While I was setting up Christmas decorations, I observed that one of the bushes has begun to regrow, which seems to be regarded as a miracle since the root ball was supposedly removed! Additionally, I noticed that a considerable portion of the newly installed concrete slab is distinctly discolored due to inconsistent or improper mixing. Unfortunately it seems I will have to resolve this through our court system.

Pete has always been honest, patient and a professional to work with. His employees are well trained and skillful in the performance of their work. We really enjoyed working with Andy and his team at Rockview Landscaping. We had a very large…read moreproject planned for our backyard. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

I have no idea what has happened to the company since my first experience, but this wasn't what I expected. When I checked on their progress the first day, there were several issues that were quite obvious, so I had to point those out to them the next day. Then, they cut the bottom of my gate fence far too short than necessary to fit a paver underneath. It was very unsightly and below the standards of a very strict HOA. They promised to come back in three days to fix the gate and asked for the rest of the payment for the project. Being trusting, I paid them. That too, was a mistake. From then on, they either made excuses or didn't bother to respond to my many emails and phone calls. Finally, after threats of legal action and mention of recordings on outdoor cameras of them promising to come back and fix the gate, they finally came back about 1 1/2 months later and repaired the gate. Fast forward to March 19th. I noticed the mortar used for the stones was separating and/or breaking apart in several areas. So, I first contacted Love for Lawns by email and notified them of the problem, because the workmanship is still under the 1-year warranty. In response, on March 20th, they told me they would put me on their "warranty schedule". That never happened and they never responded to any of my calls and emails after that. After a Google Review, the last email I received from them was on May 19th, stating "I will schedule the repair for next week". Again, I have not heard from them since. I tried to be patient and probably gave them more chances than most would before I took to Google Review and Yelp to provide reviews. I finally resorted to sending them a 'Final Notice' certified letter dated June 3rd, giving them 10 days to respond or I would pursue legal/regulatory options. Still no response as of yet. So, here I am.

I truly believe that if you came out to inspect the work yourself, you would agree that it does not meet acceptable standards. Both Joshes were out here overseeing progress nearly every day, keeping our sprinklers set to keep our new grass and plants alive during over 100 degree heat for weeks. The crew worked sun up to sun down (this was a new construction home on an acre lot, total landscaping needed), but always left the site clean once they left for they day, including blowing the dust out of the street and driveways. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Everything owner Sean told us would happen, was completed when he said it would be completed.
