It's a shame that this review will only be one in a group of many, because our appreciation and gratitude for Jack and Mike and the service they provide should be weighted much, much more. My family endured a 2yr long legal battle with my HOA over water intrusion and mold in our flooring. Jack and Mike couldn't have been more patient and understanding through the entirety, going above and beyond with legal delays and twists and turns to make us at least feel secure and comfortable with what their products would eventually deliver. They had no business interest in dealing with our legal mess, but being the kind people they are, always extended nothing but patience and kindness. There could be no better company for your flooring and window treatment needs. Jack, Mike and everyone at Custom Blind & Carpet will be there for you for every possible hurdle. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!

So many options for blinds!

Just had my blinds installed and they look AMAZING. Robert came and was done so fast and it makes such a change in the house. Thank you for a great experience from start to finish.

Mike and Jack came to my home on time, and delivered and installed beautiful blinds AGAIN. Last time was 7 years ago before I was YELPing. :) Once before that in my previous home. Great value, and service. They wore masks, took off their shoes, and installed from box to my window in 15 minutes. I've attached some pictures. I would not call anyone else, I've been using their services for 15 years! You should too.

Working with Mike and Jack has been such a smooth process from the beginning. I reached out to Mike to schedule an in-home measurement and he was super responsive and came on a day that worked for me, and also patiently walked me through my different options for blinds at their store/gallery. I was looking for something affordable that still looked great, and narrowed it down to faux wood blinds for the windows and vertical blinds for my sliding glass door. I was super skeptical at first about the vertical blinds from past (bad) experiences, but I am so happy with how they turned out. My house looks amazing and I'm even having them come back out to install three additional window coverings. The price was much more affordable than I was initially expecting, especially for Hunter Douglas, and our install guy Andy was so friendly and helpful. One aspect I really liked is that they don't try to sell you or pressure you to get a higher cost product; they simply are there to help make your home look as nice as possible, which I appreciated immensely. I highly, highly recommend you give them a call if you are looking for a great product!

Blinds fell and we asked for someone to reinstall. They gave us the run around. So now we're calling someone else to fix it.

Of the companies I contacted, he had great pricing and was very transparent and upfront about costs and potential factors that might affect the price such as condition of subfloor, etc. He gave me a range and wound up charging me on the lower end, which was appreciated. I had him put in Garrison engineered wood flooring in two bedrooms to try to match my existing wood floors in common areas along with a baseshoe to cover the gap between the floor and baseboard. He was able to keep the floor flush in one bedroom, and added a transition for the second because the subfloor had poured concrete and was higher than the landing. He and his guys were on time and did a fantastic job with install and I absolutely love how it turned out! Paul is very proud and passionate about his work and craftsmanship and it shows.

I truly appreciated how he and his team went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Our project was a bit challenging and unique because we only wanted to spot treat areas of hardwood flooring that had been scratched and stained by a former renter. Paul handled it thoughtfully and professionally from start to finish. His 5-star Yelp reviews initially prompted me to request a quote, but it was his outstanding customer service, responsiveness, communication skills, and thoroughness that ultimately earned him the job. His team does exceptional quality work, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. I highly recommend Paul and his team for any flooring project!

Even if you've seen the materials that discount hardwood carries at retailers, talk to Brie if you're unsure about the product. She really understands it inside and out. If something is out of stock she will help you find something else and actually problem solve. Go to Discount Hardwood to WORK WITH BRIE (and for the product) :) !

They sell engineered wood flooring without proper protective coating, which is why the price looks low -- but you end up paying much more later. As soon as a little water touched the floors, it penetrated straight into the wood and changed the color. We were shocked. We had just spent a lot of money on new flooring, and instead we ended up with damaged wood within days. Because of these issues, we couldn't even move into our home. We had to stay in an Airbnb while dealing with the problem. We spent over $4,000 on temporary housing because of the extremely poor-quality material they sold us. Discount Floor sells cheap, low-quality engineered wood with almost no protective coverage. We will never buy from them again, and I strongly do not recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the headache. Go somewhere else.

Robert explained which weaves were most durable, what was most resistant to stains, etc. Since I lived nearby he allowed me to take samples to my home so I could compare it to existing carpet. When I brought them back, Robert had printed a quote; within minutes I had put down a deposit. Since the carpet came from Georgia there was about a ten-day wait. The installers showed up on time and ready to work; after moving some heavy furniture (including a piano), six hours later they had finished, cleaned up, and moved all furniture back in place. They probably could have done it faster in a rectangular room (my living room has all kinds of crazy angles to which they had to cut), but in the end the carpet fit every corner like a glove, with no visible seams.

The bamboo was suffocated and it buckled and got moldy underneath and started to push my LVP floor up. At first sign of trouble I decided to find the highest rated wood floor company in Burbank for help. Robert came and instantly knew what was going on without even demoing the floor. He kindly provided reference material for me to present to my contractor to prove he was at fault. He answered questions here and there while I fought my contractor to take responsibility and fix the issue and after a quick-fix failed, it was a no brainer to me to use Robert and his team to start again and get the job done right. His crew included Jason who worked like a craftsman to surgically remove the two layers of old flooring from around the footprint of my kitchen cabinets and entire ground floor area. The challenge was to retain the clean look of our new kitchen, avoiding trim to hide gaps, even though we were removing almost an inch of flooring and replacing it with 5/8' hardwood. We opted for a moisture barrier, an additional cork layer to try to retain the same height and then a beautiful, rustic looking engineered hardwood floor. I can't tell you how happy I am with the quality of the work. Eduardo expertly cut the flooring and brought up the level of the flooring around the cabinets to exactly the same height. The transition is seamless! If you are weighing up who to use for your flooring, pick these guys, they get the job done right. We are really happy with the appearance of the floor and the final product.

Earlier thebsame dayI'd gone to Ganahl's lumber in Pasadena since it was closer to me. At Ganahl's I was treated with little care by a guy behind a desk who had no trim suggestions except either fiber cement board or redwood. HOWEVER, at Imperial Annie immediately suggested Bodyguard's 5.5" trim made for exterior applications. (I like the Bodyguard trim because it had eased edges that looked more finished than straight lumber edges). Annie explained how the pine product is double primed, etc. She called her supplier right away to see if they d it in stock which they did. She also showed me samples she's ordered for another client so I could see the quality of the product. In other words she took the time to care about what I was looking for. At Ganahl's they really didn't care about what I actually needed. My husband might prefer the redwood option(because it's a more "noble" wood than pine,) but I definitely prefer the great service at Imperial which is where I'd go for any future hardwood and moulding needs.
