We made an online order through Uber eats, only got half of the order, and had to wait over an hour for the rest of the food. We called after we realized it was wrong, they said they would talk to the manager and take care of it. 1/2 an hour later we still hadn't heard anything so we called again. And then 1/2 and hour after that finally got the food, with an insincere apology and a business card asking us to come back. Food was okay, not great. Way over priced for what it is. read more

Placed an over the phone order on a Tuesday right before the end my daughters gymnastics class. Person who answered took my call but at the completion said it would take 30 minutes. Class was wrapping up so I didn't have anymore than 15 minutes. I told her never mind and to cancel the order. Knowing I'll have a chance to order the next day. Fast forward to the next day Wednesday another day at gymnastics. This time I decided to order sooner. Lady who answers takes my order but then a guy comes on the phone (the owner). He tells me he's not accepting any orders from me anymore because I didn't pick up the day before and he attempted to call me up until 9pm that evening. I explained I got no calls and it's very disturbing for him to talk to a potential new customer in that manner. I then proceeded to walk next door because I had read such great reviews and was disappointed. He said the person who answers the phone had been working with him for years and doesn't make mistakes and didn't forget to cancel the order. However, when I asked him to verify my phone # the one he repeated was indeed incorrect. I then say, so it's clear that she could've made a mistake and neglected to cancel because no one is perfect, right? We went back and forth and proceeded with saying he wasted his time and money. I told him it was fine but addressing me in the way he did was unfair to me as a new potential customer. He later was like fine, fine, he'll take my order. The food was pretty good but overall the managers managerial style when handling issues is piss poor. This rating is specific regarding customer satisfaction and not the food itself. I would've rated it about a 3. read more

This is the kind of company I love paying my hard earned money to. I ordered delivery to my hotel near the airport. The food is awesome, but beyond that, the customer service was literally the best customer service I've ever experienced from a delivery. Ever. Kudos to y'all on making my night with great food and a great experience! I'll put you on my list. read more

Absolutely delicious food! Very friendly and welcoming. My mom and Had a great sampler that is on their lunch menu that we got to try 3 different things. Everything was wonderful. We loved everything. The naan bread is also fantastic! Can't wait to come back!! read more

Tried for the first time today for lunch. Sampled the Samosas, Garlic Naan, so good ! The lemonade w/mint was spot on. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely be back ! read more

If I could give NO stars I would. First my party of three waited for an hour for food to be brought to our table. We ordered appetizers and they came out after our main entrees. Second the food lack any sort of flavor. The kebab's were dry and tasteless and you are nickeled and dimed for everything. The food is in NO way worth the price. I would stay far away. read more

We stopped in tonight for the first time. It has a hole in the wall atmosphere, nothing fancy, but the food was outstanding. The owner was on the dining floor and very accessible. He made some recommendations for appetizers. Our entrees were delicious and hearty. They have a limited beer and wine selection and the non-alcoholic drink selection goes way beyond soft drinks with authentic Indian style treats. I can't wait to go back! read more

Short staffed the day we came but service was still quick and friendly. The fresh made lemonade is refreshing. The food we ordered was very good. read more

My hubby and I were very excited to finally see an Indian restaurant pop up closer to home than Houston. We went a few weeks ago for dinner with his cousin. My first experience with Indian food was in London and it set the standard. Way high. We ordered the Paalak Chaat to start. When it hit the table, my palate started doing a happy dance. Amazing flavors! Then we ordered an assortment of dishes to share and were not disappointed. Chef Russell was very friendly and attentive and clearly takes great pride in the food he presents and making sure you're satisfied with it. I'm glad that he urges everyone to leave a review of their experience because getting the word out means he'll stay in business and we can continue to be repeat customers. I hope that with his success however, the ambience of the restaurant will improve to match the flavor. The lighting makes you feel like you're in an office and the tables at a deli shop. I can't wait for more esthetically pleasing seating arrangements and lighting to make it not only a great dinner spot, but also a great date spot. read more

Today was our first time eating here with my husband and sister. The food was really good. The bread with garlic was the best and everything felt fresh!!! I also loves the place, it felt cozy. The owner and chef, Russell, is really nice and friendly! I really recommend Curry Sultan. read more

I don't eat Indian food very much but I came here for lunch with my mom today to try something different. We both loved it! The man who served us was very helpful when we were deciding what to get. Here's the best part! They deliver!! We'll definitely be eating here more often read more

Portions are small in comparison to other local companies. Mint Chutney is like water. This is by far the worst halal food I've ever ordered. I wasted $30 for very little food. When the delivery guy gave me the food I was like wait... where's the rest? read more

Great option for Indian food in Humble/Atascocita. The service is personal and appreciative. I really liked the variety of Indian food (mostly Punjabi). The food was fresh and delicious. The flavors were totally on point and the level of heat was just as we requested. My only suggestion is that they learn to make the lamb more tender in the cooking process. read more

best chicken tikka masala I've ever had! Super spicy and delicious, the mild is also very good.

Where to start. Okay, the food was great. No complaints there. The service was very polite. However, the service was incredibly slow and mistake ridden. The restaurant wasn't full and it took about an hour to get our food from the time we ordered. Our waitress seemed new, but only brought half of everything. There was two of us, but only ever brought one water, one beer, one place setting, one Naan. Very strange. The staff kept apologizing for the time and the screw ups, but no type of reimbursement or incentive was given to come back. Just a business card that wasn't asked for. Also, we learned the delivery drivers name at our dinner because the owner wouldn't stop yelling for him to do things. I think I heard Jason's name about 5-7 times during our meal. Overall, food was excellent, but the staff (including the owner) needs training on customer service. I would give this place one more try on account of the food. read more

A welcome addition to local cuisine! Visited today for the first time with family and child. Not only was the service spectacular, the food was amazing. We ordered samosas to start followed by chicken biryani and the beef kofta. The samosas and kofta were great - my two year old threw down on them - but my favorite dish was the biryani, hands down. The aromas coming off that plate were amazing. We can't wait to be back! My only regret is not ordering a mango lassi for 2yo. It would have blown his mind. Next time! read more

Took a little longer than promised, but definitely worth the wait. The delivery man was very apologetic about being 10 minutes past the estimated time. Will be ordering from them again! read more

This place offers awesome vegan options and servers know about them too! They will suggest dishes which I love when I go somewhere it shows that they actually know their product. The only thing I would probably suggest is to maybe try to find substitutes for some ingredients to make their vegan options more broad! Like coconut milk instead of regular milk or dairy. Try making vegan dishes more tasty I'm not saying they were not but can be more flavorful! Chicken butter can be substitute by cauliflower and so much more! Be creative and I assure you more people will go since there is not many vegan options around here besides boring salads but I enjoyed it overall. The watermelon drink was LEGIT!!! specially for a hot summer day! Very clean and nice environment. Welcoming and politely! Definitely will go back! Just will be nice to have someone sit you down somewhere felt kinda lost when walked in. read more

The aloo mutter and chicken curry are really good. Definitely a place to stop by in case you stay in an around humble and kingwood.

The owner is very nice. He always comes by to check how your meal is and how the service is. The food is great. The restraint is always very clean, and their delivery range goes all the way into Kingwood. Overall wonderful experience. read more

We've been waiting for The Ramaswamy's restaurant to open for ages! Russell and Marianna are wonderful people who work extremely hard and clearly love feeding people. So worth the wait---the food exceeded our already high expectations! With the doors only opened a week, they are working to determine the palate of suburban North Houston as they refine their Specials offerings. Don't let the strip center location deter you---or the stark overhead lights. This is fresh, authentic food prepared with enthusiasm, experience and meticulous care. Our two daughters (10 & 13) ordered Butter Chicken and Beef Kofta (Indian meatballs) and my husband and I shared Chicken Biryani. The sauces for the Kofta and Butter chicken were thick, creamy and full of flavor. Mild as ordered but still with a soft bite of heat. Chicken was cooked through, not at all dry, and cut into bite size, perfect for the kids. Meatballs were handmade and flavorful with ample extra sauce for scooping up with their addictive Naan. The Raita yogurt sauce we ordered as a side had bits of julienned cucumber and carrot. It was fresh and dense, not runny from overwatering as is common with many Indian restaurants. There is a specially- trained Naan baker who makes the breads here and the Garlic Naan and Aloo Paratha were among the best we've ever had anywhere. We'd go back for those alone and, next time, we'll order more! Our girls devoured the Naan as well as their traditional desserts of rice pudding and Indian doughnuts. We were so happy to see several families with children dining around us, enjoying quality Indian food without a chicken nugget or macaroni bowl in sight. Real, non-chain, international food is finding an appreciative audience in the 'burbs!! read more

It was my first time eating Indian but let me tell ya that was some really good food love the flavor and spice. The owner was super duper nice and if you ask he will show you the kitchen and how they make some of the dishes. Very very nice guy has his story to tell you has a passion for for his flavors he wants to share it with you. If your in the area stop In and have a bite you won't be displeased. read more

Just stopped in this place on a lark. Awesome lamb biryani and palak paneer. The biryani had really big chunks of lamb that tasted fresh. The naan was also really good, a lot thinner than most I've had but not too crisp. The only thing that wasn't totally awesome was the chai. The owner is very friendly and is obviously looking to provide a high quality experience, and delivers. read more

We finally have Indian restaurant in our area and it is good. Great food in a quiet home like atmosphere. We went on Wednesday for early dinner and were the only customers there. The food was served promptly and everything was hot (temperature wise). We ordered shrimp pakoras, beef samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb kebabs along with naan, Indian coffee, and Indian donuts. Everything was delicious, chicken was very tender and there was plenty of it to share between three people. Shrimp pakoras were really a hit, I think next time I'll make a meal out of it. I decided to try beef samosas instead of vegetarian one and even though it tasted good and spicy enough, I'd prefer vegetarian next time, it was too meaty for me :) Maybe that's why I didn't enjoy my lamb kebabs, because I was too full by then. I did eat it next day at home though, and it was good. Donuts were more like donut holes. I didn't know what to expect. They are kind of wet and spongy but they tasted delicious, not too sweet and rose syrup was something else! I can't describe the taste, it was like a light rosy caramel without stickiness and sweetness. We will definitely return. read more

We pick this restaurant strictly based on the reviews and boy did we hit a homerun my family and I just came back from vacation and wanted a something different...Everything we had was off the chain I will be coming back and I will be recommending this restaurant to all read more

We've waited so long for this restaurant to open. Both my husband and I have stopped by pre-opening to check on their progress. We finally tried it today. In all fairness, they were short-staffed so only Chef Russell and his wife to serve their customers. We ordered two Chai teas, received only one. Ordered samosas and when they were delivered, they were over-cooked and lacking flavor. Chef Russell told us they needed salt. If he knew that, why did they come out of the kitchen? Ordered Palak Paneer but received another dish. When we received the Palak Paneer, it was lacking flavor. Tikka Masala was great. Potato dumpling dish was full of flavor, but one dumpling was cold, one was lukewarm and one was hot. Rice needs to be fluffier and more fragrant. We ordered papad to go and it was greasy. Chef Russell did respond and tell me that it would be fried at a higher temperature to avoid this. I know these bumps in the road will be overcome, but consistency makes a restaurant. I hope they are able to recruit additional serving staff to allow Chef Russell more time in the kitchen. Having said all of the above, we will be back. read more

The food was OK. I was disappointed to see that they added $6.00 to my credit card bill, even though the total amount was very clear on the receipt. I had even left a 20% cash tip! I have notified my credit card company. To answer why we left a 20% tip: My dining partner is a waiter and he always leaves a 20% tip if the waiter was good. read more

I've been here twice, and I really really love the food. I'm Indian, so all I crave for in an Indian restaurant is the authentic Indian flavor. Curry Sultan has that. I love that the food is never too oily. Chef Russell is as good a host as he is a chef. Do check this place out. read more

Food here is good, homemade Indian. Servings are generous, except for the amount raita on the side. Wine servings are generous. The decor is pretty awful; another reviewer's label of "minimalist" is charitable. The service is very good, but can get almost too intrusive, especially if you are trying to carry on s conversation among friends. There aren't many options for Indian in Humble/Kingwood, so we are glad to have this, but some service and decor improvements would give it more stars. read more

The chef delivered the food to me personally and I must say I felt genuine passion from the man for the food he serves to his customers. The food itself deserves a 5 star review but the only reason I leave 4 instead of 5 was mainly because of the way the drinks were handled. My chai tea was Luke warm at best by the time it was delivered (I will note that the place was pretty busy when I placed my order, but even so I would have preferred to wait longer and leave an all out 5 star review). the drinks were also handled covered in plastic wrap which made for messier meal than I had originally planned. Now This may be a good way to avoid a spill when delivering but from a customer point of view id rather not have to wash my hands after wanting a drink. But as previously stated the food was wonderful and I will be returning! read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here last night. Our food was delicious and the service was great. The samosas we ordered as an appetizer were wonderful; fresh and crispy with a delicious sauce. I had the butter chicken and my husband had the lamb biryani - both were fresh and tasty and very filling! My husband was surprised that there was so much meat in the biryani. We also loved the garlic naan. There is a nice selection of beer or wine to enjoy with your dinner. Chef/owner Russell was very attentive and it was obvious that he is working hard to make his restaurant a success. We will definitely be back! read more

What a delicious surprise. A friend of mine ordered dinner from the Curry Sultan to be delivered to me as a surprise . She knew that I was trying to get over pneumonia and didn't feel like cooking. The dinner of butter chicken and other side dishes including delicious naan bread was absolutely fabulous. The second time my friend ordered take out for me, the owner delivered the dinner. What a nice person. As soon as I feel better, I am going to enjoy dinner at the restaurant. read more

The initial greeting leaves a good impression from here on everything is downhill. Had food in this place over the weekend, I had been to many Indian restaurants this is the Worst food I had. The entrée was just chicken pieces in a tomato puree the meat had no flavor. the menu pricing is misleading, everything is add. Simply to say the final bill is not worth the food. Will not recommend its waste of time and money. read more

Came on the recommendation from a friend of the owners, was not disappointed! Like a couple others mentioned, the ambiance could use a bit of work (it's located in a strip mall, and it feels like it) but the food was excellent! Had beef kofta and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and a mango lassi, all of it was extraordinarily tasty! Tasted very fresh too! The owner and his wife are both very pleasant! Unfortunately they were short a couple servers who didn't show up for work, so service was slow, but I imagine that can easily be fixed. I was disappointed only because I noticed AFTER we left that on the website they have a "specials" menu where they include lamb and tandoori dishes (which aren't on the main menu we received when seated). I suppose we'll have to return and ask specifically for the "specials" menu next time. Otherwise the food we ate was very good!! Like really good! :) We'll definitely be back. read more

The hype reviews are not true. I realize why we were the only customers, and I should have drove away when I had the chance. Spend your money on Hillcroft, instead. Went today at lunch and was RIPPED OFF!!! $43.00 something for some of the worst curries I've ever tasted in my life (they didn't taste even like curry). We ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, and Chicken Tika, samosas, and pappadaums, and mango lassi. The lassi tasted watery (like it had very little, or no yogurt in it at all (!!!), and that was $4.00! I finished maybe half). The lamb vindaloo was YELLOW, and TERRIBLE tasting. It tasted like it had a ton of asafoetida and the coconut in it had a bizarre after-taste. The Chicken Tika chicken was so DRY! It also tasted like the sauce was mostly canned tomato sauce. They charge $2.50 for a little side sauce of not even 3 oz like Tamarind Chutney or yogurt to go with your pappadaums. They'll give you a tiny bit of coriander chutney with your $4.00 pappadaums with some BLAND potatoes, but that's it! Super disappointing and a rip off!!! I would have been happy if the curries had at least been edible, and we told our waiter we DID NOT LIKE them, but they offered no apology or discount. we literally didn't even get to half way down in our curry bowls. That's how bad the food was, and we certainly didn't take the rest boxed up. The veggi samosas we're also bland. The only good thing were the pappadaums (except that you have to pay extra for any side of yogurt or tamarind chutney) and the Naan was good. So sad about this because I'm dying for good authentic, Indian curries, but THIS IS NOT IT (at least not the lamb vindaloo or Chicken Tika). read more
