The space still has a slightly weird food hall vibe (not super cozy coffee shop energy), but the drinks are hand crafted. They use local beans, have handmade syrups, and offer a fun variety of specialty drinks that feel thoughtful and well made. One of my favorite details: the plants throughout the shop have names and many are for sale, which is such a fun, quirky touch and makes the space feel more intentional and unique. Rough first impression for sure. This is one identity within a building called "Resolve Food Hall", which is the main thing you'll notice as you approach the building. I was not sure I was even in the right place at first. Straight ahead as you enter is the coffee shop part of this place, and there is a touchscreen ordering panel but also a cashier. However, we came at 11am on a Saturday and wanted some of the brunch options. We were directed to a table in another part of the facility, given the full Curiouser menu, and abandoned for 30 minutes. No one talked to us again so we left and got brunch at another nearby establishment. I still hadn't had any coffee later that afternoon so I stopped by to try an easier scenario, and I had an excellent iced drink called Absolutely Alice. Perfect sweetness level for me; I like it sweet while still being able to get coffee flavor out of it. So I would definitely return for a coffee. The corners of the building that are meant to be associated with the coffee shop part of the business are nice; lots of plants and homey touches. But even though we did see servers taking orders at other tables, I don't think they have that down. I'd recommend coming here just for small orders at the counter. read more

Stopped by Curioser Coffee for the first time while visiting Revolve Hall. Service wasn't my favorite as staff felt a little bland and not super welcoming, but they definitely know how to make a solid coffee. I ordered the Absolutely Alice and loved it--the balance was spot-on, not overly sweet, and just what I needed for a mid-day caffeine boost. My chocolate chip cookie was yummy as well. The space is beautiful. Filled with plants, cozy lighting, and plenty of seating. It's the kind of place that works well for catching up with a friend, getting some studying done, or just having a little solo time. Bonus: there's parking on-site, which is always a win in my book, and a bunch of other businesses in the area if you want to run errands after. I don't make it out to Apple Valley often, but this spot might give me a reason to start. read more

Our experience here was amazing. My friend and I had some work to do but needed a change of scenery and I had been wanting to come here for some time! We got 2 coffees, the breakfast burrito and the breakfast croissant and all of them were super yummy! I was also pleased to be able to finish off my work hour with a white russian! This is my second trip to this cafe. First of all it is a wonderful cafe with a great ambience and nice spaces to sit and read or meet up with friends. You order at the counter and if getting food you get a number to put on your table. Coffee gets picked at the coffee counter when they call your name. So we ordered food and I had the Cold Brew coffee flight. Starting with the coffee it came with 4 samples of Cold Brew and all were nice and cold. However the cold brew was not very strong and was fairly lightly brewed which was surprising. The price point of $7 was great but these should have been brewed longer in my opinion as they were too watery. The first time we went I had The Stupid Girl which was very good. For food we got the burrito, the skillet and the pancakes. The pancakes were tasty, the burrito didn't have a lot of flavor and could use some Chalula or something but the ingredients were good. The skillet had a lot of good ingredients but the eggs were not scrambled but in chunks in there which was a bit weird because you'd get big pieces of yolk throughout. I ended up chopping it all up more before eating my leftovers. The previous visit was had the Off with Her Head sandwich and that was very good! The croissant we also had was dry however. The other thing is timing....it takes quite a while to get your food so be prepared for a bit of a wait but it comes out hot. It's a very nice place but could use a couple of tweaks here and there as there are some hits and some misses. I had seen the social media buzz around this spot, so I thought I'd swing in on my day off to check it out! The spot is a bit difficult to find, because there is no door on the side of the building with their sign. Simply enter on the Pizza Social side! This spot isn't much of a coffee shop as it is inside a restaurant. This kinda minimizes the coziness you might be expecting from a coffeeshop. Once you order, the seating spaces are lovely and modern. Tons of fun seating options with plenty of plants around as promised. The service was a bit all over the place, but it was understandable as there was quite a line of people ordering and waiting. I had the Alice Of Course, their take on a pistachio latte! It was really yummy and coffee forward, which I appreciated. What I didn't appreciate was that my drink was just slopped together by the barista. At $7 for a latte, I expect at least an attempt at latte art for a specialty latte. I didn't order any food, but it looked really yummy. I loved the inside of this venue! Curiouser is located within Revolve Hall in Apple Valley. From the minute you walk in you see plants and chandeliers and a dimmed environment. I got The Only Alice which is espresso, local honey, lavender, pink peppercorn bitters, and milk and it was great! They had a few great sounding signature drinks that made it hard to choose. Once you have your drink, there's plenty of sitting inside or you can take it to go. Revolve Hall has a parking lot making it easy to park and had a nice outdoor space as well. Really liked the large space here! There were more than plenty of seating areas to choose from, including a smaller room with so many plants. Was a bit disappointed with the drinks - while they provided a variety of both regular coffee drinks and specialty drinks, it was very pricey for a small cup (as shown in the picture). The sandwich was 5/10 - not bad but not great. It was lacking a lot of flavor, though the portion size was pretty good for the price. My favorite part about this place were the swings outside. We ended up sitting on the patio which was lovely. We found some shade on a hot summer morning. The coffee was a bit pricy. I chose the iced latte and friend had a cold brew. Both were good. Was super excited for this new coffee place. But the experience and service were awful. First off, walking in is a bit confusing. Left or right? The cashier was rude, staring at her screen the whole time taking our order. Very awkward. She was distracted and we had to repeat our order a couple of times. The seating was self seating. Place itself was ok, nice, dimly lit, ok music....our coffee was watery and not even flavorful, or sweet. Just served in a jar without a straw or anything to mix it in....the food was also a flavorless abomination that shouldn't be served to anyone, not even a sauce served with it to mask the plainness. The drinks were a bit more spendy than other coffee shops but seem to have quality items. I was excited about coming to browse plants as most are for sale which is fun but was slightly disappointed in the high prices. One bonsai had nothing but a stem and was $28. And the high prices seemed similar across all plant varieties. They have ample seating though and I found it a pleasant space to sit and work for a couple hours. I had an open-faced chicken sandwich and coffee for $15. The process is pretty simple. You order your food on your own with the cashier when you come in, and you seat yourself. They have a somewhat adventurous menu, but the workers had no problem helping me with recommendations. They have a variety of plants that are already named and ready for you to take home if you choose. They have homemade syrups, creative combinations, and several fun menu items that are all Alice in Wonderland themed. My vanilla oat milk latte was great! I also tried the "Off With Her Head" open faced sandwich, which was delicious! The chicken was very tender and the flavors were perfect. My only recommendation would be to make it on a hearty or bread, as the toast it was made on started to fall apart. The other cool part about this cafe is that all of the plants are for sale! Curiouser is a cute little coffee shop by day, pizza restaurant by night! I came in about a half an hour after opening on a Saturday with my spouse and there were already several groups to people here. I absolutely love the aesthetic. It's dark, moody, but somehow refreshing with the wood and all of the plants for sale around. On one side, there's a lot of café seating and on the other more high tops and a bar where I assume the pizza restaurant is. They have a basic café menu, some breakfast/brunch food options, and a signature drink menu with Alice in Wonderland themed drinks. One thing I will mention with the signature drinks is that you CANNOT get them decaf. This was a bummer to me since I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, but wanted to still try the signature drinks. I tested my luck and ordered the "Alice of course". It was delicious hot, but I expected the pistachio flavor to be a bit stronger. My husband got the "Almost Alice". Since he is lactose intolerant, I tried to order it with almond milk but was told that the Cocoa Puffs cereal milk only came as dairy. His drink was a little stronger with the coffee flavor than expected, but he still enjoyed it. Overall, I really enjoyed the aesthetic of this coffee shop but really hope they can be more accessible as they are open for longer. Not having an option for decaf espresso was a bummer for me. The decor in this place is so nice, greenery and live plants line the walls and every shelf. The plants all have names and are available for adoption! Finally Apple Valley has its own darling, local coffee shop. Located at the back of Pizzeria Social (used to be Mezcalito Butcher), Curiouser Coffee has a quiet and relaxed vibe. As alluded by the name, there is a whimsical feel: light and airy like a conservatory, but cozy and comfortable like the best pubs. I had a latte, and it was enjoyable. Next time, I want to try a signature drink. The service was very friendly, prices were reasonable, but the atmosphere is what will bring me back. I can imagine meeting a friend here or coming to do work here (with free Wifi). Each plant is named and for sale! I met a plant named Snoop Dog, but did not buy. I heard about this spot from my wife who heard from somebody else. I thought it was a dumb name for a coffee shop but she told me it's Alice in Wonderland themed. Okay...I guess that makes sense? We weren't greeted walking in but the crew behind us was. Never let that phase me but I observe it. It took us a moment to process the menu, from the drink and food titles to the description of those items. I went with the Absolutely Alice drink. My wife went with the Alice at last and we got our daughter a hot chocolate as the only "kid drinks" was hot chocolate or milk....there was no kids menu but they did their best to accommodate. I also got the unlawful seduction sandwich. Ham, and dolled up pear slices panini. The sandwich was.....interesting. I ate it, but I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. It was decent but had a unique texture to it. My daughter had the There's Plenty of Room sandwich. My wife had Alice at Last drink at first & the Mock Turtle Sandwich. She switched to an iced late, heavy cream and sugar free vanilla. That first drink was terrible! Alice at Last, yeah last time either of us take a sip of that. It was a bitter, carbonated, tart but not in a good way, no flavor....just should not be a drink combination. The sandwich redeemed it for her. She rated it a 9 cus the sandwich was on point with spicy kick. wife: "the Alice at Last drink needs to come with a warning that's it's for a specific type of person." Me: "yeah hipsters." Wife: "hideouser and hideouser" One of the reasons I readily gave this place a shot was I also saw a Yelpers photo of the same drink I purchased, only there's was in a mason jar. Only mine was a dud, even though it was all "for here" and not to go, I got a cheap plastic cup....C'mon' man...... my wife's drink was bigger than mine....she noticed it before I did. I expected a small and quaint place, not realizing they shared space with 2 other businesses - they don't operate all at the same time so no worries about it being overwhelming. This is such a cute concept for a coffee shop. The Alice and Wonderland themed food and drink paired with the greenhouse is a great idea! I do think the coffee is a bit expensive for what you get. I have no problem paying for good coffee, but this coffee was just okay and was incredibly small. I had the Almost Alice and truly could not taste any cocoa, and I also had the There's Plenty of Room sandwich on somewhat stale panini. I bought a few plants at the end and to say they were expensive is a vast understatement. One was a small air plant ($7) that fell apart no joke four days later. I've kept other air plants alive with similar care, so this surprised me. I'll probably return because it is a cool concept and the ambience of the coffee room is so neat and very unique for this side of the river, but I'll forgo plants and try a different drink. read more
