Over the past couple of years, our trees had grown out of control! A friend highly recommended Certified Arbor so we gave them a call. One of their reps met me at the house, we did a walk-through and he checked every tree. Since we're on a budget, he broke the bid into minimum "have-to's" and a total for everything. The rate quoted to take care of everything was very reasonable, and within what we had budgeted. So we made an appointment about a week out for the team to come. My husband was able to work from home that day in case the workers had any questions. He said they were very professional, friendly and fast. They brought a chipper/shredder and took care of everything on-site. They did a wonderful job! Our trees look GREAT, and it doesn't look like we live in a jungle anymore. Our trees had not been tended to in over 20 years. And the ice storm left many dead branches on our live oaks. The first company we contacted in the spring wanted to be paid in full BEFORE cutting even started! Thank goodness I persisted in my searching and found Certified Arbor Care. The arborist who came out and consulted had some good tips for us. Her proposal was slightly less than the "all up front" company. A crew of three (very nice guys) showed up this morning and got right to work, climbing our very large live oaks fearlessly. I'll cut to the chase- thoroughly satisfied! The grass is thanking us for the increased sunlight in our yard! I can see the sky again in the back yard. Live oaks and cedar all shaped up, and dead wood all gone. Prompt painting of the cuts. They also trimmed an out-of-control large bush in back yard, which actually has an attractive natural dome shape now. Trees were artfully cut back from our roof and that of our neighbor. And front and back yards cleaned up so you wouldn't know we had just had trees trimmed. I recommend them highly. read more

Their OWN WEBSITE advertises their service for brush hauling and tree trimmings removal. It's on TOP OF THEIR OWN WEBPAGE! "Fast, Neat and Affordable Brush Hauling and Removal Services" they say. "If you have a removal and hauling task ahead of you for anything to do with landscaping and tree care, we are the ones to call", they say. But when I called to request a quote to haul away some brush,..their immediate response was "oh, we don't do that". I said,..."it's on your webpage and why I called you!!". She says "really? We'll have to look into that". Seriously??? And tell me what kind of business has office hours from 8 am til only 3pm? I'm thinking,...lazy, incompetent people who have phony advertising for fake services. read more

It was good value although didn't trim as much as I thought they would. They were wanting to be safe and not damage the tree. But it was mentioned they'd return to trim more for additional fee! So, it isn't making too much sense I guess? read more

I accepted their quote in September but then they took 6 months to perform the tree cutting service. In the meantime, recent heavy storm winds took down several very large dead limbs they were scheduled to cut. (Limbs that were in the original quote). It was pure luck those limbs didn't hit my roof. They did not alter the final price despite the fact there was less trimming required on the day of service. I'll not use them again nor will I recommend them for the following reasons - failure to issue a new quote, extreme delay in service. I did not appreciate the crew urinating behind my garage. However, they did do a good job trimming what was needed. I never heard or saw the guy who prepared the quote (Nathan) again and apparently he didn't feel the need to follow-up regarding the downed limbs or to verify the work of the crew. read more

FIrst impression was wonderful. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable about trees and shrubs, reasonable quotes, good work, excellent clean up. But not all the work got done first time, and finishing the job ended up taking 9 months. They were fine about not paying until the work was complete, but I couldn't get the work scheduled. Eventually, their office started calling me asking about the outstanding amount, and I'd tell them that the remaining work had not been scheduled. That would prompt a call about setting up an appointment, I'd reply, and they'd never respond back to confirm a date. A month goes by and the cycle started over again. To be fair, a couple times my schedule delayed things a little, but it really felt that mine was a minor job (~$2k) and didn't have their attention. So what's the right rating when a company has good, smart, friendly and knowledgeable staff that can do the job and do it well, but is horrible at communication and scheduling? I have to go with "life's too short". I wish them well; if they could start scheduling and following up consistently, they'd be highly recommended. read more

I was worried about a tree in front yard that was quite tall and suddenly losing a tone of bark after the big Texas ice storm of 2020. I called these guys out and they should up having warned me that any work on site would charge me the default fee. Fair enough! Wheels rolling costs money, totally understood and ready to pay. But the tech arrived on site, took one look at the tree and assured me this was totally normal and not to worry. I was thinking "oh god, I'm going to pay a fee for something so simple. Much to my surprise, the tech just said "don't worry about it, it doesn't feel right charging for this". I love that. And with that trust built, I'm ready to use them any time I need an arborist in the future! Great work to a clearly great company. read more

It's so nice to find a company that really knows what they're doing! I had some of the best rated arborists on Yelp come out to see my oak tree suffering from chlorosis. They all gave it different treatments and none of it did a thing. I called out Certified Arbor Care and let them know what had been done so far. Dan figured it out right away (phosphorus toxicity, for the record), and saved our beautiful red oak. I needed a hackberry tree taken down due to a trunk rotting fungus condition. I received three quotes all from company arborist and each insured. One quote was from a company I've used for 20 years for other takedowns and trimming. Certified happened to be the low bid but their work didn't reflect that. The crew was careful in guiding the limb and trunk drop around a large electrical junction box, cable housing, landscaping plants and an up scale fence with no damages. Great cleanup. Courteous, efficient crew. Give this company a look for your next tree service. read more

Used them about 3 times in three years, but I won't be using them again. In those 3 years, I've had two no-shows for estimates. Nothing is more frustrating to me than a no-show. It's rude, a waste of my time, and it's unprofessional. read more

We had our trees trimmed at our home out at Lake Buchanan. Nathan our contact person was professional and very polite. He was prompt on his email responses. The trees they trimmed look great. We had a brush pile that we have collected over the last 2-3 years during the recent drought that we had not gotten around to burning or disposing of and they took all that extra brush away as well!! Certified Arbor Care came out today to haul away and chip two trees I had cut down myself. They arrived when they said they would and the 5 men got to work immediately. One crew member brought out a chainsaw and cut the trunk down even with the ground, I hadn't even asked them to this, they just saw what needed to be done and took care of it. They then raked up all the leaves and branches and even blew off my driveway on their way out. 10 minutes and they were done! My 2 year old even got to help haul some twigs and the men were friendly and patient with him. Fast, friendly and efficient, I would definitely call Arbor Care back in the future! read more

Dan and the guys came out today and did a great job at my house. They even gave me an option of directing the work so that I could get done only what I wanted. They were on-time, safety conscious, pleasant and hard working and they cleaned everything up well before they left. Certified Arbor Care is just excellent in every respect. Nathan, a certified arborist, came and walked the property at length and explained what they recommended to be done. The quote that followed in two days was consistent with that approach, and very reasonable; in fact our neighbor, who did not use a certified arborist, and did not get the same service, paid virtually the same for a much smaller property. We scheduled a mutually available date, and they called to confirm, showed up on time, and Nathan kept us informed. At the end of the first day they cleaned up, and we could not tell that they had even been there. The second day was the same. At the end, our yard looked like a park. Not only are they qualified, insured (including workman's comp), and well equipped, they are also certified in Oak Wilt. That means that they sanitize their tools before coming to your yard and they paint every wound on all oak trees! If you value your trees and your property, this is essential. Our total experience was great, we are completely satisfied with the service, thrilled with the look and quality of the trees now, and we would recommend Certified Arbor Care without hesitation. I needed some trees trimmed away from around my house, and much of the work would have to be done at heights of approximately 30 feet above ground level. I called and received estimates from several tree-trimming companies. The job evaluator, Dan, arrived on time, evaluated what needed to be done, and emailed me the estimate the next day. Once I approved the estimate via email, Dan scheduled the work for a later time. The technicians (Daniel and Javier) arrived when scheduled and did outstanding work. One "climbed" the tree, and with a chain saw, cut the high, overhanging large branches, while insuring they didn't fall on my high, 2-story roof and damage the shingles. The other trimmed branches at around the 10-15 feet foot-high level with a pole chain saw and another pole saw. When their branch-cutting work was completed, they moved all the branches to a shredder, ground up the branches, and blew the chips into a large truck. They also raked up the little branch pieces from all the areas around the house where they'd been working. I additionally had a very large, dead, crepe myrtle that needed to be removed, and they cut it off at ground level and then shredded the "beast," whole, in about 45 seconds. The trunk appeared to be about 10-12 inches in diameter. My choice of Certified Arbor Care was an excellent one in my mind. Their price was reasonable; their work was skilled and professional; their estimating, billing, and receipting process for the work done was very modern; and I can't say enough about their quality service. They get my recommendation, and I'm generally loathe to ever even write-up recommendations. read more

We had them come out to cut away roots from our foundation and install a root barrier. Nathan was friendly helpful and knowledgeable and I assume the pricing is in line with other companies. The only gripe I have is when they came out to actually do the work they drove through the yard leaving ruts and damaging a sprinkler head. read more

Hired Certified Arbor Care after getting a recommendation from a family member who had used their service recently and was very pleased. Called them and they came right out to the house for an estimate. The estimate was very competitive and we decided to hire them to remove the dead wood from 8 adult live oak trees and thin the canopy and remove from 5' within our house. They came out to the house on day of commitment and completed the task in about three and a half hours. Everything looks great! The cleanup was spectacular considering the amount of debris that was on the yard after the cutting/pruning was done. Can't even tell they were here except for the nicely trimmed trees we now have. They even went the extra step of cutting some tree wood from a couple of trees that extended into our yard from the vacant property behind our house.
