Came here for breakfast one morning with a friend, and it was overall really good. The owner was super kind and very helpful explaining the menu and giving recommendations. The juices were amazing, the appetizers were chose were decent. I really love blood sausage but we ordered the one with the cheese and it honestly wasn't my favorite. The empanadas were delicious though. And the soup I got was absolutely amazing full of flavor. The coffee was also very tasty.

Mi Burrito

Went to Curuba for breakfast and had the Curuba's Breakfast and a friend had the Mi Burrito. Sofia was our server and did a good job explaining some things on the menu. My eggs were overcooked but I really enjoyed the Arepa Boyacense. My friend's burrito was huge and he enjoyed it. Coffee and OJ were good (free with a Val Pak coupon). Will have to have to check them out at lunch.

Casava + corn bred

Ajiaco, casava butter + corn bread , plantain, beans, homemade sausage, chimichuri sauce on plamcha chicken, to top it all with a freshly brewed colombian coffee, this is a authentic paisa comfort food place. In the most unusual part of Dallas but food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Its a cozy little joint, family owned joint with personalized and warm service. You wont go wrong with this long drive up north dallas to get down south american food.

Mi Burrito with Brisket

This is a hidden gem. I rarely give 5 stars, but the service and food were excellent. They take the traditions of Columbian cuisine and make it relatable to the average consumer. They do this without losing the flavor. I highly recommend the breakfast. It is a nice and intimate setting to take your family or just your wife.

Curuba is a local Columbian place, with excellent food, decor, and service. I got the chance to try it when my people were hungry, but didn't want to leave home so I volunteered to go pick up some take out from them. My son got the "Messy Hot Dog" - unfortunately the picture does not convey the size of this thing - it is huge. I only got 1 bite, but it was outstanding. My son could only ate half and saved the other half for his dinner tomorrow. He also got the very generous side of fruit and a Mango with water - he was very happy. I got the Red Beans Stew "Cazuela" - absolutely fantastic! I mixed everything together and lived the good life. I would have been happy with the the red bean stew, but combined with the rice, pork belly and the guacamole potato sticks, it absolutely rocked. We got the Mini Arepas plain for my granddaughter, which she devoured (I did manage to get 1 bite and they were great) - although I think we will get it with brisket next time. I feel quite fortunate to have such a high quality place so close - you should treat yourself by visiting them. I should also add that the owners were very kind and friendly people. - Just came back - now with wine and beer!

Brunch Desgranado

Brunch was fantastic. Food was amazing and service top notch. Started with empanadas one of each and one was better than the next I had Brunch Desgranado and it was a symphony of flavors just perfect My son had Bandeja Paisa and it was so good! Highly recommend

Kids meal - Homemade Mac & cheese with a side of fruit

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was super happy with everything served. Literally everything was homemade, fresh and delicious! I'm not familiar with Colombian cuisine but there's plenty on the menu even for the non adventurous. I can't wait to come back and try more, but I can immediately see how good this place is and why the reviews have been stellar. Everything is homemade and the (owner I assume?) server was happy to tell me what everything was. Even the croutons in my salad were freshly made. My Caesar salad was perfect. A mix of kale and lettuce, homemade cheese/corn croutons, homemade dressing, and the chicken I added was cooked perfectly. I couldn't possibly ask for more, even though it's a simple dish. One of the best salads I've had in the area. The guacamole appetizer was also great. Served with hot and crispy arepas and some sort of tasty hot sauce if you want spicy. My kid enjoyed his Mac n cheese and a large side of fresh fruit. Perfect for a kids meal. I was curious about what a few things were so I chatted with the owner a little who explained that they don't use seed oils (except for the fryer I think), no gmos, and try to use only healthy ingredients. While I don't generally worry about that stuff, this probably is appealing to some and it's nice to know the ingredients are higher quality than you usually get. It sounds like his wife is back there cooking everything from scratch and from what we tried, she is doing an amazing job! It's a small restaurant with only a few tables in an unassuming strip mall (by the closed Sonic) but it was cute inside and they've done a nice job with the small space. I intend to make this a regular spot since there are healthy options, freshly made kids meal options, and everything I've tried so far has been great. Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5

Front entrance newly opened and way nicer inside that I expected!

Tried the bandeja paisa and it was a great portion of deliciously prepared meats! My favorite was the chorizo, followed by the chicharron followed by the steak. Everything was very well prepared and the service is exceptional. I must have had four people ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything. I did ask for hot sauce and an extra side of their aoli. It was all very very good possibly the best Colombian food I've had!

My stomach growls, begging to be pleased…read more I went to meet my brother and sister-in-law for breakfast, and they recommended Sunview Cafe. Located in a never-ending strip mall in Allen, we walked in and got our name on the list. It was 11:30 am, so the early church crowd was coming in alongside us. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up only being about 10. Inside, Sunview is loaded with Texas décor all over the walls. It feels pretty small, but they definitely take advantage of every corner of the space for seating with their booths and tables. The prices are pretty fair for a brunch spot. One thing that definitely caught me off guard was how many things were on their double-sided menu. It felt like a legal document with how extensive it was. It is definitely overwhelming, but I locked in and ordered a Meat Lover's Omelet. It's filled with bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese. For my sides, I got hash browns and two pancakes, which is a steal for a $14 omelet. It wasn't long before the food came out, and I crushed the omelet. It needed some salt and pepper personally, but it was pretty good and hearty, especially with the pancakes as a side. The impression from my brother and sister-in-law was that they wanted to come back here often, and I'll probably find myself returning next time I'm in Dallas. RIYL: More meal options than seats at a restaurant.

"For Dad": For the name, the portion size felt a little small and the dish itself is pretty simple. You can choose between bacon or sausage, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. One of my sausages was slightly undercooked, but overall the dish was good.

We happened to meet the friendly owner, John, while walking by one afternoon and mentioned we were from out of town looking for a place to host our event. He told us they rent out the restaurant in the evenings. Many of our guests were staying at the nearby Denizen Hotel, which made the location incredibly convenient. I have to say John Zhang and the entire team went above and beyond to make our event special, fun and stress-free. The food was absolutely excellent. I'll admit, I was a little unsure at first since it's known as a breakfast restaurant, but the quality and quantity exceeded all expectations -- kudos to the chef! The drinks were great, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was so fun and welcoming. As an added bonus, there happened to be an outdoor concert that evening, so many of our guests enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to live music. It made the night even more memorable. Thank you, John and the entire Broken Yolk team, for helping make our daughter's wedding weekend so special. We truly appreciate everything you did to make the Welcome Party such a success!

It's super slow.. there are lots of brunch places around so competition is fierce. Waited 10+ mins to take the order and then they didn't check if we had silverware or enough waters. Food took a while to arrive as well. Had to get creamer and fork ourselves. Hope this helps them work on the service issues. Would love for them to improve and stay around. Hopefully it's because they are still fairly.

In Eunice G's review, she called this place a "Hidden gem in Allen!". I completely agree, and would…read moresuggest that you could also call it a gemstone mine, because it is chock full of gems. We were looking for a good taqueria in Allen and found it here. This is a cozy place with about 10+ tables, playing Mexican music videos, etc. (but not loud enough to interfere with conversation). To try things out, we ordered their grilled cebolla/jalapeño combo, and 4 tacos -pastor, chorizo, barbacoa, & lengua (see photos). These are Mexican Street taco style with 2 corn tortillas. I tried the pastor, chorizo & barbacoa - they were all excellent! Served with onion, cilantro, lime slices and radish slices. Very high quality! I would be happy to eat any of them again, but would probably quadruple down on the pastor because it was just great (and I am a pastor fan - I am still in search of the El Tizoncito style al pastor tacos that you can find in DF, but until I do, these will keep me happy). While I can eat lengua (if I can't find pastor), but my wife is a connoisseur and she liked them (and messaged a friend about them). The Cebolla asados with jalapeños were amazing and an incredible value at ~ $2. We had no chance to try La Sirena (paleteria y fruteria), but it looked very promising. We will be back to try their breakfast offerings. We feel quite fortunate to have found this place.
