Carl is the numbers guy, William is the PM/building guy and together they make a good team. We had to work through a lot of details especially with the addition (permitting, pouring foundation, etc.) and the team was helpful and patient throughout. When we encountered some challenging issues with the siding project (demo from the siding caused minor interior damage and an exterior hose spigot was accidentally cut), the team resolved the issues appropriately. The workers try to be careful but unexpected things happen and the team/William were quick to fix things! I highly recommend this company to use for projects like custom sheds but also larger projects like patios, additions and even exterior projects like siding!

Ben was very accommodating as we worked though multiple rounds of revisions to the quotes due to new requirements from the various houses. He quickly made the updates and got the revised quotes sent out. From a customer service and price standpoint, Good Neighbors Fence was easily the best of the 3 companies we requested quotes from. As for the quality of the fence, we could not be happier. Ben was on-site at least once or twice a day to supervise the crew throughout the 3 day installation. The actual crew was very professional and completed all the work with good attention to detail. They did a fantastic job keeping the work site clean throughout the day, and always made sure everything was orgainized before they left for the day. As always there were a few very minor details to be addressed on the final walk-through, but each item was quickly resolved by the team with a smile. The team really did make an effort to ensure everything was done to their high standards. We wanted a slab in our breezeway but needed it done so the slab was sloped AWAY from the workshop to avoid any water going into the building. They did the complete opposite and sloped the concrete TOWARDS the workshop so badly it will have to be removed to avoid any water damage. After the concrete had dried we could see just how badly the slope was. We tried talking to Jorge the owner about the bad job they had done and They offered to remove the slab but for a big price, which was even higher than what they charged us for the slab install. Such a disappointment. After repeatedly asking if they were going to make sure the slab would not slope towards the workshop They agreed that it would be just what we asked for. The slope is so high and so bad we can't even open our doors completely. The owner and his son seemed like honest genuine guys. My husband even bought them lunch both days they were here. Not knowing what we were going to be left with. They have refused to take any responsibility for this terrible job and they actually want more money to fix THEIR MISTAKE! It was our mistake to trust these people. Dishonest and corrupt contractors. We DO NOT recommend this company!!

After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. KG Lawn Care exceeded my expectations and truly helped me complete my dream back yard - The quality of work and character of Umesh will have me recommending him and his company to all my family and friends!

Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. Travis even performed a final QA check on the operator to make sure operation was up to their quality standard. Every team member was very knowledgeable and professional. I asked for the rose bushes to be trimmed on occasion and to fill in bare spots in the back yard with mulch which he quoted at $30 extra. Fair enough to me. He takes Zelle payment if you don't have cash on hand. Superb! At the end of the job he asked if he could put up a sign designating his work, which was fine by me. I gave him a $20 tip too.

Having lived with the original builder grade bath for close to 40 years, I…read moredecided it was time to start preparing to "age in place" and get my master bath completely redone - shower conversion, floor tile, cabinets, new toilet, wallpaper removal and painting. This was my first major remodel, so I don't really have anything to compare with. The nits I experienced were pretty minor and probably typical for a job this scale. I found Jose thru Yelp after verifying his other reviews were from real people and not AI generated. I had initially gotten quotes from several of the bathroom remodelers that advertise on TV and experienced sticker shock. One of them turned out to do only the wet area - I would have had to get someone else for the floors, cabinets, painting, etc. Their quote for just the shower area ended up being about what I paid Jose for the entire job. Another of the TV advertisers could do everything I wanted, but their quote was almost 3x what Jose quoted! Yes, they could do it in 2-3 days, but is that worth 3x the cost? One of the first nits I experienced was that Jose didn't tell me the whole master bedroom would be sealed off during the project. Not that big a deal, but I wish I'd known that in advance. They got the demo completed the first day. One of the more time-consuming parts was removing the old wallpaper, which seemed to take about 2 days (the old walls were completely papered). His crew foreman Javier is a master craftsman. I learned pretty quickly to trust his experience. When I had initially seen the tile backer boards installed for the shower, I thought they had forgotten the niche shelf I'd requested. He explained that goes in last. One of the other nits I experienced was that I had to buy a lot of the supplies myself. I would have much preferred just pointing to stuff in a catalog, and Jose go buy them. The biggest problem with that was the grout. I trusted the tile shop's recommendation on grout, and when I delivered it to Javier, he said that stuff is no good. He explained that since it has silicone, it constantly outgasses and leaves a film on the tile. I went online and saw some other reviews with the same comments, so that reinforced my decision to trust what he was doing. Similar experience with the safety grab bars. I just bought some from Amazon, which came with cheap nylon screw locks. Seemed pretty flimsy should you have to actually use them to prevent a fall. Javier was able to use drywall anchors to securely lock them in place. The last nit was the cabinet installation. They were in such a rush to finish the cabinets that the toilet hadn't even been installed. Since I switched to an elongated ADA style toilet, it turned out the medicine cabinet above the toilet could no longer be reached at the old one's height. They had to come back and lower it 4 inches. Again, an easy correction, but would have been unnecessary if they had put the new toilet in first. Jose's crew finished up in 2 weeks, but it was another week before the glass shower doors and mirror showed up to be installed. Anyway, they finally went in today, and I am very happy with the end results. My neighbor had his bath redone last year, and comparing Jose's work to my neighbor's handyman, Jose is miles ahead. I finally know what "Schluter" is. My neighbor doesn't have it, so there are sharp tile edges everywhere! Jose Robles Remodeling will definitely be in the running to do my other 2 bathrooms.

With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I've never found a company that is this helpful or this responsive.

For about five years, we had Austin Gardeners at the top of our wish list. After seeing the outstanding results they delivered for several of our neighbors, we knew they were the right choice for transforming our backyard. It took some time to save up the budget, but it was well worth the wait. Our backyard was such a headache before Austin Gardeners stepped in. It was muddy, poorly graded, and overrun with weeds, making it almost unusable for both us and our dogs. But thanks to Carlos and his team, we now have a backyard that exceeded our expectations. Carlos, our dedicated customer service rep, worked closely with us to prioritize our needs and ensure everything was within our budget. From fixing the grading and drainage to creating a dog-friendly environment and incorporating native perennial plants, Carlos was on top of it all. The crew, led by Jacob, worked hard to bring our vision to life. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the project, from tearing up the old grass to building a stunning dog run that spans the length of our side yard. In my opinion, Manuel is a gifted designer. On his first visit, he was able to hear my objectives and describe hardscape and landscape solutions that took all into account. His vision was well beyond mine. He and his men reconfigured my front beds, added steps and a sidewalk with flagstone inserts from the driveway, around the house, incorporating a side flagstone patio and across the back, outlining a reconfigured bed, and to the back patio. They also installed two substantial trellises and a planter, reworked my existing fountain and redid the other side of the house to include more stone and xeriscaping. Major improvements to my irrigation system were included. The crews were friendly and efficient, usually arriving at 9:00 and finishing about 10 hours later. They suggested improvements as they went that made the yard more attractive and functional (stepping stones by faucets, french drain and relocated kitchen garden with sprinkler). They left my yard neat and clean at the end of each day. The finished job is extraordinarily beautiful, and I can recommend Manuel most highly. read more

Manuel & his team are really talented and ended up being a no-brainer hire for us after searching for the right contractor! We wanted a really nice bar with outdoor kitchen and they totally blew us away. The project came in right on budget with no surprises, we were allowed to make a couple of changes along the way and Manuel's crew kept the job site clean for us at all times. The project included a built in grill, Kamado Joe, sink, storage cabinet and drawers, ice chest, fridge and warming drawer - all built in with a beautiful limestone and black granite finish. They even installed some LED lights under the bar for us. Manuel's electrician (Alfredo) and Counter Top sub were also fantastic and exceeded our expectations. All work was completed per estimate and on time. Manuel and his crew are just finishing up a big project at our lake house on LBJ. We have been trying for several years to come up with some ideas on how to tie in our existing breezeway to an outdoor kitchen pavilion. We finally decided to call Austin Gardeners because we had met Manuel about two years ago at the home and garden show and were impressed with him. Cass came out and created a wonderful drawing to scale for us. The project is almost finished and it looks amazing. Manuel and his crew Pedro, Sergio, and Robert are awesome. We decided to save water and called Austin Gardeners to give us a bid. Manuel came out and listened to what we wanted and worked well with putting together his ideas with ours. It took only four days for them to completely transform a large corner lot with thirsty St Augustine grass to an amazing xeriscape complete with drought resistant plants, beautiful rock and edging. All the gentlemen that worked here were polite and helpful. When we decided to change out some of the plants (a few days before the work began) it was not problem at all. It has given our home great curb appeal and we expect to save a lot on water since they reworked our sprinklers to drip in the plants. We could not be more pleased with the finished yard. Manuel was top notch- he knew exactly what to do and project managed the whole thing from beginning to end. The team was extremely professional and their work product was truly amazing. A phenomenal turn key contractor team for transforming your yard into whatever you want. After getting our professional design, they went to work quickly and in a timely manner. Manuel was very easy to talk to and he was clear in his commitments of availability. Once they were available, he had a crews of 4-5 guys come out and finish 90% of the work in two weeks. They were putting in finishing touches for the next couple of weekends but they were wonderful throughout it all. I would highly recommend their work. It was a challenge to find a one stop shop, but Roberto's team stepped up to that challenge and did a great job. The scope of the Project: 1) increase our patio deck stairs' landing area by 35% making it safer for those exiting and entering our rear patio. 2) demolition of the existing cedar deck materials to be replaced by Trex composite requiring little to no maintenance moving forward 3) frame out the new patio landing and stairs, adding 2 additional stairs to make the overall patio stairs solution safer 4) remove and redirect our gutter downspout so that it was not in the way of the newly installed patio stairs 5) modify the steel railing on the old stairs to accommodate the larger footprint of the new landing and additional stairs They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, so I'll let the following "before" and "after" pictures speak for themselves

I felt it was important I updated my review as a lot has happened to the deck in the 3 years since…read morethey put it in. Though the deck looked good initially in just 3 years it is rotting away and we just now realized to what extent. It got in such a bad state we decided to have someone redo the whole deck. When they took off the top boards the frame itself had half rotted away (including the whole frame for the steps) and we realized it could have caved under us at any time. In the attached picture you will see the current state of the frame. Half of it has rotted away. We initially used them because they were the best price and they did work fast and were flexible to our requests. However, the tradeoff seems to be they used poor material. It was either not pressure treated or leftover material they got from a building being constructed that isn't meant to be used for a deck. I can't confirm but regardless proper material shouldn't rot like this in just 3 years. I write this to warn you to make sure they are not skimping on the materials as this can become a safety hazard.
