We had recently moved into the house & there were many issues with the irrigation system. Dexter was our tech & replaced sprinkler heads, fixed leaks, capped unused drip irrigation & showed me how to shut off the house's main water line. The system was still not acting right & as it was getting late, Dexter returned in a couple of days and located the intermittent trouble with some zone control valves. I was so happy that Dexter sorted out all the many issues & now the system works beautifully. I think the pricing was very fair. If I need any more repairs, I will call Smart Earth Sprinklers! read more

A neighbor recommended Smart Earth Sprinklers. I called and made an appointment to get my system checked out. They were nice and it was quick and easy. I got a few texts and emails confirming the appointment and Eric showed up exactly on time. He looked over my system and ran it. He determined that several heads were cracked, leaking or just needed replacement. He gave me the price and went ahead and replaced all the heads that needed it. Sprinker systems should be checked regularly. The heads get wrecked and you can waste a lot of water if you don't pay attention. I was very pleased with the service, decent prices and professionalism from Eric. Smart Earth is my go-to company for sprinklers now. read more

I've used Smart Earth Sprinklers for a few years now and each time have received excellent service! Dexter arrived on time, did great work and was very courteous and professional. If you need installation or service on your sprinkler system, look no further. Smart Earth Sprinklers are awesome in every respect. Highly recommended!! read more

He was repairing a leak on my neighbor's yard and I asked him to check one sprinkler head that was missing in my yard. He took a look at it, replaced it in five minutes and did not even charged us. I will be using his services to check out system twice a year. Five minutes of good will, created a new client for him. read more

Scheduling and communications worked smoothly. Dexter was right on time, listened to my explanation of the current problems, did a thorough assessment of the whole system, recommended a few additional steps, provided an estimate of the overall repair. The work was completed quickly and the invoice was as expected. Competent work at a fair price. read more

After informing him of my lawn irrigation symptoms, Gabriels's recommendation to contact a plumber first before having him come out to do a diagnosis paid off. A faulty pressure regulator valve was the culprit. His knowledge, honesty, and integrity have compelled me to give his business a great review. I will definitely contact Smart Earth Sprinklers in the future for irrigation or other lawn problems since I believe they will do a great job at a fair price. read more

Gabriel came out and determined my pressure regulator was bad and recommended a plumber and said he would return at no charge after fixing the pressure regulator. I called after it was replaced and he did a great job of determining the heads that needed replaced. Excellent job and highly recommend. Gary read more

Working with Smart Earth Sprinklers has been a five-star experience from start to finish. The main office (Peggy) was very responsive, which made scheduling and communication a breeze. My technician, Justin, was professional, knowledgeable, and did excellent work. He was patient as well taking the time to explain each step and ensure I knew what was going into the repair process. I had initially called them to replace a broken ball valve on the backflow preventer. Upon further inspection, it turned out that the entire unit needed replacing due to a more substantive crack, likely due to the hard freeze sustained in Dec 2022. It wasn't the news I wanted to hear, but despite this, Gabriel (the owner) called me personally to address my questions and ensure that I was satisfied with the outcome. They care deeply about their work and the satisfaction of their customers, as many other reviews have noted. I highly recommend Smart Earth Sprinklers to anyone on the fence and look forward to using them again. read more

Smart Earth was fantastic, lived up to all of the hype in the reviews in all phases of our working together - agreement, scheduling, on site and follow up. Originally booking was three weeks out though a spot opened up and we ended up getting in with in the week. On site was terrific, highly skilled, efficient, clear as to what was going on and what needed to be done along with options and help with decisions. An additional manager stopped by for inspection and to assist a larger than anticipated project and we were complete and up and running and happy to have everything up to date and working. Highly recommend - if you're considering - do it! Great team, great work, and thrilled to have it all running smooth with the confidence that Smart Earth will backup their work or help me out if something goes wrong again! read more

Eric was great. He located and replaced malfunctioning valve and tested it to verify it worked.

My sprinkler system was a mess so I needed help. I received an immediate response for an available appointment a couple days out. Justin came to the rescue and provided good communication until he arrived so I knew when to expect him. After performing an initial inspection he explained the problem and the most effective solution which involved replacement of valves. He worked with me to provide the most cost-effective solution and was able to deliver this solution in just over an hour. It has only been a few days and we already see the difference; it is great to not see water leaking out over the curb from our yard. I have peace of mind knowing I can rely on them for any other sprinkler work. read more

I've been using Smart Earth Sprinklers for a couple of years now for all of my irrigation related issues. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible their service is and how passionate they are in doing right by their customers. Most recently, I noticed an issue with some water hammering that occurred after a valve was replaced. I reached out to Kitty who handles appointments, and she was able to have Gabriel stop by the very next morning. Gabriel goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. He listened attentively about my problem and got right to work, meticulously diagnosing the issue and left no stone unturned in identifying the root cause. Gabriel and his team are committed to customer satisfaction and it's evident that they care and are passionate about their work and the service they provide. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Do not use this company. A tech was sent who did shoddy work and couldn't answer questions without calling a supervisor. $95 for nothing and told to call a plumber. Sprinklers preciously working fine are still not operating. No attempt by tech to even find the heads to check them. I had to do show him where the heads of sprinklers are. Follow up: Gabriel is misrepresenting his response immediately after the service call and again today when he finally returned my call after the yelp review. He doesn't stand behind the work his techs do. Plain and simple. He's looking for a service call charge with as little work behind it as possible. Hire at your own risk. read more

Smart Earth Sprinklers - Tech only slipped a price of plastic pipe to fix the hose. No way will this hold and keep it from leaking and spraying. - Irrigation Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

They charged $108 to diagnose a problem I described precisely before he started. Excessively expensive and estimate includes items that did not need repair. Got it done for half the price by another company. read more

Great service from when we mutually reached through when they came on-site to fix our sprinkler system. Extremely through during the walk-through/inspection, and they focused on where things could be tweaked/tuned vs. where we might have to completely replace things. For the sprinkler heads we identified as needing work, they were quick and efficient, taking less than an hour to move/raise multiple heads. Great experience all around and we will be using them for any other sprinkler needs in the future. read more

***** Quick response, Eric is great, thorough, honest and offered very helpful suggestions for our irrigation system! We're not watering our neighbors grass for them anymore and our new zoysia will be thoroughly watered from now on - thanks Eric ! read more

Great as always....No cheap but they do great work. The only irrigation service I will call.

Dexter came out and did a great job fixing a hole in one of my sprinkler lines. He was actually able to come out early and gave me a call to see if that was ok, so that was great. He fixed the issue really fast (an hour or so) and gave me some great advice about some other irrigation things I asked about. Great experience, fair price, and will use them again. Thanks to Dexter and Smart Earth Sprinklers! read more

When 3 of my zones didn't work at all and one sprinkler head shot straight up in the air, I knew I'd better get my system repaired quickly. One of my good friends recommended Smart Earth Sprinklers to me (said it was his go-to company for irrigation repair). I was able to schedule an appointment with them for about a week later. Tom came out, diagnosed the issue right away with the non-working zones, and after installing a new controller box, all was working again. He fixed the errant sprinkler head, but didn't have time to do the additional work I requested - which was to switch out all the sprinkler heads that would no longer recede into the ground. But he came back a few days later and took care of that. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the service. read more

I was having issues with 2 of my 12 irrigation zones and several damaged pipe lines. I was nervous about calling out a specialty service. Mostly because I didn't want to be fleeced out of pocket simply because I didn't understand the issue or have a frame of reference for the cost. However, I am very pleased to say that I made the right choice. Everyone I spoke with and worked with was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Their scheduling was very flexible and the fantastic repair tech was perfectly on time, did fast efficient work, and was super engaging. Personally I really like to have professionals I work with explain and/or guide me through the issue and repairs to that I understand what I'm paying for. That's exactly what I got! Great value, a better understanding of my irrigation system, and an overall great experience that I would recommend to anyone. Thanks again y'all! read more

We had a line crack under a sidewalk and caused a major leak in that zone. Called Smart Earth and they promptly sent Eric to our house. He arrived early and quickly discovered the problem. It was a miserably hot and humid day but he had the repair done in about 90 minutes. Great work as always. I only use Smart Earth. read more

I had reached out today to this company to see if they could repair one of my house's exterior irrigation lines that has a crack in the joint. Currently, I have the water shut off at the irrigation backflow prevention due to the leak. I was told that they have a service charge of $100+ just to come out and do a full sprinkler/system check, and this wouldn't be put towards the repair cost. I tried to explain that I had already dug up and visually observed where the leak was and wouldn't need a full system test, only the repair; but that was denied. Unfortunately this company's logic doesn't make sense, as my sprinklers are down currently due to the above described crack in a joint. I don't understand how you can agree to pay for a full sprinkler/system check before quoting the repair, as no water runs to the sprinklers because of the repair needed. Essentially my hands would be tied to their price of the repair quoted, or I would be out $100+ just for the service charge to tell me I have a crack in a joint that needs to be fixed, that has already been identified. Can't recommend any business with practices like this. I have 2 other local sprinkler companies coming out to quote the repair now. read more

Summary: Excellent! Professional, Knowledgable and given the current climate very safe! Definitely would recommend for anyone in need of irrigation! I have an existing system that was not functioning and i had no clue why since i have zero experience in this area. Gabriel the owner was very personable and understanding when scheduling my appointment (and rescheduling due to many reasons), even giving me some things to look for which i appreciated. Tom who took the appointment was excellent from beginning to end. Diagnosed the issues with the system (faulty sockets and mental settings from the previous owner), replaced some heads that were damaged and also taught me how to use the system which was certainly helpful! I would have zero hesitation in recommending this company to anyone and i truly appreciated their time! read more

Smart Earth has been servicing our sprinkler system for years, and when it stopped working in one zone the other day, we called for help. Eric came out the next day, repaired the zone issue, checked the other sprinkler heads, and adjusted or replaced ones on areas of the lawn that weren't getting enough water. I especially appreciated him taking the time to be sure everything was working correctly, and next year I'll remember to have the system checked in the spring instead of waiting until the middle of fall! read more

Eric came ahead of the scheduled time (after checking that it was OK) and quickly repaired the break in my 3/4" irrigation pipe. He didn't waste any water and was respectful of my raised bed that held a new lasagna garden. This was the second or third time I've called them and they always try to get someone out as soon as possible and do excellent work. I'll keep on calling them for all my irrigation needs. read more

I had my fence replaced, and ended up with a broken pipe. Knowing that I had to have my system serviced, I contacted another company that I have used in the past. They were booked out over 4 weeks. Reluctantly I made the appointment and asked for them to call me if anything came up sooner. (Which they did, but it didn't work out). On my way to work one day, sitting at a stoplight, there was a Smart Earth van in front of me. I checked out their reviews on YELP and saw that they had 5 stars from over 100 customers - which made me decide to call to see if I could get in sooner. Gabriel called me the same day and was able to get me on the schedule within 2 weeks. Justin called to say he was running late, which I appreciated, and didn't mind at all. I know this is one of the busiest season for a company like this. He apologized when he arrived (which was less that 15 minutes later than my appointment - which is not bad for a Friday afternoon with traffic). He serviced my system, fixed the broken pipe, and kept me informed and answered all of my questions. Even when I was talking to him about one area that I was concerned with (if had underground drip lines) he explained to me what it would take to replace them, the time and the costs. I was very happy with this company, and with my experience with Justin. Yes, if you are deciding on which company to use for this service, trust the 5 star reviews. read more

I have used this service twice and Justin was always on time and very thorough. He has needed to adjust, replace sprinkler heads and research a leak which ended up not being my irrigation system. The effort Justin put in was amazing. I highly recommend this service. read more

My sprinkler system needed many repairs: replace heads, switch out controller, split up zones. Now it works great. Eric came out this morning, he notified us he was on his way and was right on time. I had a zone that would not work, no water and I had no clue what was wrong. He located another box with solenoid and identified it as the culprit. He also continued to do a complete diagnostic and found two other cracks in pipes. Highly recommend, they went above and beyond, saving me from having to dig up my entire yard looking for the lost valve box. read more

A couple of weeks ago I discovered a gusher at the base of my live oak. Even though he was swamped, Gabriet came out the next day, found the cause of the leak, and determined that he couldn't reach the crushed pipe because it was under my mature live oak. I was out of town last week so he scheduled me for today. He showed up on time, rerouted the line and replaced the complete zone in my front yard. Gabriel is honest, professional and does great work. Whether you need a repair or just a tune up, you owe it to yourself to give him a call! He should be your irrigation specialist! He certainly has earned my business. read more

Called these guys a few weeks ago and had to wait about that long for an appointment. Christian came out and was on time, which is appreciated. I had a couple of zones that were not functioning properly. Took about 30 minutes to locate all the valves, two of which were bad. The price to me was a bit steep, but it was hard work to locate the valves and what not. I will give them that. Valves replaced after 30 minutes and all is working, easy peasy. read more

Fast response, excellent communication throughout including text message notifying of appointment. The technician let me know that he was a few minutes late which was appreciated. When I am lucky enough to find a business that does great work, hires great people and gives me excellent value for my money, I stick with them. Smart Earth Sprinklers is just such a company. I can't say enough good things about the work they've done on my aging sprinkler system and the polite and expert manner in which they conduct themselves. I'll leave it at this: I've never regretted, even for a second, writing a check to pay them for what they've done. I'm sure I'll need more work as my system ages and I hope they will continue to be around to help. Special shout out to Justin, who came to fix a leak and ended up helping me solve a tricky irrigation problem. He was extremely helpful and even gave me some great tips on watering the vegetation I have. (The technician who came out last year for a different issue was similarly helpful and courteous and I'm sorry I don't remember his name so I could thank him as well). I have no qualms giving Smart Earth Sprinklers an enthusiastic recommendation, both here and to my friends. read more

Cant give more them that because I can't get a return phone call. Just wish people could call back and say they are to busy to take work. I guess after 3 days I should get The hint! The owner replied. Which is a good thing. I've owned businesses for 40 years and had emergencies, death in the family, hospitalization. A call to let me know you would get to me ASAP would have been far easier and less time in the last three days the last three days. However you found time within a few hours to write a lengthy apology with a long winded excuse. These are strange times and everyone is having to deal with this. Some better than others. The point is when I owned a business I never apologized with an excuse except my own fault and left it at that. Lesson learned for you as a business owner. The customer or client is always right. I had to learn that the hard way and it only took once! No need to get back to me. Another small company called me back and will get to me as soon as they can. Which will be later this week. They are also small and swamped. read more

Highly recommend. The guys diagnosed the issue of a dead controller and gave me an estimate on the spot. Since they carry stock in their trucks they were able to replace the controller immediately, complete with wifi and rain sensor. They took the time to walk me through the system. I so agree with all the other 5 Star ratings. I could not be happier with the service and work provided By SmartEarth Sprinklers. The SmartEarth Sprinkler Irrigation Specialist (Justin) was extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. Incredible Service! I recently reached out to Smart Earth Sprinklers to set an appointment time for them to assess why my sprinkler system was not working and why I was getting error messages on my controller. My sprinkler system was not originally installed by them as the previous homeowners had used another company. However, when I called to schedule, they were not hesitant at all to help even though the original system was not theirs. To be honest, the system had not been working for about two years so I was expecting a considerable charge due to whatever the problem was. The technicians that came out (Tom and Tony) were punctual that morning and were there for the scheduled time slot. They were fantastic in explaining what they were checking for in diagnosing the problem. After awhile, they said that it would be the controller and gave me a price for replacement. After installation of new controller, they walked all the zones with me and helped adjust sprinkler heads and ensure all was in working order. They then showed me how to run a manual cycle on the system which I did that evening. Unfortunately, I got an error for one of my zones that evening. So I messaged Gabriel and he responded instantly saying that he would reach out the following day. He did so and came by to quickly diagnose the situation of which we had to replace a valve. He did so quickly and even replaced a sprinkler head that had popped off as we were testing the zone to make sure it worked. I would highly recommend Smart Earth Sprinklers as they are professional and attentive to what is needed to get your system back up and running. I appreciate all the hard work...and so does my lawn. Thank you, read more

Like many other Austinites, we discovered our backflow valve was leaking after the freeze. We called a number of places, but they were either scheduled out for a month, or didn't have the part, or were interested in making a quick buck with ridiculously high rates. Smart Earth Sprinklers were able to come out in a couple of days, quoted a fair rate over the phone. They replaced the valve, inspected it, and ran the sprinkler system to check the heads. They were not pushy at all when I said I'd replace the heads myself. They continued the inspection and flagged the bad heads. They had a minor issue when they got some of the purple plastic glue primer on the wall. They apologized immediately, and made things right; they came back within an hour with solution and sandpaper and scrubbed the primer off the wall. Overall, a really good experience. I highly recommend them. read more
