My group would hit the road at 8:30 next morning. The GREAT Goofy's asked if I wanted to come in at 6 or 7 am. They usually open at 8 am. I picked 6 am and I drove up at 6am and the doors were opening. I am moved by the level of consideration and kindness. Plus they did an absolutely top notch job - replacing both collector gaskets in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. Unbelievable- the best work and the BEST people.

I went to check on progress & was told 1 stud & lug nut was stripped on a front wheel. I was then advised to have them replace ALL studs & lug nuts on all 4 wheels. My cost went from $1,000 for the shocks to $2,225 for replacement of all wheel bearings & fuel system service. I put my brother on the phone while at Goofy's to discuss this as he's had 30 yrs as owner of a tire shop & has replaced studs & lug nuts & knew the time it took. He was dubious about their price of labor & need to replace all of them. He then suggested I bring my van to him & he'd get it repaired as needed. I cancelled the rest of my planned service & paid for the 4 shocks which my brother later told me he thought were overpriced too. I will encourage my friends to compare prices before agreeing to have work done at Goofy's. He has asked for them back with text and calls MANY times over the course of the last couple weeks, and they do not even answer calls or reply to texts with anything other than false promises that he will return the call later. At this point my father has been forced to spend thousands of dollars on new drive lines, and lost over a month of income from doing business as a contractor. I want to warn anyone considering us this company, please find someone ethical. If Mike calls my father and makes restitution (return the drive lines, and pay for some of his loss of time) I will update this review. This should be criminal, but unfortunately it seems it is a civil matter. We are very reasonable people and my father was personally and financially hurt by this company. The stress from this situation has caused us all to lose sleep at night.

My labradoodle, Maizy Rae is my constant companion. She rides shotgun and gets nose prints on the windshield and side window. She sometimes drops treats under the seat and drools on the dashboard. Yesterday I finished the two day Total Approach Recovery Course. A fantastic course for any one…read moregoing off road. The first half of day one was on understanding theory of recovery options; the afternoon was advanced tire repair and then out in the field doing hands on stuck situations. Day two was all in the field understanding winch applications and applying them to our vehicles. It's one thing to read about or watch a video on winch recovery, but actually doing it yourself and seeing the winch in action is some much better for understanding and retention of the skills. I highly recommend this course!
