A very nice restaurant on Turlock's Main Street had outstanding food unlike any in this area as well as wonderful service.

When coming to a steakhouse, understand it is an experience, NOT a rushed, half-ass dinner. If you're looking for a lovely ambience, great waiters, amazing steak and drinks, come here. My future celebrations will surely be held here! Places like these do not pop up around the Central Valley & for years my husband and I wonder why. Looking at the yelp reviews, it is disheartening as they will whisper about the good and shout about the bad (or inconveniences, rather). Been here twice and both times food was not very good. The first time was for a work dinner so our party was a bit bigger. Waitress was nice but seemed really overwhelmed. They had pork chops or tomahawks... those were the only two options at a steakhouse. I ordered the salmon entree. It was DROWNED in oil. I mean seriously an insane amount of oil was used. The appetizers were good not great nor worth the price they were asking. The second time I was here was for Valentine's Day. The ambiance they portray online is far different than the one you experience. It's really loud, they were playing love songs but the kitchen staff were playing Suicide Boys and the combination of both genres and all the guests trying to yell over it is really a buzzkill. Once again our food came out DRENCHED in oil. It was pooling into my plate, really ruined the dish. I really wanted a steak but I really didn't have the confidence that they would be able to cook it the way I prefer because the kitchen seemed chaotic. I really want to like this place but the last two times I've been it just hasn't been what we've expected. The toasted almond is a majestic mixology creation! The best after dinner mixed drink! Food: The chicken lollipops will have Willy Wonka chanting more! The jalapeño burger was a top 5 of the burgers we have ever had! Cooked to perfection! The ribeye was medium rare to perfection! The flavor was great, the meat was tender and juicy! Yes, I said juicy!! I usually like to make my steaks at home but this place has brought me back out to eating steaks out because they cook them right! The garlic mashed potatoes were flavorful! Ambiance: masculine modern, what a steakhouse would be! Presentation: Steaks are à la cart and didn't come with a single garnish. The sides are "family style" and didn't have any unique sides. DONT EVER GO HERE!! We had made a birthday reservation for only 4 people and we barley got checked on and keep in mine this place was dead there wasn't anyone so we left like a 10 dollar tip & the manager called the number we had made a reservation with THREATING US that why didn't we leave a bigger amount of tip literally going off on us and we told him that the service was terrible and he straight up said we were never welcomed back again lol we weren't planning on it anyway don't waste your time and money here not even a real steakhouse food has no flavor read more

This place is the worst. We waited over 45 minutes to get drinks and be ask what our order was. After ordering 25 minutes and still no food we asked for bread or anything for that matter they were out of bread, butter, truffle..... damn near everything and actually said "tell us what you do have and we will pick from that list." Have tried to give this restaurant a chance --but my last visit will the last. Stoped in with my wife for drinks and desert . We tried to get dinner reservations , but no availability. Odd because lots of empty tables. We sat at the bar with a bartender right across from us. Never bothered to greet us . Best Ribeye probably ever. We came per recommendation and had the full experience. We started off with the charcuterie board which was AMAZING & and rich with flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye- I had a taste, the steak was moist and prepared perfectly. If you've never had black truffle butter it's not uncommon to confuse the flavor with salt; which appears to be a theme of negative reviews (and the associated unrefined palates). I had the garlic burger with avocado. It needed NOTHING. AGAIN- prepared perfectly. No condiments needed. We ended with dessert- bread pudding. It was served chilled and built beautifully on a foundation of custard (like creme brulee). Will we be back? YES! And, I will encourage others to take a drive to Turlock for a FANTASTIC dining experience. Our server, Kaylene deserves a shout-out. I really wanted to give this place five stars because of the hospitality of their staff. Specifically: Kailyn (I don't know how she spells her name) and Christian (manager). My husband and I came here with my in-laws because we were in town for a short vacation. The rustic atmosphere is great. The staff is amazing. But, I'm sad to say that there was nothing impressive about the quality of the food. Which then becomes disappointing when you're looking at the prices. We ordered the salmon with Brussel sprouts and Mac N Cheese. It was sad that the salmon was overcooked and lacked seasoning. The Brussel sprouts were amazing; until you get to some of them that was extremely oily. So, I hope that on most days they strain it properly to drain that oil. Otherwise, you were like me and just had a mouthful of oil. The Mac N Cheese tasted like it came from a box and I know that harsh, but the rotini wasn't even al dente. It probably needed a couple more minutes. The cheese felt powdery, which is why I compared it to a box Mac N Cheese. Now, unless that was the concept of the dish; I've never come across anything like it. It wasn't pleasant at all. The Tomahawk Steak we were excited. As you can see, it's a pretty big cut. Unfortunately, very disappointing. It took them an hour to bring it out because the first time they fired it; it was overdone. Our server, Kailyn, was nice enough to be honest about that. When it did come out you'll notice how charred the outside was. If you know anything about steaks, it's an indication that it stayed on the grill for far too long. Now that can be a good thing or a bad thing. In this case, it just gave the steak a burnt taste. Upon cutting it, they almost got the temperature right-medium rare-instead, most of it was still raw. If you prefer your steak this way, that's foine. But, that's not how a Tomahawk Steak is usually prepared. They didn't even trim out some of the fat and it wasn't rendered. So, you were basically eating this white subcutaneous fat, because most part of it was raw. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was alright. I say "alright," because the brownie in the middle was raw. Unless, they were trying to go for some sort of texture; it was raw in the middle. Honestly, the ice cream and caramel was the best part of it. Now, the night ended up not being a total lost because Kailyn came by a couple of times and asked how things were going. And I mean, giving them an honest critique in my opinion will help them grow and move forward. We found out they opened in July. So, we told them these deficits because personally; I wouldn't go back. I'm an LA girl and Turlock is my second home. I'm looking for a good steakhouse to splurge on. lol. It was nice for Christian, the manager, to come out and apologise for the experience. He then invited us to come back at a later time, so that they can improve and do better. Which is a nice gesture. He was very attentive to the criticism and with that; I think with that alone we'll come back and give them a second chance. read more

The waiter was so nice but seriously the food was awful. The appetizer was so bitter I don't know if it was the tomatoes or what but my boyfriend and I both spit out the bruschetta. I ordered the 8 oz medium-well it came back red in the center (I understand it's a thicker cut but wasn't expecting red red in the center). My boyfriend ordered the 14 oz and it came back closer to medium well than what he ordered which was medium. His steak was smothered in the cold butter bone marrow and he said it tasted like butter with fat bits in it. The waiter offered us dessert and it was PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE. IT'S JANUARY and I could've sworn it tasted identical to the Costco one. The bread was the best part and not the paid for bread but the complimentary bread!!!! Came here after trying another steakhouse in Merced. Heard good things and would have to agree the food was amazing and so was the service. My date ordered a New York steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes. She ordered the steak med well and it came out cooked perfectly first shot. She also ordered a drink that was also amazing although I don't remember what it was. I ordered the rib eye with Brussel sprouts and rosemary French fries. Steak med rare and this too was cooked to perfection. Appetizer was the blooming onion (I think that's what it was called) and it too was great. Service was a 10. Our waiter was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations along with a good explanation of the chefs 3 styles of cooking the steaks. Would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Meet here with a couple of friends for my fiance's birthday dinner. Made a reservation for a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised with how easy parking was. Found a spot just a couple doors down. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and seated at our table. Restaurant is slightly dimmed and added a nice touch. We were a larger party but were able to get our order in quickly. Drinks took a little longer to come out but food made up for it. Sides were definitely served as a family style dish. Don't know why this place isn't rated higher. I came in on the recommendation of a coworker and had a great meal. Got seated quickly and ordered the bacon-wrapped sirloin with bone marrow butter. The steak was so tender I might have believed you if you told me it was filet, not sirloin, but the bacon was still nice and crisp. We arrived at 7:45 pm Friday no one was at the front, waited 2 minutes and promptly seated. The ambiance was nice, modern, and not crowded. I order the ribeye medium, pork belly Mac & Cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes. Husband orders the filet mignon medium, and French fries hold the Rosemary. Bread baguette was brought over served with olive oil and sea salt on the bread. Butter provided with balsamic vinegar mixed in. Interesting, not my fave. Filet mignon arrives cooked well done and overly salty. My rib eye was cooked correctly medium, but the outer crust was salty. Too much sea salt again! Waitress comes back to check in and offers to bring another filet mignon cooked medium pink not well done. My husband declined at first. I offered him my rib eye, which he said was much better than his. I told the waitress to go ahead and make another filet this time medium rare & we'll take it to go. Not sure why but it felt the seating was a little uncomfortable, may be the booth was in a curved shape. Pork chops were well seasoned and delicious. The chicken sandwich was way too sweet for my husband. They did offer us complimentary birthday dessert but it was awkward for them to ask if we want to eat there or take our dessert home. My daughter's Alfredo chicken was a little bland. The charcuterie board was ok for our taste but may be that's the standard. The only downside of this place is it feels too nice for little old Turlock. The ribeye here rivals or is better than the best steak houses in the Bay Area. I ordered it rare and it came perfectly rare. My wife got the filet and said it was the best steak she's ever had. The sides were all exceptional, the appetizers were great, and they even have a kids menu - a rarity at a place this nice. Our service was great, and we had a great time. Left unimpressed but I do eat well and have eaten at real restaurants so maybe my standards are too high....NOT! Those places didn't charge $155 for a tomahawk with no taste! I'm going to Emanuel Med Center so my insurance can pay $16K to tell me my cholesterol levels aren't healthy. I'm very upset that this alleged upscale restaurant is, well, promoting itself as upscale. It's just not. It's a step above Red Robin with nicer paint. I will say this, Cheyenne and the bartender group, ABSOLUTELY worth every dime, I'd go back for drinks. I don't even really blame our server, she was great and covering every table on earth. Heck, she was probably covering tables at Memo's! We hardly finished our food and again, I don't fully blame her, no support from their manager. I have three letters for our experience here.... OMG! This steakhouse is incredible. We went here for dinner with friends over the weekend and we were so impressed. Where do I start? First of all, the staff was very attentive. They brought us out a delicious charcuterie board to enjoy while we waited for our meal. I had the filet mignon which absolutely melted in my mouth. It was so tender I barely needed my knife. I had the broccolini and Mac and cheese as my sides and both were delicious. I finished everything! My husband had the tomahawk steak which was gigantic! I've never in my life seen anything like it. I knew there was no way he would be able to finish it...he gave it his best shot but in the end...he had to fold. It was just soooo much steak!
