Current menu, pad Thai not yet available though

Holy Shred has been my go to whenever I don't want to cook. And the mee gai cheek has been consistently good. Juicy shredded chicken, silky noodles, crunchy lettuce, and spicy chicharron. I usually order an extra house sauce because the chicken soaks it up like a sponge. Having two ensures the entire dish is coated. I recently ordered pad Thai with tofu, which is the second time I've ordered it. I enjoyed the tofu, which was crispy and spicy. But the pad Thai was salty and I didn't get any tamarind flavor. I could only eat half, but decided to save the other half. A day or so later, I heated it up in my frying pan with a bit of water to soften the noodles. And it was so good! It wasn't salty anymore and I got a bit more tamarind flavor. So in the end I still enjoyed my meal, but I'm not sure if I'd order it again because the point of ordering take out is to eat it right away. Prices have gone up a little bit, but it's still one of the more affordable meals in the neighborhood. It's only for takeout, so you can order online ahead of time through DoorDash for pickup or delivery. You can order there, but you have to wait outside in the TL so better to do that during the day.

I guess What the Cluck must've uttered its last cackle because I briskly walked up Larkin Street anticipating some dependable poached chicken and ginger rice for my lunch break from jury duty. Alas, a different business has taken over with a busy crew preparing a Thai street food menu. They make their own variations of chicken rice though the poultry was fried vs. poached. They also offered noodles and pad thai, so I figured this spot was worth a try. I ordered the $12.95 Fried Chicken Noodle with Spicy Shallots (Photo 4). It was a hot day, so it was hard to find a shaded area to eat. I got lucky and found an outdoor bench at Opera Plaza. It was tasty though the fried chicken was a bit heavier than I wanted that day. I think the vermicelli noodles could've used sesame oil, but the lettuce provided a nice contrast. I guess I'll stick to other spots for Khao Mun gai, but this was a reasonably solid alternative. FOOD - 4 stars...flavorful Thai street food, fried chicken a bit heavy for me AMBIANCE - 3 stars...still a closet SERVICE - 4 stars...quite efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...something different to grab on Geary RELATED - Exploring the Tenderloin? I'm a sauce connoisseur and when I heard about this spot having some dangerously addicting and flavorful sauce, I knew I had to try it. Initially I thought, how good can it be? When I tried it, the flavors and everything really blew my mind. It's tangy, garlicy, and fresh. Comes with spicy chicharrones as a topping. Highly recommend the Sliced Beef Noodles (Dry)! 11.28.2025 | Thursday @2:26pm

Ambiance: quick grab and go spot Service: nice Food: Known for their Shredded Chicken Dry Noodles ($12.95) and I can see why It's shredded chicken served on top of thin vermicelli noodles and topped with spicy chicharron. Their sauce is light, but flavorful and coats every piece. A MUST! This is on the lighter side. If you want something more filling, I'd recommend their new Signature Green Curry Short Ribs ($20.95)- slow braised, fall off the bone short rib over jasmine rice! Served with a green curry made from coconut milk, green chilies, kaffir lime, and basil. Very hearty, portion size is good and can't beat that price in SF! For something filling, but mid range in price, I'd go for their Hatyai Crispy Chicken Rice($14.45) or Grilled BBQ Pork Rice ($14.45). The chicken is crispy and the pork is tender, both paired with their house smoky chili jaew sauce (has Thai chilies, cilantro, fish sauce, lime juice) and a sweet chili sauc If you can't handle spicy or want a creamy sauce, they offer 3 types of mayo (masaman curry, tom yum, and grilled pepper).

I haven't had such good noodle dishes like this in a long time. I would say i'm team chicken at the moment but their beef one is so soft and savory, I truly enjoyed my experience here. Price is affordable and portion is huge, keep me full for almost a whole day! Staff is really friendly and attentive during my visit. He brought the food out and gave us a brief explanation of each dish. I got fried tofu for appetizer, it was crunchy on the outside, soft inside, came with a lot of spicy fried shallot and i can taste a little bit of dried chilly flakes and lemongrass. Chicken noodle packed with shredded chicken and their vinegar white sauce goes so well with it!! Beef noodle is a little more savory and their beef was soft and tender, i dont know how they make the beef taste so good like that, the green sauce came with it was spicy and have a nice kick with it. Each dishes came with the a small bag of spicy chicharron bits to enhance the flavors even more, love it so much!! Thai tea also good, the server also gave me a cup of ice together with it! Store is pretty small, so it would be better if you order for to go but i decided to dine in and they have a few high chairs that could fit up to 4 people! From the outside, their store sign said What the cluck(?) but the decal in the front windows is HolyShred, it was a little bit confusing lol. Overall i love my first time experience with HolyShred, will comeback to try more items, I saw pad thai and fried chicken with rice on the tablet and those will be my next targets for future visit!!

I've had holy shred twice now and it's been amazing both times! I tried the hat yai pad Thai, the hat yai green curry, and the grilled chicken noodles. They were all so delicious, I couldn't pick a favorite! The sauce on the grilled chicken noodles is amazing. I'll definitely keep coming back!

Ordered the chicken noodle for delivery. Large portions at a great price and very tasty! Lots of flavor for a relatively simple dish. Definitely recommend!

Came on a Friday and service was very quick. Got my order in less than 5 minutes. Tried their shredded chicken noodle and sliced beef noodles. The chicken noodle was on the sweeter side. I prefer the beef one more. Highly recommend if you're nearby!

Just tried this brand-new Thai spot in the heart of the Tenderloin -- Holy Shred -- and wow, what a pleasant surprise! I ordered the shredded chicken noodles, and they absolutely nailed it. The sauce was rich and flavorful with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. The spicy chicharrón on top added an amazing crunch and kick -- something I didn't even know I needed in Thai food until now. I also tried the beef option, and the meat was incredibly tender -- you can tell they take their time prepping it. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. To top it off, their Thai tea was spectacular -- creamy, perfectly sweet, and super refreshing after the spice. It's awesome seeing a spot like this open up in the Tenderloin. Definitely worth checking out before it blows up! Service was quick. Welcoming environment. Must-try: Shredded chicken noodles with spicy chicharrón Don't skip: The Thai tea!

I ordered food delivery from here. It was the first time I came across this place on Uber Eats and I decided to give it a try. I think they're fairly new, so they had a BOGO promo. I had the hatyai crispy chicken rice and shredded chicken noodles, and both were equally delicious. The portion seems good for the price. The chicken was seasoned well and tender, side salad was fresh, rice was fluffy, and vermicelli had a good bite. They also provided crispy chicharron to go with the dishes, which took it to the next level. I appreciate the quality of these Thai street food. The spice level of the dishes were fairly mild for me (an asian), but for those who can't handle spicy food, they have the sauces set aside in separate cups. I feel the sauce with the chili seeds that goes with the side salad of the hatyai crispy chicken rice was spicier (enough to decongest, but not break out in a sweat) than the sweet chili sauce (which is only a tad bit spicy).

    Thai tea and Pork grinds

Went on Sunday afternoon (1pm or so), no wait. Ordered the main 2 items + drink -sliced beef noodle dry -shredded chicken noodle dry -thai tea Looks plain but worth trying as it is anything but plain. Thinner vermicelli noodle and is cooked perfectly. Has a nice bouncy texture so it did not break apart even after warming it up for a few seconds as recommended. Fried pork bits are a good addition for different texture. For sensitive teeth, be warned, some pieces were hard to chew. Chicken dry noodle -Subtle similar taste to vietnamese vermicelli. But not entirely. Chicken seems to be dark meat so not dry AT ALL. Very refreshing and flavorful. But it did get a little sweeter the more i ate it. But this is very delicious and a must try. Taste very refreshing and would get this again. Beef dish is savory and spicy. Has a subtle soy sauce flavor from the noodles so this is much more savory and salty conpared to the chicken dish. If you want more salty, spicy, herby flavor, get this. Meat has nice soft texture and was not tough at all. Thai tea - won't recommend. Taste too sweet from condensed milk and cannot taste the tea. Didn't taste refreshing and I wouldn't get this again :(

Crispy Papaya salad - I never had deep fried papaya before and this appetizer was such a great starter! The fish sauce paired so well with the fried papaya. Goong Pad Kai Kem - this was the crispy fried shrimp with salted egg yolk. Our waitress recommended this dish and it was DELICIOUS! The shrimp was fried to perfection and the salted egg added a rich flavor. I'd order this again! Khao Soi - the texture of the egg noodles was bouncy and tasted so good with the curry broth. This dish had so much flavor and became one of my fav dishes we ordered. We added the crispy fried chicken for the protein and it was great addition to the dish. I overall had a great dining experience here. All the food was tasty and was definitely worth the hype! 10/10 would come back again!

We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. He checked in at all the right times, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. You can tell he really cares about providing excellent service without ever being overbearing. Mark's positive attitude and professionalism made our meal memorable, and he's a big reason we'll be coming back. If you're here for brunch, definitely ask for Mark--you'll be in great hands!

We decided to share a mimosa flight, spring rolls, and ahi scoops. Even though it wasn't brunch, they still allowed us to order a brunch flight, and they were so polite and helpful throughout 4.8/5. The inside is tiny, but quite stunning, clean, and gives a lot of opportunities for insta-worthy pics 4.9/5, I only wish there had been an actual photo wall. Now to the food. The crispy spring rolls were cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The clear noodles and veggies were so yummy. I asked for soy sauce because that's what I prefer over sweet sauce, but honestly they needed nothing 4.8/5. The ahi scoops had the best seaweed salad on it that I have EVER had, the wasabi cream on top was the show stopper, and I don't even like wasabi 5/5. We shared the flight and was more than tipsy from two drinks each, flavors on point champagne delicious 5/5. Overall

The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful. Minced well and great to complement with your carb dishes (noodle or rice). We thought the dish was slightly oily but it feels well absorbed when eaten with our pad thai. If you have tried the dish before and would like it, this will be satisfactory!
