Custom mist came out and did a fantastic Job!! Great service.. and prices. Highly recommend

I am extremely disappointed with Custom Mist's lack of professionalism and customer service. After scheduling a Winterization Service for my foggers for Tuesday, November 19, 2024, between 8 AM and 11 AM for $175, the technician failed to arrive during the scheduled window. At 11:36 AM, I contacted their office to find out why. I was told they needed to contact the technician. Twenty minutes later, I was informed he was still at a previous appointment and would be arriving shortly. This was unacceptable as I had rearranged my schedule to accommodate them, avoiding clients that morning. Since I had commitments later in the day, I requested to reschedule and expressed my expectation of a discount for the inconvenience. They assured me they would speak with management and get back to me. Three days later, on Friday, November 22, at 10 AM, I still had not received a follow-up. When I called, I was told the manager was "in the field" and would contact me later. At 6 PM, I received a text saying the manager would reach out the following day. Finally, on Saturday at noon, I received a call from "John," who was defensive, unapologetic, and dismissive of my concerns. He offered no discount or apology for the inconvenience and simply insisted I reschedule. To add insult to injury, the service fee had inexplicably increased to $195, $20 more than my original quote. Reluctantly, I agreed to reschedule, and John assured me the office would call on Monday morning. By Monday, November 25, at 10 AM, I had still not heard back from Custom Mist. Frustrated, I called Koolfog, who offered to service my system for $115 and could send someone out that same day. Their technician called at 11:25 AM, arrived 10 minutes later, completed the job promptly, and sent me the invoice within 15 minutes of departure. It is now 12:30 PM on Monday, and I have yet to hear from Custom Mist. It is clear they do not value their customers, even after purchasing a $5,000 system. The lack of communication, accountability, and respect for my time is unacceptable. Kudos to Koolfog for stepping in and delivering exemplary service. Shame on Custom Mist for their complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend their services. read more

Schedule an appointment to reinstall mister line after an awning was installed. I advised them prior that no one would be there. When they arrived they would not work on my system. After a week with promised call back, I just gave up. The install was arranged around there schedule. Don't trust them, they just kept stringing me along that they were going to show up. read more

I'm furious with this company because they NO longer service if you aren't home, which is not a common practice. My landscapers, pest control, window cleaner, pool guy, electrician, housekeeper ALL provide service without me being present. So I set my appointment way in advance and one week prior to appointment, they sent me a text giving me 24 hours to confirm appointment, which was 5 days out and because I didn't respond in 24 hours, they cancelled my appointment which wasn't for another five days. If they are THAT worried about being stood up by customers, they should ask for a credit card payment in advance! I would have gladly given them payment but don't cancel on me 5 days prior because I didn't respond in 24 hours to your reminder text. I don't know who now owns this company but I liked the old company better. To be honest in 40 years I've never had this happen where 1 week prior to your appointment, a company cancel's. Then the owner accuses me of threatening him when all he needed to do was offer A SOLUTION. Instead he was aggressive and a horrible response. Then he proceeds to go back in time to tell me they had to came back twice one time a few years ago...my husband remembers this episode which was Custom Mist didn't do a good job, so we had to have them come back. Also while the owner was on the phone with me, I could hear this woman in the background, yelling...so unprofessional. I've dealt with this company for 10 years and I'm done. read more

Great company. Amazing from start to finish Josh was very helpful and answered all my questions. Megan and Lindsay were very helpful in rescheduling our install twice since our pool was delayed over 6 weeks. Misters in patio look great and misters in pool are awesome! Highly recommended this company!! You won't be disappointed! read more

The customer service and service received at our residence was amazing. I called several other companies but just wasn't feeling the vibe. (So many businesses, these days act like they're doing you a favor.) Custom Mist was quite different. They immediately called me back with an estimate and once the technician arrived on site he was quick, methodical and clean. (He didn't leave a mess). When he noticed I provided the wrong measurement for the leaky pressure line he quickly informed me. Due to my error he quickly provided me an updated estimate and fixed our broken pressure line to our misters. I would highly recommend Cool Mist to solve your misting issues. I'm sorry I can't remember the techs name he deserves the recognition!! read more

Custom Mist is AWESOME. They are professional, friendly, flexible, on time, and on spec. No surprises. Custom Mist installed my home system in an hour and a half. When I decided on a change the day after the install, they came back and made the change - with a smile and a, "No problem!" and at no charge. With their capable and friendly office manager, Megan, on the phones, and Josh (and company) as their experienced installers, you are in great hands from the get-go. I heartily and confidently recommend Custom Mist in Indio. Steve Zehm Hugely satisfied customer May 2021 read more

Custom Mist is an amazing company. Josh and his crew exceeded our expectations when installing our misting system. We built a semi-custom home and Josh arrived while our home was in framing. He pre-installed our mister before the stucco crew arrived and the look of our brass mister heads is very custom looking and professionally done! We simply love what custom mist provided! We Enjoyed working with Josh and his company and I highly recommend them for all your misting needs. Great service. Had all necessary parts to do a thorough maintenance. Our misting system is now working and ready for summer.

We just had Josh and his team install the misters in our backyard. They did an excellent job. Josh (the owner) came to give us an estimate. He was professional and very knowledgeable. My husband questioned the spacing of the misters but I'm glad we listen to the professionals and followed Josh's advice. The coolness and the difference these misters make is amazing since the back of our home gets afternoon sun! I highly recommend this company. read more

I had Josh out yesterday to do a repair on a broken mister line. After a quick fix he explained how he could make some improvements to my system. He serviced the system and changed they way I controlled it by adding a relay to my Aqualink (Pool Controller). It's a way better setup then I had. Very reasonable and were there the day after I called. read more

Josh and Brandon were absolutely fantastic. In less than 24 hours he brought me a brand new machine and installed it at 6:30 in the morning because it was an urgent issue. Their work is outstanding, they are very kind, and have fantastic prices. I would recommend everybody to try Josh and Brandon first before calling anywhere else. I will say all the other companies I called gave Josh and Brandon fantastic reviews as we were looking for a refurbished machine. Josh gave us such an outstanding price we decided to go with a brand new one. Thank you guys for all your hard work today absolutely a fantastic job! read more

Josh and all the staff at Custom Mist are very professional, great communicators and answered all questions thoroughly. They installed our back patio misting system after we saw the great work completed at neighbors. Josh made the install process super easy and reviewed all the equipment with us patiently. Josh put our system in last year. It is fabulous. The misters lower the temperature by what feels like 20 degrees when sitting there! Josh's service was terrific and very competitive with 2 other local companies. He gave us several options for covering very large areas as well as a doggie yard. We'd definitely use Custom Mist again. read more

We had a backyard patio misting system installed by Josh and his team today. They did a very nice professional installation. I chose them because their estimate was considerably lower than others I had received and the straightforward explanation provided by Josh as to what the system would include as well as the warranty they offer. The system works great and makes it pleasant to sit outside when it's 100+ degrees. If you are considering a misting system, do yourself a favor and contact Josh at Custom Mist Systems. read more
