We really enjoyed working with Andy and his team at Rockview Landscaping. We had a very large…read moreproject planned for our backyard. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

I saw a few reviews and have to say this... you have to maintain whatever landscaping anyone puts in - whether it be your irrigation, plants, and weeds that follow!!! Weed barrier overall doesn't prevent Texan weeds from growing, and generally I don't recommend or get weed barrier. Use a natural ground cover that snuffs the bad stuff out. You'll also have to replace some plants - they can be finicky based on the elements and soil (or rocks) which can vary in a single yard. If you are new to the area, know this - color is season al but most often everything is green. It requires so much self care if you want color all year around which basically means planting annuals yourself.

I was able to get the crew to pull over and they said I needed to call their boss. Left numerous messages for Sean and finally got ahold him from calling from a friends number. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. This company does not take responsibility for damage they cause to other peoples property. I would stay clear from someone with such little accountability and respect for other people! You owe me a windshield Sean! Response: You can very clearly see the rocks in the back of the trailer in the third picture. You are just making excuses to not take responsibility for the damage your company caused. After hiring Southern Landscape Solutions for the second time I was a bit disappointed on the reuse…read moreof the crap construction clay as backfill for relocating my sprinklers. This is the clay they use for homes now a days. It's full of rocks, scrap wood, and other construction debris, and it doesn't pack very well initially. I had my sprinklers moved from being next to the house, to next to the fence. The idea is to water the slab area, not the fence area. Builders should do this on every home they build. Again, they did a great job, for a reasonable price, but I wasn't happy. I contacted Sean and they sent out a crew to remove the clay, and backfill it with quality grade top soil. Thanks Sean !!! Now to get the sprinkler heads change so they water up to the slab, as they're not the correct heads to accomplish that. I was hoping that would've been done as well, but perhaps my needs were not explained good enough. We will continue to hire Southern Landscape Solutions, but I'll just be a bit more detailed in what I need done. Worthy of a call and a quote for your landscaping needs !!!

I contacted Matt Clayman about revamping my front and back yard. We had some irrigation problems…read morelast year and coupled with last year's drought we had lost most of our front and back lawn. Matt put together an outstanding plan to minimize the grass in the front, construct magnificent stone masonry garden beds in the front populated with lovely greenery and native plants. He also got rid of the home made stone path in our side yard to our fence door and put in a spectacular walking path surrounded by a wide bed of river rock. In the back yard, his team constructed another masonry garden bed which was perfectly level with our back porch and even has very wide stepping stones built in. In addition to all of this the Clayman Outdoors team re-sodded our complete front yard and the most negatively effected areas in our back yard. This was installed only after tweaking our irrigation system so that we wouldn't have further issues going forward. The crown jewel of the project has to be the driveway extension. It exceeded our greatest expectations. The driveway now has a good 3 foot extension on masoned stone. This extends from the cul-de-sac to our front door. It really serves both a practical as well as an esthetic function. Before our two cars were somewhat cramped in the driveway and we would have to walk in the grass to enter the home or bring in groceries. That is no longer the case! The cherry on top of this whole project was the installation of accent lighting. Our entire front yard is now lit with charming bed and path lights. We also have uplifting on our two trees in the front yard as well as the house. My wife constantly says she feels like we are coming home to a resort. This company does excellent work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Julio by far is the best operator I've seen on tree clearing equipment and would highly recommend him for any job large scale, residential subdivision clearing, or +20 acre parcels that need shaping up for deer hunting.
