Short version: They are no longer our lawn service company. Long version: The luster wore off quickly. I had them over to do irrigation repair, but the bill that arrived was twice what I was quoted. I paid it and moved on. We also paid for weeding, fertilizing and pruning we didn't receive, and they continued to charge us for that for months. They also want to charge year-round, and this is something I missed in the paperwork when I signed up. They damaged quite a few things over the summer, they did fix most of them, but it took multiple calls and emails and there were many excuses made. They seemed like they were doing us a favor to repair the damage their crews caused. On several occasions I had to call to remind them to mow after they skipped us on perfectly sunny days. They like to brag about what a good job they do, but there were plenty of times they missed sections of the yard, or scalped the grass, or forgot edging or blowing. My advice to them would be to inspect more and hire someone to do the billing if they are serious about customer satisfaction. Only about 1 out of 10 mowings occurred without incident, not the greatest track record for a company that claims premium service. Yesterday they showed up in the rain, attempted to blow the soggy leaves in the front only, ignored the back entirely, and were gone in 5 minutes. I watched this through the dining room window, and that was the last straw. Todd said they "were doing me a favor" by not charging me for that, and that they were here 30 minutes. Wow, thanks. When I terminated the service, they informed me that we owe them another $350 so they can be whole for the winter service we don't want, later reduced to $194 when the billing errors were corrected. I'm paying it just so I never have to deal with these people again. When compared to what I was paying last year, they are more than double the price, and the service is no better than what you get from a budget service or the kid down the street. Let me say, I'm not one of those people that expects great service without paying for it. I am happy to pay for a premium service, I just didn't get it with this company. read more

My lawn is the jewel of the neighborhood. I have dozens of shrubs and the crew keeps them looking great. They are courteous and very professional. I get confused on the schedule, sometimes its Monday, sometimes its Tuesday. During the recent rainfall, I got concerned that the crew would not cut the grass for two weeks. As a suggestion it would be nice if someone could text or even an email notification of when the crew is coming or set to come. Otherwise, I have to call and check, which as a year round customer should for over four years should not have to do. read more

I have been using Cutting Edge since 2012 upon my neighbor's recommendation and couldn't be happier. They do a fantastic job on my yard. I've also had them fix my fence posts, check and fix my water sprinkler system and mulch the flowerbeds. They also worked on a section of my yard so that I could have a vegetable garden. I just called to ask about having a yard mowed in a rental property and a new property that I will be owning this on a third of an acre. The man that you answer the phone asked if I was looking for a one time service for an annual service. I said both. When I started to talk about the rental property he said that does not fit their business model. I said that's too bad because I will be moving into a brand-new house on the third of an acre and pick up me off before I could ever finish telling him that because you were so eager to tell me that their business model. I said oh well that's too bad I will find somebody that will be happy to do my third of an acre yard thank you so much. I can't believe this man was so rude and cut me off before ever finding out more about potential business. As this man posted in his follow up comment he kept calling me. I kept blocking his number because he kept calling and texting. It felt like I was being STALKED which made me VERY uncomfortable and still makes me uncomfortable based on his comments. He seems to have written lots of follow up "excuses" and retaliatory comments towards other customers and potential customers because he doesn't like their comments. This is America. Free speech. The customer is entitled to their own opinions based on their real experiences. That is what Yelp is for. STOP calling, texting, stalking, and harassing us. read more

I have been a customer of Cutting Edge for almost five years. They have been the most friendly, efficient and professional lawn care company I have ever used. The office staff are always helpful and the crew are willing to do anything I ask. And the owner, Todd, is amazing! He is so knowledgeable about all sorts of plants, grasses and trees and takes the initiative to treat my lawn and plants for all sorts of critters and issues before I even notice them. He is even willing to outsource some of the work if he knows a specialist who can give you more specific treatment.
