First off... I rarely write reviews because I do not have the time. But in the case of Bradley & 512 Landscaping, they deserve the highest praise I could give a company. They just completed a 2 1/2 month project at my home, and to say I am pleased would be an understatement. The attention to detail, the professionalism shown, and most importantly, the end result speak for themselves. They did an amazing job in every area they touched (plant beds, new lawn, irrigation, lighting, etc.), which was top-tier work. This project was completed approximately 3 weeks ago, as of this review, and I believe the most recent work is a great indication of what to expect when hiring now. I also feel you get what you pay for... and under that premise, I would highly recommend 512 Landscaping because the finished product will exceed whatever expectation you started with. We had another company taking care of our yard that did not show up for several months. We have many native plants and a xeriscape yard and it looked horrible. I contacted Bradley at 512 Landscaping and they came out quickly and performed a miracle on all of our plants and the yard. They will also provide the service going forward as gardeners (not just a company who mows your yard). We had a full front and back yard project that required eliminating LOTS of existing trees/shrubs/rocks and starting fresh with all new sod and grass ... in addition to installing a sprinkler system throughout. It was a huge project, with lots of details involved. Brad walked the property several times with us to plan and discuss all the options and made sure we were well informed and comfortable with all the decisions we made. He was super helpful in suggesting plant and tree types that best suited our location/needs, and in helping to fill in the gaps in the ideas that we had for our yard. His bid was very thorough and left me comfortable knowing what to expect financially. It was all transparent and very fair. Brad and his team showed up on time and put in work every day they came, and were very communicative whenever I popped out to ask a question. From start to finish, thats what made me the most comfortable, is the fact that he never shied away from or hid anything during the whole process. If something was going to end up costing more bc of materials, he let me know. If something needed to be delayed, he let me know. Brad and his team have done a great job so far keeping the yard looking good. Initially hired late last fall, they did a great initial and long over due thorough trim and cleanup. Since then he has come as needed over the winter/spring to keep everything tidy, including installing some wrought iron gates for me. Understandably, they were backed up a bit for a few weeks due to the ice storm cleanup through much of March, but they did a good proper job trimming the 8+ large trees I have on the property, under the cost I've paid in past years for trimming during normal circumstances with others. This was my first time working with Brad and his crew. They were extremely helpful and professional. Scheduling was easy and Brad and his crew showed up on time. I have several sprinkler's relocated, one damaged sprinkler replaced, and one broken sprinkler pipe and electrical line replaced. The yard is very big and the work required alot of digging. The work was done in a efficient and fast pace. Brad also took plenty of time explaining and educating about the sprinkler repairs and helpful ongoing maintenance tips. Brad and his crew are absolutely fantastic; in addition to being highly detailed, proactive, and efficient, I truly appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done as perfectly as possible. A great example of this was when they did our tree trimming service when Brad spent time with my wife and I to explain where the trees needed to be trimmed, what difference it'll make and more importantly, the importance of getting them trimmed to ensure it was not going to damage our roof or potentially fall on our vehicles in the event of a storm. Brad also replaced our mulch fully and installed a more modern irrigation system which has helped us significantly in terms of time and cost savings. My thanks to Brad Jones and his crew for a continuous job well done. I have a big yard, 42 stations in all. Over the years, as I cleared off more and more of the property, I extended the sprinkler system accordingly. Unfortunately, I didn't use the same sprinkler company each time. Here comes Brad Jones. I certainly created a mess for him. He tackled the job as a man on a mission. He was able to sort out my spaghetti bowl of wires and bad valves and piping leading to nowhere. I have no idea how somebody could have done all of that. Now I have a sprinkler system that works great. What I like best about Brad is that he does what he says he is going to do. He is always on time and he and his crew move with speed. They are like the Energizer Bunny on steroids, even in these 106-degree temperatures we have had this year. In addition to being my sprinkler guy, Brad has just agreed to take on all my landscaping and maintenance. I'm confident my yard is going to come back beautiful with Brad on the job. read more

The saying is never more true "You pay for what you get" when speaking of 512 Landscaping. The owner Brad is amazing and his quality control is awesome especially when it comes to landscaping projects. Many other vendors will cut corners just to get your business, 512 Landscaping does not. If you want to do it right uses these guys. I have been burnt in years past for example when I didn't do things like properly add and remove the old soil and making the trees were cut down to allow sunlight to get in when replacing my sod. I also like that he is thorough, so like if a paver doesn't look in sync with Brad's vision he was adjust it or replace it. Brad also is smart on what type of plants should be planted from the best native plants to ones that are good to handle droughts or those freeze events. Is 512 Landscaping the most cost effective vendor out there? no, but nor are they the most expensive; I can attest they are the best quality vendor in Central Texas focus his landscaping services more of a home investment than just doing a job to get paid. Lastly, I have now done 3 projects over a 2 year period so I can speak to the above. read more

I was going to send this as a message to Brad, but realized it would be more helpful here: Every time I get a service I remember how beautiful my garden can be! I had my yard landscaped a few years ago by another company. It looked beautiful when it was done, but quickly lost it's luster when the maintenance company I chose did the bare minimum. Weeds would creep in and dead leaves pile up in cracks and corners. Every year I'd pay a lot to have things put back to where they should be, but that never lasted long. Then came 512 Landscaping! They cost more than the company I was using, but for very good reason. Every time they visit, they bring the garden back to where it should be. If I could give a lower rating I would. Contacted Bradley in December about an extensive lawn maintenance, sprinkler repair, landscape architecture and implementation job. Agreed upon $250 law maintenance service for bi-weekly service starting in January. He came over once in three months! Once! Everytime we contacted him about it there was another excuse about other clients, priorities, tree trimming, spring break, I guess I wasn't a client then? Was months before he was able to come and remove trees again telling me that other clients had priority although we had supposedly been placed on the schedule to remove trees before the storms in Austin. When he did show up charged 9k to remove palm trees and some other trimming, significantly more than any other quote but was hoping he did a good job. Instead didnt remove multiple trees requested, killed/removed other trees/plants he wasn't supposed to touch, and then left so much debris my pool filter broke. Once again no lawn was cut, promised to come on 21st or 22nd after three months of not cutting lawn but on 24th get text as why he couldn't come again. Consistent excuses that it is only him and three other guys. None of this was told to us when we signed up for the service. We asked multiple times if he had the bandwidth to do the job and was repeatedly assured he could. Discussed starting on landscaping and then told he couldn't start until June although from beginning we discussed this would all get done in the spring. Basically paid over 9k for one lawn mowing and removal of 3 trees. Triple anyone else was quoting...tried to address directly with Bradley but he refused so now have to go through Amex and courts...biggest waste of time as now starting from square one. Obviously overcommits himself and then when he can't deliver makes his problems yours with constant excuses... read more

I have a 25+ year old system that has been adequate, but the controller finally bit the dust & became unreliable. I contacted 4-5 contractors on Yelp, including "512 Landscaping." He was booked several weeks out, but would try to work me in & he did within about 10 days. He called this morning & showed up when he said. He reran wiring and installed a rain/temp sensor in the 2 hour time frame along with programming my timer. He did everything he said and recommended some changes to improve an outdated system. Rude, unprofessional, and just a straight up terrible company and experience!! I called these people up to inquire about setting up service at my property. First off, what professional business answers the phone "Yeah?". I had to ask if I had the right number. After yet another "yeah...it's us" I continued to ask if they have a route in my area and details of their service. The guy repeatedly cut me off mid-question. Then...when I asked if I could get an on site estimate for the job I'm looking to have done, the guy says - "If I took the time to come out, how committed would you be?" I was surprised at that question, but just responded truthfully - I told him I'm comparing bids and will choose the best one. Once he heard that he responds - "you have another person coming out? Honestly, I don't want your business." I was shocked at how unprofessional a company could be that has the word "Professional" in their name! The owner, Brad Jones, is unstable, unreliable and unprofessional. He continually skipped mowing our yard which resulted in letters from the HOA. His prices are exorbitant. When he "trims" the bushes, he cuts off so much greenery that they are left looking like a pile of mutilated sticks. When you try to fire him he calls repeatedly, even having the audactiy to come to your home and bang on the door. It was disturbing. read more

Austin Lawn Professionals is by far the best landscaping company I have ever used! I can't believe how great my lawn is looking since I hired Brad last year to get my lawn in order. I was doing my best to take care of the lawn myself but with work and kids it made it really difficult to spend anytime on my landscaping. I told Brad I needed some serious help with my yard and have to admit he is not only very honest with his work ethic but educates you on what works and what doesn't so you are not wasting cash. He tells me all the time "Just water the lawn and I will take care of the rest". This service is overextended, doesn't notify if they can't come, and promises services that they don't deliver. They weed whacked a large vine, kept promising to replace it, and never delivered. When they started, I walked the yard and told them how I wanted the shrubs pruned. They kept postponing pruning and finally went after everything with a hedge trimmer, removing a huge proportion of the leaves. I am now left with sticks. When I complained about the mutilation, Mr. Jones said "if you wanted your bushes trimmed a particular way then you need to speak up." His manner was rude and condescending. When I told him I wouldn't pay for the mutilation he said that I owed for several mows and if I didn't pay "you will not like me. I promise you". Was that a threat? read more

I had a very good experience with Austin Lawn Professionals. I submitted my information on their website and received a call-back within minutes. Upon speaking with Brad Jones on the phone, he was very professional and went out to my home almost immediately in order to give me an estimate. Then from there, he submitted a professional estimate for the services I requested via email, which was very affordable. Brad was able to come service my lawn the very next day and his work is outstanding! I had quite a little forest of weeds in my backyard, and Brad was able to make my yard look better than it has in months. Not only that, but he dug out two stubborn stumps in my front yard flower bed within minutes when I had struggled with them for over an hour prior to calling Brad! He also power washed all of the hard surfaces of my home, and it is practically gleaming!
