I came on Sunday around 5:30, and was seated immediately. The steady influx/outflux of customers never made it seem too quiet, even though only half the restaurant was utilized. If you decide to come here, I recommend avoiding the Thai staples like Pad Thai and Tom Yum, and ordering at least 1 dish from the "From the Chef" section. This place feels more authentic with more unique offerings compared to your regular run of the mill Thai place (they are mostly government sponsored anyways). I ordered a Papaya salad (Som Tum Poo Pla), a Shrimp Paste Fried Rice, and Roasted Pork with Crispy Pork Belly. For starters, the Papaya salad with a bigger price tag is not for the faint of heart. There is a load of fish sauce, and combined with anchovies, makes for an...acquired dish. I was told by my server that it's pretty authentic, but it's a little too authentic and reminds me of Natto or Beijing tofu juice. The Shrimp Paste Fried rice is a must order; the spread is very instagram worthy and gives me vague paella vibes in terms that it's shareable and good for parties 2-4. I did not see this dish at other Thai restaurants I've been to, so I'd consider pretty unique. Just be mindful that it's on the sweeter side, and the chilis on the side are very, very spicy, so allocate accordingly. The Roasted Pork with Crispy Pork Belly was by far the star of the show. The skin was super crispy, and the pork itself was super tender, melt in your mouth feeling. The flavors and seasonings were perfect, with just a hint of basil to elevate the entire taste. A true adventure for the taste buds, and a must order as a shareable. Service was super friendly, and my waiter answered all my questions with a smile, and even gave us his recommendations since we wanted to stray away from the basic thai food orders. This place is a must come to if you're looking for true authentic Thai food from a chef that has pride in his work. I can't wait to come back to try their other unique dishes!

For 3 of us, we ordered and shared family-style: - Wagyu Basil Tray--good meat and rice with spices and a perfectly-cooked egg. Hey, I love eggs. - Chicken pad Thai-nice amount of chicken. Good noodle texture and flavor. - Saap Wings--salty and yummy. We also individually ordered Hot ginger tea, Coconut Water, and Thai iced tea. Would be back! We trie the crispy rolls ($12), papaya salad ($14.50), drunken noodle ($17.25), pad see ew ($17.25) and choo chee salmon ($23.95). The crispy rolls were vegetarian and came with a side of sweet chili dipping sauce. It was a standard roll, nothing to complain about but not something I would go out of my way for. Papaya salad was fresh and came with lettuce leaves as well. A solid app to split with a small group. I didn't try the drunken noodles as the group wanted beef in it, but I heard it was good. We decided to get tofu as the protein for the pad see ew, and it definitely hit the spot. However, I'd say the choo chee salmon was the winner. The curry sauce was super flavorful and had hints of coconut. Salmon was cooked well, and it came with some veggies that soaked up the curry. We didn't ask for rice on the side since we already had 2 carb dishes, but it would pair very nicely with white rice. Service was good. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I wish they had all the thai spices and sauces though. Usually at Thai restaurants, there's four different condiments, but this one only had a homemade spice concoction.

The pad Thai with chicken had good flavors of tamarind and wasn't too sweet. I liked that it was slightly crispy from being stir fried char. I do think it lacked vegetables (besides the large chopped green onions) like bean sprouts and chopped peanuts. Serving size was smaller than other Thai places. The Lapisara burger on the other hand was huge. The fries serving was also massive so we had to take those to-go afterwards. I didn't try the burger but my party said it was delicious. I ordered the ube latte with oat milk and was very impressed with the presentation. It came with ube ice cube in the shape of a teddy bear and topped with a daisy! Super cute! The drink itself was alright, I could taste a little of the ube starch texture but the flavors weren't really strong. The premise of…read morea thai fusion brunch intrigued me and I was hoping it was would surpass my expectations and previous experience with Peacock Pansy (similar brunch spot). The reservation system was a bit odd with no designated time slots, but rather you put in a time yourself online. The system turned out to not work very well as I originally booked a spot for 2 at 11am and then had to call to move it to 11:40am (weird time). Turns out when we got there, my name or a close spelling of it was on the list for 12:40pm. This wasn't a big deal to me since it's easy to mishear on the phone so we moved on from that. The restaurant was decently booked and we sat inside. Now for what my partner and I ordered! Unfortunately nothing called to me strongly so I went with the very basic choice of 2 eggs plate with ciabatta toast and rainbow potatoes. I added in chicken sausage for $3. 5/10: The toast was unbuttered and honestly tasted stale. The potatoes were nice and crispy, but unsalted and quite plain. The eggs were nice, I got mine scrambled. Sausages were okay, I think I actually ended up with the pork sausages rather than chicken. My plate was $26 and I can confidently say it is not worth close to that unfortunately. Brussel Florentine Benedict 6/10: My partner was intrigued by the ton yum hollandaise sauce. There was a hint of it which was nice. Benedicts were okay, nothing special. Coconut oat matcha 8/10: On the sweeter side, but enjoyable! I liked the toasted coconut pieces on top and thought it was a nice drink. Premium matcha wise, I don't agree necessarily, but hey it was an enjoyable drink. Drip coffee 0/10: My partner loves a drip coffee and not in a snobby way. From diner coffee to honestly plain old regular slightly brunt coffee, thats her jam. This coffee was just burnt. Not sure what happened but it was $5 for a completely bitter cup of burnt coffee. Not great. Fun side note: As we were ordering the table next to us called attention to their dish as their waffle was completely undercooked and tasted bitter. The wait staff was apologetic about it, but seemed to either not understand or insist it was "too sweet" not undercooked or bitter. The table was very polite about it so honestly it was not the best look for the restaurant. It was simply feedback and I don't believe it was taken very well. Regardless, just a fun note to throw in! We will not be back unfortunately. There are many lovely brunch spots and restaurants around the city and sadly I don't think this one is worth a try just because of the cost for the quality, but I always tell myself its always worth to try in case you do think differently!

They grill the tofu so it's got some crunch to it. Which totally elevates the Pad Thai. My Panang Curry with duck was excellent! Decent amount of duck just a few bones. Great little kick on the spice BUT not so spicy that it makes you regret life choices! Delicious will order again. The only thing I'd complain about is that my rice wasn't sticky. I prefer stickier rice - but this rice is perfect if you don't have a preference. I don't want fully unwashed mush but I like a little more starch. I'd order it again to see if it was just an off day for the sauce. It's a small restaurant & filled quickly at lunch. Many Asians eating there which told me it would be good. Restrooms were slippery so be careful but clean. Overall I would come again!

The papaya salad was spicy and sour, making it a refreshing palate cleanser before the main dishes. The pork belly had great flavor and came in a generous portion. I also tried the chicken curry, which paired beautifully with the rice. One of my favorite parts was the three different types of rice--I mixed them together with the dishes, which made each bite a little more interesting. The coconut mushroom soup was amazing, with a rich and comforting flavor. I was surprisingly impressed by the eggplant side dish as well. I'm not usually a fan of eggplant's texture, but it was cooked so well that I actually enjoyed it, and the flavorful sauce helped even more. To finish, the mango coconut pudding was light and refreshing. You could really taste the freshness of the mango, and it wasn't overly sweet--a perfect ending to the meal. Many tables to choose from on a Saturday. The restaurant itself is hidden away in an alleyway so not a lot of foot traffic, it's like a hole in the wall restaurant that you have to find.
