In the middle of executing my plan for a DYI project, I figured out that Home Depot and Lowes does not cut sheet metal for their customers. Yet, I still needed to acquire 2 13x25 inch panels of sheet metal. So, I let Yelp.com point me in the right direction to a business. On my second call, I found Karl at Duct Gauge Heating. He asked me about my aims for the project and I shared that I was hoping that the project wouldn't be too expensive. He was so helpful and knew the exact type of metal that would be magnetic. He offered to cut them from scraps within his shop and, realizing that I needed to pick up the pieces on Saturday, he shared he would leave them just outside his door for me. As planned on Saturday, I found them just outside that door. He delivered two perfectly sized pieces, and when I returned home, I discovered that the pieces fit the frames beautifully. He knows exactly how to "Measure twice & Cut once!" and he was more than fair about the cost to both his business and his customer! These are the makings of a good local business. My thanks to Karl and crew!

Unfortunately the damper motor had gone bad and one had to be ordered. Chris found one in inventory and secured it just in time. He came over the next day, prompt and courteous as always, replaced the part, cleaned and completed the repair in no time. This is our third dealing with Ductgauge and they have gone above and beyond each time. Highly recommended and the only heating and cooling company I will deal with. Thanks for making it happen.

I could understand not calculating tax, however not disclosing their service fee or weekend charge until payment, isn't standard anywhere.

I recently hired Air Quality Inspection & Improvement (AQII) to handle HVAC servicing and a mold…read moreremediation issue in my home, and I'm very pleased with the results. From the initial inspection to the final walkthrough, the technicians were thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. They started with a complete assessment of my HVAC system and quickly identified areas where airflow was restricted, and moisture was contributing to mold growth. Their explanations were clear and easy to understand, and they walked me through every step before starting the work. The remediation process was handled with care -- they sealed off the affected areas, cleaned and treated the ductwork, removed contaminated materials, and addressed the moisture source so the issue wouldn't return. They also upgraded my filters and showed me how to maintain better indoor air quality moving forward. Throughout the job, they arrived on time, respected my home, and kept communication open. The air inside my home feels noticeably cleaner, the musty odor is gone, and the HVAC system is running more efficiently than it has in years. Overall, I'm very satisfied with both the quality and professionalism of their work. I would absolutely recommend AQII to anyone looking for reliable HVAC services or mold remediation.

During the job, we discussed that we were also converting to gas and were looking for a tech to complete it. Once again, the tech, Brent, advised that they also perform such tasks. He assessed the distance and the destination inside the house for the gas appliance and agreed on a price for the work in the near future. We called him back shortly thereafter to begin the process. He always provided the receipts for the parts purchased, which was helpful when there was a necessary price increase, still within budget. We could follow the trail of receipts! Brent completed the pipes and advised that we get the city inspectors and gas co to finalize the connection. He was able to pressure test and also installed the new gas stove. Will recommend and will use in the future. Plus, he's very personable and offers practical suggestions during the planning process!

This review is regarding a urgent job that Luis and team performed on the 4th of July…read more Long story short, the night of the 3rd, when replacing a lighting fixture, our main circuit breaker switch blew, and our entire house was without power (AC included). Luis picked up his phone ASAP around midnight and said he'd contact me and come by in the morning. He came in the morning once he found the new breaker he thought i needed. (Supply houses were closed given the holiday. Given the age of our panel, Luis recommended we switch out the panel so it could properly hold the new main switch and organized wires, as they no longer make the main switch that we had which broke. Luis left and came back with another member of his team about an hour later. As our electric panel is in the basement, they worked downstairs, even when we were not at the house. They worked for about 7 hours straight and restored our power. He even helped out by confirming the light fixture was installed properly. All of this was done with a really fair price, especially considering this was on July 4th. We've had no issues since the job was done, and are grateful for the job that was done.
