This is meant to be a large portion of fries.

Horrendous, the portion sizes are so ridiculously small. Ironic given the name "fat shack" look at how small this portion of $8 "large" fries are. Will never be returning here and actively informing others to avoid.

I was on the go in the area , so I grabbed this burger and fried pickles to try a new burger spot. The service was wonderful and I would def grab another burger from here. The pickles were really good as well! I love a good burger , craving satisfied.

The service here was amazing! While we were eating, one of the chefs came to our table and asked if we'd like to try a new sandwich they're coming out with. I'm not sure of the name but it was delicious and I thought it was so great they wanted feedback. While there wasn't a ton of seating, the inside was clean and well-kept. Definitely a great spot for a college town. I wish there would have been something like this in my college town when I was in school. The menus that are currently on Yelp are a little outdated, which is disappointing because a lot of the options they used to have looked delicious: now there are only 8 sandwiches to choose from. I tried both the "Fat Cow" and "Fat Doobie" which are a little overwhelming sober, but like I said, after a night out in college this would be ideal! They also have an array of sweet options as well as individual sides for a lighter option. While this restaurant surely is for a cheat day, it will not disappoint!

So I'm in town for a conference abd if you're like me...go to this place. I'll start with dessert. The fried oreos were scrumptious perfect. The right amount of fried crispy dough with the powdered sugar on top. And the oreo was ooooey gooey good. Melted in your mouth. The classic Supreme could quite possibly feed a family of four. Just look at the picture for description and know it was the best burger ...ever. The Philly cheesesteak was to die for and both fries were that beautiful fried light and golden crispy....the best. Go!

The fat doobie was delicious, super fatty and juicy. The service was great, I would definitely recommend this a place to eat for anyone that's hungry late at night or wants to cheat out of a meal prep.

The Fat Shack has opened a location in Orlando, Florida by the University of Central Florida (UCF). The restaurant boasts that they do "late night done right" and offer a menu that was built around the wonderful concept of the "fat sandwich" that was created in the City of New Brunswick, New Jersey to offer hungry college kids a huge sandwich and with this culinary creation, a legend was born. First, be advised that this is a very small place. It has a total of three tables inside and one table outside. So, if you are looking to dine-in, you might want to look elsewhere. However, if takeout is your thing, this might be the place for you. My order fortunately was for takeout and I opted for their signature "Fat Shack," which is a sandwich comprised of cheesesteak, chicken tenders, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, french fries and usually honey-jalapeno mustard. Instead of the honey-jalapeno mustard, I asked for their cheddar cheese sauce, which they happily obliged me. Service here was friendly, though there appeared to be a bit of confusion, which is understandable considering that they are pretty much brand new. Also, be advised that they are not an inexpensive option. My regular-sized Fat Shack was about fifteen dollars. Though for that fifteen dollars, they definitely give you a lot of food. It was also a good sandwich, though certainly not the healthiest of meals. The burger that I also ordered was like seven dollars and to add bacon and onion rings was $1.50 each. So the burger was about ten dollars, but I was told that it was a good burger. All in all, Fat Shack is a good addition to the dining scene around the University of Central Florida. If you are looking for a filling sandwich with good taste to back up that hugeness, I would definitely check out Fat Shack. I would just recommend getting it for takeout.

For a college centric town this place is good. Deep fried munchies and sandwiches and fair prices. Friendly staff and quick service. Small seating area but we found a spot.

I like the late night/college town concept so this was the 1st time eating here. It felt quite meaty like a sandwich, the cheesesticks and chicken fingers were a tad dry, but it was delicious overall. So was the milkshake (not pictured)

Jersey has come to Orlando!!! Came to Fat shack with high expectations. We've seen the Travel Channel and the grand sandwiches that looks absolutely delicious in the college town in Jersey. I mean chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fries, burgers oh my! What else could a person ask for in a local burger place? The establishment, notorious for the food truck in jersey, is smaller than expected. Maximum capacity is 30 and I couldn't possibly see 30 people being in their at the same time. There are 3 tables so I would not anticipate eating in. Love the self service kiosk, though it only serves 1 customer at a time, its fast, quick and easy. Finding what to order is quite a feat in itself because the menu is plentiful. I opted for the Fat Jersey (cheesesteak, chicken fingers, mozerella sticks, grench fries and honey mustard) and the Cheesecake bites. The food left a whole lot to be desired. Though the Buffalo ranch was very tasty the sandwich was not flavorful at all. The amount of French fries to meat is way off which makes it a very dry bite. I didn't find anything to excited about the sandwich at all. The cheesecake bites were very good. Unfortunately, fat shack did not meet the hype or my expectations and was just okay. I don't think I would be inclined to visit again, but be warned a small is plentiful and a large is ginormous! I think it's a nice addition to the area and maybe taste better late at night than it did during a Saturday lunch.

Whoa, talk about a crazy sandwich!!! This place is crazy. Found it scrolling around on Yelp of course. It was the Sunday before 4th of July and I definitely was cooking anything after hitting a buck of balls at the range. Turns out they've made an appearance on Shark Tank and have been featured on the Travel channel. The location of Fat Shack is in a part of town that I haven't had the pleasure of checking out yet. My trusty GPS took me right there. Not being from Orlando I'm still learning the lay of the land. Turns out this this place is located right near UCF. A brilliant location imo. It's right in the middle of a strip mall that houses other restaurants, a coffee shop, a record store and an escape room. When I walked in I was the only customer in the building. I was greeted by a collage age kid with a holler from the back and he quickly made his way to the front counter. It's not a very big restaurant at all only having seating for about 10-12 or so plus a few outside. Fat Shack offers a wide variety of crazy stuffed sandwiches. Most of them being filled with chicken tenders, also available but not limited to Mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks, bacon, french fries. There is even a vegetarian sandwich if your into that. With sandwich names like The Doobie, Fat Cow, Fat Chance, and Fat Maverick, all boasting a different combination of deliciousness. I decided on a medium sized "The Doobie" at the recommendation of the cashier at the counter, a 9 inch soft baguette style piece of bread stuffed with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and French fries drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce. They have 3 sizes of sandwiches here. Small, regular, and large. The regular was plenty big for me. After I paid I was quoted about 15 min for my food. No problem, I grabbed my drink and they had one of the Star Wars movies playing on the tv. My food was delivered hot and fresh, and I believe it was less than 15 min. The sandwich was wrapped in a white paper and cut in two. It was massive. Next to my sandwich was a huge handful of nicely cooked French fries. I went in for my first bite and whoa! The flavor combinations were out of control. Nice crispy chicken fingers, crispy tender fries, and a nice snap on the mozzarella sticks that also had a nice stretch. And the sweet and sour sauce was great. Just the right amount of sweet and tangy. Definitely not over powering. Being a Sunday and the middle of summer this place wasn't that busy, but that didn't compromise quality of the food. It was hot and fresh. If your going to order to go or order delivery I would expect the bread to be a little soggy. In my opinion this is not a sandwich to eat in the car. It was a tad messy and I definitely went through the napkins. I will definitely be back and look forward to brining my oldest to check it out. Nice work Fat Shack!!

If you are looking for something delicious and don't care about the consequences later then these are the sandwiches you want! I ordered the Fat Chance because it was calling my name; jalapeno poppers, cheesesteak, chicken tenders, french fries and smothered in buffalo ranch sauce. Messy, delicious, bliss of a sandwich. This type of restaurant is perfect for the college student or really anyone who wants a tasty meal. The fried Oreos were also great for dessert.

Do NOT underestimate the size of their Large sandwiches! MASSIVE! I typically don't like fries in my sandwiches as they tend to dry it out, but these guys kill it! SO good! Recommend getting smalls (6") then working your way up.

Looking around after the game, a smash burger sounded like just the thing we needed. Ambiance was nice. Good, chill vibes, a random door to a random next-door bar. Plenty of viable seating for my party of six. Service was pretty ok. The front counter worker was nice enough, but the food took forever to come out. Much longer than I would expect for the products we ordered. The food itself was dynamite. I got the Papi Big Mak (Two Florida-raised beef patties, smashed onions, lettuce, American cheese, sweet-heat pickles, tostone "Middle Bun" , Papi Mak sauce, Sesame Martin Potato Roll). This was a fun thing. The patties had a good crisp to them. The totstone did not, though, so it got a little lost in the bite and chew. Needed more sauce. And that sesame seed bun really helped out a lot, too. A little extra texture in every bite. I was a fan. I also got the chance to try the Umami Papi (Two Florida-raised beef patties, crispy bacon, white cheese, sweet-heat pickles, crispy onion, raspberry jam, Uuuumami truffle sauce, sesame buns). This one was a better topping combination. The pickles had a nice pop of acid, the raspberry jam really stood out, adding a nice sweetness, and the truffle sauce, never thought I needed it on a burger. I did. Standout burger. I also got the Papis Loco Fries. I forget exactly what these fries were topped with, but the cheese, just look at it. Congealed just perfectly. A good side item, for sure. Overall, this greasy meal is out there doing the good work for the people. Maybe this was a four star meal overall, but I'm not sitting, that Umami Papi was a standout for me, and the reason I now give five stars.

Nice, crispy edges on the patties, and I loved how many sesame seeds were on the buns. Great flavor. Cons: The only thing was that they waited for our whole party's order to be ready before calling names, instead of just serving them as they came. This lead to cold burgers. Tips: Make sure you arrive early! If you wait too long, they switch to a smaller, less interesting menu.

To my surprise, I was disappointed by the food. I got the loaded frings and a 5 x 5 burger. I believe the burger is relatively new, since it wasn't on any of the pictures of their menu on Google. Ambiance: The staff was friendly enough and I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the burgers in front of you. However, looking around at the restaurant, it looks like there was no upkeep. There were broken tiles, tables weren't cleaned, and I believe there might have been mold when I was filling my water cup at the ice machine, like visibly on the spout. Food: Loaded frings- I'm not sure how you mess this one up, but they somehow did it. The fries were overcooked and the bacon was fried to hell. I think you can actually see how burnt the bacon was in the pictures. It tasted like charcoal. Lastly, the fries were completely soaked in cheese sauce, which I'm guessing was from a can. It tasted like the cheese you'd have at state fairs, except more watery. There was more sauce than fries and onion rings! I should have taken a picture after eating half of the fries. I could not eat the bottom half of the frings because it was all soggy Burger- the same cooked-to-hell bacon was used on the burger. Not much else need to say about that. Looking at the picture of the burger, you'd think that the patties were way overcooked as well. That was not entirely the case. The patties weren't extra dry, but they weren't as juicy as I would have liked a burger to be. I'd say it was just okay. Maybe a half step below average. I really wanted to like this place, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure if I came by on an odd day, because the reviews say otherwise. I really hope management can fix these issues.

Now this review has nothing to do with that my father's name was Freddy and that my mother's favorite treat was frozen custard. But those little tidbits of information don't hurt. The warm feeling that I get when I eat frozen custard reminiscent of enjoying it on the boardwalk with my mom is renewed at Freddy's not because of the ambience of the restaurant, but because of that same delicious taste that my mind still seems to remember from long ago that I have not found anywhere else before this. But I digress. Freddy's may look like your typical fast food restaurant, but it is anything but. I already loved it for the burgers, the french fries with their wonderful sauce, and of course, the custard but now they have a salad as well. Really fresh greens with my favorite burger on top as a garnish. Low-carb great taste and totally filling. But not so filling as to not leave room for that wonderful custard. On this particular visit, I did run into an issue which I will not lower my rating because of, but want people aware of so it does not happen to them. If you have a coupon for a discounted custard, and they ring in any other item after that, it will restore the custard to the full price on their register. I did not notice that and paid the full price. The manager did give me a card for a free custard next visit so they certainly took responsibility but just wanted people aware to keep an eye on that. In defense of the staff, I don't think they noticed either that it had occurred, so I did not allow that to detract from my impression of five star service from their pleasant, friendly and attentive staff Of course the custard is a star. It comes in all sorts of different ways to serve it. I tend to usually be a purist indeed, as a soft serve, but sometimes their specials are so exciting that I cannot resist. I have never tasted any of them that I did not find awesome. Their steakburgers should not be left as an afterthought. These are not like other fast food burgers; the meat is actually very tasty and because there's not any "proprietary" seasonings on it I even order an extra one so that I can sit outside with my puppy and she can enjoy it. It is small enough to not be unhealthy for her and big enough to be a satisfying snack. Its fat content does not make her ill like the typical fast food burger would. I personally like the fries and find the sauces to be quite good. Prices are more than reasonable and they have hours that make them convenient whenever you're hungry or craving that custard fix. I am a Freddy's fan and wish they would open one closer to where I live in Miami.

The resturant inside was very clean, and the employees working behind the counter were very nonchalant. I ended up ordering their grilled chicken sandwich combo with their famous skinny fries. My mom got the Freddy's Original double combo with a Turtle milkshake and onion rings. The sandwich portion was big. The chicken was very juicy and tasted alright. The fries, however, were not seasoned. I had to get a salt and pepper packet to season them. At that point, they were very good, tasty, and crispy! Overall, the meal was okay. It was nothing spectacular but also nothing terrible either. As for my mom, she wasn't very impressed with her hamburger. She said the portion size was good, but she would describe the hamburger itself as "lacy." She said it was okay, but since it took us 27 minutes to get here, she said Culver's was better in quality and closer. She was underwhelmed by the onion rings. She said it was more of the fried breading and barely any onion inside. However, she did enjoy her milkshake, but struggled to suck it up through the straw. It was enjoyable to try a new establishment, but it was just a mid experience for me.
