The record selection is amazing with a great mix of new and used records, plus a super fun section of $2 records where you can fill a bag and find some real gems. The coffee is excellent. The breakfast sandwich is house made and prepared fresh for you, and everything we tried was delicious. The caramel brulee latte is truly something special. It has a full cap of caramelized sugar on top and is honestly exquisite. Service is outstanding. Friendly faces, quick service, and such a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. There are lots of seating options and plenty of natural light, making it a great place to hang out, relax, work a bit, or browse records. Overall just a fun, feel-good spot that combines great coffee, great music, and great people. One of those places you leave already planning to come back.

I understand that doing it this way requires less wait staff, but it really diminshed what had been a very special experience. Shortly after receiving the three tiered serving tray, they brought out the fourth course, a cold scone. It was plopped on a plate in front of us. No clotted cream or jam but some kind of butter. The clotted cream was missed. We were looking forward to a warm scone with clotted cream. I feel the need to update my review amid the COVID-19 madness right now. I went to this location on…read morea Saturday afternoon during the height of social distancing and people stocking up for 30 days worth of supplies for a self-quarantine. I was expecting the images that I've been seeing in the news: empty shelves, chaotic and aggressive atmosphere, etc. What I discovered at Mississippi Market was the exact opposite. I was one of about 10 other customers. Every single shelf was full of beautiful produce and all the necessities (except for toilet paper but I don't blame the co-op... people are truly unreasonable with this obsession right now and have purchasing patterns that are difficult to anticipate). There was music playing softly in the background and the staff were calm and friendly, even though I know their workday is exponentially more difficult right now. There was so much extra hand sanitizer around the store. The good kind that smells like lavender! Thank you to this co-op for being the calmest haven for ingredients to make nutrient dense meals throughout this time of isolation and public chaos.
