I was thrilled with my Currito delivery today. I ordered a chicken and rice bowl with extra chicken and it arrived at the perfect temperature so it was ready to eat immediately. The bowl was packed and legitimately stuffed with high-quality protein and super fresh, crisp veggies. I was so happy that they didn't just give me a bowl of rice with very little protein or vegetables. It's rare to find a place that doesn't skimp on the good stuff. I hadn't been to a Currito in years, since they had one location near UC that was serving just different types of burritos. It seems since then they have pivoted to being more of an overall healthy fast casual option. I ordered ahead online for curbside pickup during a weekday where I needed a late lunch. It was a very easy procedure. My order was ready quickly and in the time promised. I parked in the designated pickup spot, called the number listed, and they brought it right out. My purchase was of a "Superfood salad with chicken", and an "Orange glo" smoothie. The salad was a generous size and all of the ingredients were fresh. The dressing was really good, however id recommend asking/ordering an extra dressing, as one was not nearly enough (and I only like a salad lightly dressed anyways). Next time I would skip the chicken and either go meatless or try something else, as I wasn't a fan. It was kind of rubbery. The smoothie had great flavor and was filling enough by itself, without a salad! read more

OMG I was so happy that these guys were open at 4pm! I had a busy day and was beyond starving when my friend took me to Currito. We got the Chicken Tikka bowl. Everything was done mindful of the pandemic. The guy taking our order and preparing our food had a mask on and used fresh gloves. Everything was clean. The bowl was amazing. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean bowl at Currito - a bowl with rice and hummus brings the bowl to comfort food level for me. There are lots of choices at Currito and it seems very fresh in a healthy, Chipotle- fast food kind of way. The menu has lots of choices - bowls, wraps, salads, smoothies - so it's a good option for when you are looking for healthy and quick but aren't exactly sure what you want. I want to love Currito but my first experience here left me wanting a bit more. As a newbie, I didn't know how menu works, and on my visit the server was not very forthcoming: ready to take my order, but offered no help in explaining their approach or offers. So, I spent some time staring at the board. My dining partner was hoping for a salad (website mentions salads) but standing at the counter, it was not clear at all that they offer salads. She ended up getting a build your own bowl with rice, edamame and black beans - edible but plain and not the salad she had envisioned. It was needlessly confusing. What I know: they have bowls and they are pretty good. If I go again, I'll read up on their menu in advance and hopefully be better prepared to try something new! I also recommend speaking up asking a lot of questions instead of assuming the server is interested in your experience at the restaurant (though maybe that is a location-specific characteristic). read more

Currito is another fast casual healthy food place. It's much like Chipotle but with more vegetarian choices. They have bowls and salads. It also has smoothies if you want a healthy drink. The prices are kind of high for portions. I got the Bangkok Bowl. It's about $7 for the regular portion. This comes with mostly rice. It dies taste pretty good. They have protein options and I got it with tofu. It's not exactly a filling meal, but it sure is healthy. The smoothies also looked good, but the meal already cost me enough as it was. Inside of the restaurant has a very corporate feel. It really seems like a national chain. That may or may not be a turn off if you're looking to eat in there. read more

We ate here today and it was really fresh, healthy, and delicious! The customer service was good as well. It's set up like a Chipotle restaurant, you can choose either a bowl, burrito, salad, smoothie, or a shake. They have several on the menu to choose from or you can create your own. Everything is customizable. My husband got the Bangkok burrito, it had Asian cabbage, cilantro lime rice, cucumber, shredded carrots, silvered almonds, Thai-style peanut sauce, spicy cashew vinaigrette, sesame seeds, he added grilled chicken, it was all wrapped up in a flour tortilla and grilled. Our son had a build your own bowl with white rice, grilled steak, black beans, and cheese. I had the Mediterranean bowl, it had brown rice, pico de gallo, house vinaigrette, house made hummus, cucumbers, feta cheese, I added curry chick peas, grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, and corn salsa. So good. This restaurant group has been around awhile in Cincy and they were way ahead of their time with healthy fast casual. Sweet Greens and so many other places have since popped up but Currito is one of the originals in my mind - and locally owned. Fave is the tikka bowl with tofu. Lower in sodium than the other proteins and strong flavors. Never disappointed! There is a build your own, but the also have several pre-set ones to chose from. Serving size is not abundant- I actually finished most of it which it which is rare. I've been in Cincinnati are for work for last 9 months. Once I tried this place, I've eaten here more than any other place in the area. It's generally very healthy and fresh. It's extremely fast and not expensive. I can't get off the Bangkok bowl with chicken, substitute quinoa for rice, add sweet potatoes and caramelized onions. I get this about 90 percent of the time. Never disappoints. Very nice portions. Hard to beat a fresh $11 dinner. Their smoothies are also delicious but it's too many calories to get one with a meal. From time to time I'll stop just to get a smoothie by itself. The jimmy Carter (peanut butter/banana) is outstanding as is the dreamsicle. If you haven't been and you are sick of same fast food crap most others are churning out, this is a very nice alternative. read more

I've been doing the FODMAPS (if you don't know, read this as "complicated, doctor-prescribed elimination diet") due to gut issues. So now food, especially eating out, has been quite a challenge. Honestly, I've been avoiding eating out but, I was out with a friend who insisted we eat. I was apprehensive about eating out on this stupid diet but then I saw this place. My friend tried to talk me out of it but the menu looked too promising. The ingredients are clean and it's easy to pick what may or may not be on your diet. I love assembly line food. There are so many options here! I had a Bangkok bowl. It was beautiful. The ladies assembling it were charming, too. I did not have the spicy sauce with it and they were really bummed for me. It turns out they make it on site and it's apparently delicious. While I agree, it might not be a ton of food for the price point, I really value places that I can actually eat at and it was plenty of food for me. Gluten free, vegan, FODMAPS safe... it was so exciting! My friend, however, was not as pleased. He got something with chicken but ended up primarily eating some Chipotle we picked up across the street. I found this establishment to be really clean and bright. I'm absolutely going back and possibly to the other locations when I get a chance, too. Hopefully I get to try that delicious spicy sauce for myself one day soon. read more

This was my first time in a Currito. This was so fun! Grains; brown rice, white cilantro lime rice, quinoa or Greens: cabbage, romaine, kale, arugula. Then they have proteins; chicken, beef or tofu. And then all the fixings you could want to add; cucumbers, avocado, beans, tomatoes, croutons, rice noodles, etc. You can make a burrito, salad or grain bowl. And they have menu items with a predetermined recipe or you can "walk the line" and select items individually to craft your own meal. They have a patio seating area with big umbrellas and they have a cute orange dog bowl outside with water. Ordering is efficient, price seemed reasonable and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and there were plenty of tables in a variety of sizes. I will definitely eat here again. read more

Where else can you get quinoa, lentils, chickpeas, tofu, kale and the list goes on? The salsa options are SO good I end up getting all four - pico, green, corn AND mango. That creamy lime dressing is my heaven. And if I'm not in the mood for a Mexi bowl it's got to be a Greek Greens salad or buffalo chicken bowl. Tried this gem today and I was very pleased! They have pre-selected bowls on the menu to choose from, some more Asian inspired, some Mexican inspired and others. They also have a build your own option which is what I chose! (Like going down the line at chipotle) You can add chicken, steak, or tofu, also guac. I made mine with more of a Mediterranean meets Indian vibe. Quinoa was my base, grilled chicken, Tika sauce, grilled onions, cabbage blend, kale, roasted sweet potatoes, feta cheese, cucumbers, topped with cucumber tahini, pumpkin seeds and some pepper flakes. Everything was very fresh and tasty. This was my first time there today so I was probably a little slower trying to make decisions/ask questions. (I have to eat GF) The girl building my bowl was sweet but seemed to be very rushed when I was asking any questions or delayed a second on a topping. She wasn't rude, just rushed I felt. Change is good.....When I first ate at Currito's in Clifton a long time ago (I am fucking old) I would have never been excited to go back. I felt like it was a rip off of chipotle and chipotle was dominating back then. Unlike today, every time I eat at chipotle I say a little pray than I don't get sick or shit myself. Chipotle might be dying a slow death. Especially if concepts like Currito keep popping up and innovating. I have to give Currito credit, which I hate doing, but their food is pretty dam good for a quick style concept. Its clean and healthy which is hard to find these days. It's chipotle but healthier with a lot more options. They have great smoothies too, but they should be a bigger size. every location is very clean and modern and the staff does a good job. I've been to a number of Curritos and have never experienced such great customer service! I was assisted by Paula who obviously was trained by either a 'Chic-fil-a' corporate trainer or God himself. I was looking for a quick place to go after the gym that was semi healthy. I had heard of this place before but wasn't sure if I would like it. After looking at the menu, it looked like something I wanted to try. We told the guy that it was our first time there and we wanted to take a quick look at the menu. The guy explained the menu, how it works, and offered some suggestions on popular items that he had seen in that location. I picked the meat (three options: chicken, tofu, and steak) and an already crafted bowl. I loved the food. Everything was so fresh. We had told the lady making our bowls that it was our first time and even though we didn't ask for chips, she gave us a few chips with some smokes of the different sauces and humus. Wow! I was stunned at what a good first experience the team was trying to make it for us. Another team member checked up on us to see how we liked our meal and emptied our trays when we were done. I hope all locations are as good as this one and if not, this team needs to show everyone else how it's done! I will definitely be back!
