Then I went to turn on my sprinklers so they would have some water while I waited and found my sprinkler control panel was a mess and resetting it didn't fix the problem. I told On The Spot Sprinkler Repair about this and they recommended I got an inexpensive replacement sprinkler control system from Amazon which then arrived the same day. I told the repair service that I was now in a bit of a rush since I went from maintenance needs to a completely broken system, and they squeezed me in the next day which was EXTREMELY nice of them! Oh, and it turns out that my sprinklers were fine after the winter, I just had a busted control system -- perhaps from an electrical surge so I am now protecting the system with a UPS/surge protector setup. (I had an old UPS that I was going to throw away but it had plenty of juice left in it for such a little control system.) All communications with them were very fast and professional and On The Spot Sprinkler Repair was very knowledgeable which is not always the case with repair people.

I found Adam Paquette from Landscape and Irrigation Masters after he replied to someone in a local neighborhood Facebook post. I liked what he wrote. I checked out his website and liked what I saw. Adam came to our house and we gave him a basic outline of what we wanted. He got excited and started talking about all the ideas he had to make our front and back yards beautiful. He put together Drawings of his plans and an estimate and it was very reasonable. We hired him and he started the next day. He worked all day and into the evening for about a week. When he was done the result was better than we imagined. New plants, new irrigation and limestone retaining walls in both front and back yard. Adam is honest, hardworking and trustworthy. He is now our go to landscape guy.

Update: the owner called me and was very concerned that I was upset. I explained that I was frustrated that I had to dig through 4 emails and make a phone call to get the quote that I asked for. He explained that since they provide full service lawn care (not just mowing) that his rep was just trying to offer their full range of services. While I still don't think that their communication is great, it's obvious to me that the owner really cares about customer service.
