Cupid's Hot Dogs has sadly closed this location. For whatever reason, Orlando has seen multiple hot dog restaurants open and close and the only restaurant with an emphasis on hot dogs that has survived with any longevity (and we are talking decades here) has been Hot Dog Heaven on East Colonial Drive. Anyway, Cupid's Hot Dogs was a nice enough spot with a friendly staff and a pleasant enough ambiance. I wish all involved the best of luck in their future endeavors. read more

I actually went in to get Red Panda but they were not serving at that time. They share a space with Cupid's. There has been a lot of debate about hot dogs lately in Orlando. I have been a long time fan of Hotdog Heaven and the now shuttered Chicago Dog restaurant in Altamonte. Growing up I loved chili cheese dogs from A&W and later learned to like the garden style toppings of a Chicago dog where ketchup is never a condiment for a dog. So I ordered a Chicago dog and fries. For the record Cupid's has very reasonable prices. Not Costco or Sam's cheap but also not $15. I got very good service when I ordered at the counter and my meal came out very quickly. This restaurant is large and the dining area was clean and comfortable. My hot dog had plentiful toppings, which I love, including the neon green relish and celery salt. I get the sport peppers on the side. The French fries order was a decent size portion and since the fries were made to order they were hot and crispy. A good deal and a contender in the Orlando hotdog scene but not my all time favorite. That would be the Chicago dogs I would buy from a cart when we rolled out of college bars as they were closing. read more

Whooooo boy this place was TASTY! My bf and I make it a habit of trying multiple hot dog places, and this little hole in the wall knocks every single one we've visited in Orlando out of the park. Tasty ingredients? Check! Inexpensive? Check! Clean location? Check! Customer service? TRIPLE CHECK!! The menu is easy to understand, simple, and you can watch your food being prepared. They have two sizes of hot dogs. 6 inch and 7 inch (not too much of a difference). Some of the best fries I've tasted (although I think they are the same ones I make at home lol), and you're helped as soon as you walk in. Let me start with the food here is wonderful! They added a some Asian dishes with an offshoot they call "pinkies". The spring rolls were great! The ordering process was fine. Cost was reasonable. It was the dining area where we had the issue. I completely understand the need to bring a child to work with you sometimes. But when the child is running around the lobby, jumping on the booths, it is going to hurt the business. Would I come back here? For carry out? Sure. To Dine in? No way. It got so bad that a customer trying to eat had to say something to him. :( read more

4 stars for some great hot dogs and different options! We heard all the buzz about this place on Bungalower and it was close to us so we had to check it out! They have a special going on until April 23rd when you order any hot dog you can make it a combo for $1, which includes fries and a large drink. The drink and fries are rather generous too! Normally the combo is an extra $3.75 with your hot dog, so I would definitely check them out before the promo is over if you wanna save a little! The Staff was super friendly and our food came out really quickly. There's plenty of inside seating if you want to dine in. All the walls are decorated with cute murals and old throw back art of Cupids! We ordered the Chicago Dog, $5.15 and the Slaw Dog, $4.75. I wished the Chicago Dog had a traditional sesame bun but it was good otherwise. They make the relish a neon color, good for some gram pics! We came here when they first opened and there was a great deal for a combo meal. The area is very spacious and clean. Service was a little disorganised and slow but that's ok since they were finding their feet in the new establishment. Good portion of fries given with the combo deal. The location of this place leave much to be desired. It's off to the side of the road . I have passed it several time and questioned if was even open myself. But this time I decided to stop in. This is my 2nd review. Went for a Chicago dog and cup off chili. Total was $9. My review is mainly for the chili (which tastes great). When they handed me the "cup" I asked if it was correct because it was so small. They checked and said it was correct. Now when ordering a cup of anything you would think it is a cup, or 8oz. No this was no more than 3oz in a tiny condiment container. Just a few spoonfuls. It cost almost $3. Now for only $1 I could have gotten chili added to my hotdog and it would have been the same amount. They told me that is how it is. I have only two regrets about Cupid's number one they're not closer to my house and they're not closer to my house :-) this is my third visit and my friend and I had two chili dogs one of which we split and I had a Chicago dog with fries and a drink. My Chicago-style hot dog was delicious and my fries were served nice and hot. Cupid's Hot Dogs would be ideal for a team lunch or a birthday party. Exactly what I needed. Ordered a spicy chili cheese dog, fries, and a Thai tea from the nicest server in the world, Lisa, and everything came quick to the table. The fries were ridiculously good and crispy being double fried. Hush sauce added a nice kick over the ketchup. The chili was superb and the snap you get from biting into the dog let you know this was the real thing. Thai tea helped to offset the spice from the chili and sauce. Free refills were a nice plus. Went there because of the car wash in the next lot and decided to get a hot dog. It was so small and the bun looked like it was smashed. This place has top notch service as the drive thru is always on point. I always order alot as my 85 year old father loves his hot dogs and they are one of the best in Orlando. I ordered chili dogs through Uber Eats on Sunday and was really looking forward to them. However when they arrived the dogs were cold and the buns tasted stale. The chili was very watery and in a separate container but was also cold. I heated them up in the microwave so everything was not lost. I have been eating Cupid's Hot Dogs for 60 years, having grown up in the San Fernando Valley. I live in Oregon now and travel to Orlando a few times a year. I was thrilled when I found a Cupids in town. Have eaten at this location several times, and I have to say, the original chili dog ,the one i used to order in Cali, as 1 with everything , (mustard, onions, and chili) was great! I have had the slaw dog and Chicago dog and both were very good. I don't love the style of fries but they have this good sauce to dip them. Coming from California and as a child going to the original Cupids on Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood and going to the one on Victory Blvd, Van Nuys I was very curious how they could replicate that. I was disappointed in the restaurant's decor only wanting the nostalgia of my era. They could paint it white but still not the same. Time goes on! Once inside I saw classic photos of where I would buy a hot dog at the corner stands and I perked up. I order a chili-cheese with no onions like I use to and when I bit into hot dog-it snapped just as I remember as a child. It was just as good as Cupids in California.
