to fully embrace the vodka sauce idea, not letting the bread and the chicken take priority in the taste. Their rice balls and empanadas were decent as well. Their Reese's giant cookies were the star though. They tasted great and were of indulging size. Will give them a try again, if only for the cookies. read more

Cutting Wedge - Grilled Chicken with cranberry mayo on ciabatta bread. - Delis Near Me - Stratford, Connecticut

Cutting Wedge is a stand out spot in the area! For breakfast, the "C" sandwich with chicken cutlet and hash brown stands out! For lunch sandwiches, we also love a meatball grinder (try it with vodka sauce), the Philly cheesesteak, and the #1 with chicken cutlet, eggplant, prosciutto, etc. Some other must-try foods are the egg rolls and stuffed breads. We can never pick what to have when we go because we simply love everything. The staff is also amazing. They are so friendly and get to know all of their regular customers. Don't pass this deli by! read more

High cost and terrible sandwiches. Almost no meat on a meatball sub. The roll they use is poor quality. I won't go back.

Excellent! I ordered the mini egg rolls, wraps and a tray of Mac and cheese for an event on March 2nd. From making my selections, ordering the food, and pick up the day of the event, everything went flawlessly. I had a few questions during the process and David was quick to respond with the answers.
