Been digging Bert's deli lately. First time I went I got the Stephanucci on a Portuguese roll and potato salad with egg. The sandwich was great. Nice roll and spicy kick from the chipotle mayo. The potato salad was meh... but I also make the best potato and egg salad. Since then I've online ordered a few times for lunch and had great turkey sandwiches and also order a chicken cutlet sandwich to eat for dinner too. I get the one with fresh mozz and roasted red peppers on it. The cutlet was well seasoned and moist! Wondering if they make them in house or not. Anyways Bert's is a great option for all your deli cravings. read more

This is the worst sandwich I think I've had in years I would never come back here. They had to remake the syringe after I was very clear was how I wanted it made. They put the wrong mustard they didn't put mayonnaise. The Rosedale. The piece of chicken was not fresh grilled chicken and it was visibly out of a frozen bag. The size of the chicken didn't even cover the sandwich most of the sandwich the second time it was made which then I asked for the special chicken cutlet that was homemade which was not. Most of my sandwich had lettuce. No protein over nine dollars. Waste of money waste of my time still hungry. read more

I love Bert's Deli! of all the other deli's, restaurants, bard, eateries in the area, Berts is the one and only place I will go for a corned beef reuben. it's perfect and absolutely delicious EVERY Time. I'd like to add that the staff is the kindest, most phenomenal group of people around. I have a hard time ordering items online, after suffering a series of strokes in 2012 I often have terrible memory loss and stumble over words - or lose them all together. I call Berts with my order, usually without any problem, but a couple of times after I've said, "I'd like to order..." my mind goes blank and I feel totally helpless. I know the man is looking at my name on the caller ID and he's familiar with me, So I add, I'll take my usual. He says, "Corned Beef Reuben on marbled rye... anything else, Terri?" Now THAT's Service! I thank God for his kindness and patience. All businesses should treat their customers like this. read more

Not a fan.. have tried several (dozens?) of times for the convenience of being close by, but it's worth driving further to get better food. The sandwiches are inconsistent and bread is often soggy. Not particularly flavorful and lacking spicy options like buffalo. read more

Ordered a turkey, cheese, bacon with Mayo on hard roll. Had the tell the guy behind the counter 5 times what the order was. I received turkey bacon with tomato and Mayo on hard roll. Took it back and they just added turkey and lettuce which I never ordered. I wanted real bacon on my sandwich!!! read more

Food is good, i got bacon egg and cheese twice. Once on a roll and once on a wrap. Both times it was a bit salty. It is fairly inexpensive. Family run business, should give it a try but make sure you tell them only a little salt! read more

I ordered a sandwich and they gave it to the wrong customer since it was very busy. The customer fingered through it so they assured me they would make me a new sandwich. I watched the girl go into the kitchen and re wrap the same sandwich and brought it back out and handed it to me. Disgusting and unsanitary is being polite. I love their Mamas Boy Wrap!! It's meatball & eggplant with cheese on a wrap. It's soft and gooey and their meatballs & eggplant are homemade. I can easily eat this sandwich several times a week!! LOL the staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable . They also have a large, eat in area or deliver your take out. read more

Background: This review is based off of two take out sandwich experiences on two different occassions, so I can't say it was an isolated experience. Experience: Bert's looks like it has all the goods from the outside; Local deli vibe - check Inventive sandwich list - check Assortment of chips/speciality pastas and salads - check Quality ingredients - check However, after tasting a "Mt. Etna" and an "Amy", I have to say I was pretty dissappointed. Mt. Etna - meat portions were lacking and the sandwich execution was uninspired (kind of slopped together) which is never excusable, but it wasn't even busy when I went there. Amy - literall drenched in balsalmic (which would not have been a deal breaker if it was good dressing; it was NOT), and the chicken cutlet was ice cold which is extremely disappointing for a "hot" sandwich. Verdict: Go elsewhere for a quality sandwich because you are overpaying for subpar execution here. read more

First place ive ever reviewed. I made an account just for this. Good lord this place stinks. I gave them 3 trys. Not only does everything taste like fast food that you left on a kitchen counter over night, but the way they construct their sandwiches is in a fashion i once would have assumed was impossible. I got a sandwich with chicken on it today and the chicken cutlet was VERTICAL. I dont even know what to say. Berts is a day old fast food joint. I wish i had seen a roach come out of the kitchen so i could get it shut down. the people who work there are alright. read more

After reading the reviews we decided to place a take out order - steak and cheese on hard roll, barbecue pork on hard roll, sides of plain macaroni salad, tuna macaroni salad and potato salad. The positive- the hard rolls were fresh and good. The not so positive- the steak was inedible - dried out, my husband said the barbecued pork was "just o.k. but would never order it again". He ate half of a sandwich. The 3 salads were tasteless, no seasoning, no celery, no onion. The mayo was dreadful. We discarded everything. We will stick to our normal deli which never disappoints. A waste of $24.00. Hope others have better luck. read more

Yea, they still only get one star on my update. I gave them another chance and I fell in love with their spinach salad with chicken added. So the next time we ordered, I convinced 4 other people to get this salad. All 4 arrived with no Gorgonzola; which is critical to the success of this salad. We called to inquire about it and they failed miserably on how they handled it. The miserable woman that answered with a gruff "Bert's", got mad at us because there was no Gorgonzola. Like WE insisted they leave it out and then changed our minds. Then she brushed us off with a "fine" and heavy sigh when we asked them to bring it. All the salad's flavor and I'm sure half the cost is that cheese! She hung up on us before we could make sure she knew where to deliver it. 45 mins go by and we called to check the status. Someone nicer answered and apologized and said she was leaving now. 45 mins later?! This same girl apologized again when she delivered the cheese. Let me say, the food is great, so they're doing something right. The young girl they have answering the phone and even making deliveries is wonderful. I don't know if it's their management or whomever answers the phone on occasion, but omg they're horrible and should not be allowed to interact with the customers. They need to remember that without customers, REPEAT customers and word of mouth, your business will fail. As it is, our group won't be ordering from there anymore and also won't recommend it to others. read more

This place was REALLY GOOD! Saw it driving by and stopped, checked the yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. I was in the mood for a half sandwich and some chowder but when I got inside I saw it was all about the sandwiches here. Not to worry, they are very good sandwiches! I went with the Mount Etna on a roll and added mayo. (See pic) The roll had a delicious chewy bite to it and it was LOADED with fresh ingredients. They also had great beverage options and a wall of chips to choose from or several other side choices. The two ladies behind the counter were both super friendly and the seating area was clean and tidy. I was there at 1pm and it wasn't crowded even though there were a lot of folks coming in for takeout. I got right through the line and seated to enjoy my awesome lunch :) Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

I go to this deli occasionally on my lunch break from work. I usually grab a salad from the cooler. It's usually OK. Not great, but will do in a pinch. However, today I went in and grabbed a cobb salad from the cooler, brought it back to work, and when I opened it up, I noticed right away that most of the lettuce was wilted, yellow, and slimy. I couldn't eat any of it. I threw out everything, except the chicken on top, which was kind of tough too, and only ate a few bites of that. Very disappointing, and I will think twice before ordering another salad from this deli. read more

Food wasn't bad. My wife ordered a Chx cutlet sandwich. They only put one breast on the sandwich. There was more bread than meat.

This is the best deli in Milford... They have great deli food, and the BBQ Rib sandwich is the best!

im not sure where THE OTHER person ate at.. but i love this place- i go here atleast 3 times a week and i've never had a single issue with any sandwich i've gotten. and believe me, i've tried it all. the chicken cutlet is to die for!! best deli i've been to around the area and the people are so friendly. def a must eat if you're in the area and lookin for a great lunch at a great price. and they have a nice area to sit and eat and watch the news. read more
