I've been coming to firehouse for a long time. Their Italian sub has always been my go to. The food is good and they usually have a special if you have an account with them. The pickle is the perfect touch. I honestly am not the biggest fan of pickles but these are an exception. The service was quick and easy to order pick up through the app. The location is similar to their other locations with a few tables inside. I hope they would bring back the garlic bread for their meatball sub, it was my husbands favorite. Overall, it's a good hot sub shop. read more

Walk-In ToGo Order Service: the young ladies taking orders and preparing the subs seem to all be very good at multitasking. They were attentive, helpful, and happy spirited. Their comments expressed a sense of sincere care for their customers. Environment: they have some great decor and artwork that compliments their mission. The drink station was well stocked and clean. The seating area was also very clean, but their trash area could use more sanitary measures. They have a big TV for waiting or entertainment. Food: we ordered the Hook & Ladder and the Firehouse Hero--both of the subs were delicious and refreshing. They do a great job at stuffing the subs without overflowing. COVID-19 Procedures: they had a sign on the front doors stating their occupancy limit, signs on the floor for 6-feet distancing, and all of the employees were wearing masks. read more

5 stars to this Firehouse for the fantastic service and always friendly employees. They go out of their way to make the customer happy. The last time I went just to use a free sub coupon, so I didn't pay for anything, yet the employee making the sub went out of his way to ask my boyfriend and I if we'd like it cut and half and plated separately since we were sharing, and if we'd like an extra pickle. My favorite item right now is the Cajun chicken sub. It has a slight spicy kick, cherry peppers, just the right amount of shredded lettuce, and the chicken tastes fresh. It doesn't feel like the chicken was packed in plastic and microwaved right before I ate it, as it feels at other sub shops (even if it was). And, you can get it for under $6.50 with tax. If you work nearby, it's a great place to stop in and grab a quick lunch. Oh, and if you've never been to a firehouse subs, don't miss the awesome hot sauce bar! read more

I ordered the medium Engineer sub featuring smoked turkey breast, melted Swiss, and sautéed mushrooms. I had the combo that includes chips and a medium drink. The reason I am giving Firehouse three stars is because of the Freestyle Coca-Cola Machine. You get 100+ drink choices via a touch screen machine. It is so cool! I mixed Sprite Zero Grape with Sprite Zero Vanilla because I am immature kid at heart. It tasted more like carbonation than grape or vanilla flavors, but it was pretty good. OK, back to the sub. By the time I got back to my desk it was all soggy. I requested lettuce and tomato so maybe that had something to do with the extra moisture in the bread, I don't know. Haven't been to Firehouse in a good minute. I usually default to Publix or Jeresy Mike's for subs, but the next time I am in the mood for a hot sub I'll for sure come back to Firehouse. There's a wide variety of subs to choose from. Most are your standard subs with turkey, ham, or roast beef. If you're a UCF student, there are always a bunch of coupons available to get free chips and a free drink with any size sub (check the newspaper's coupon books, or off-campus apartment's coupon stacks). I personally love Firehouse's Hook & Ladder sub -- honey ham, smoked turkey, monterey jack cheese, and all the fixing you want. With a medium sub and a coupon, you can get a meal for under 6 bucks that tastes a lot better than Subway in my opinion. read more

I have never lived near a Firehouse and they do not exists everywhere so I will go against my rule of rating chains. This is a welcome break from Quiznos and Subways because everything seems fresher and more manly. Subs with three different kinds of meat and a bar of various hot sauces is right up my alley. I had the turkey bacon ranch which was excellent when I added their house hot sauce. It was really more like a spicy barbecue sauce but was perfect for the sub. I recommend this place as an upgrade to eating the microwaved stuff at the other sub places. You will have to pay slightly more, but it is worth it. read more

Not the biggest fan of firehouse, but stopped by for a free birthday sub. All you have to do is show your id on your birthday and receive a free sub. Had a special birthday this year and decided to stop by places that offer free birthday deals. The employees were nice and we were in and out of there pretty fast. Just not my favorite place for subs. But my kids liked the Italian meat on the Firehouse sub more than Jersey Mikes, they liked the bread better at Jersey Mikes. 4 stars for the free birthday deal. read more

Good subs, eh prices, Freestyle Coke machine!!! I do enjoy the steamed thing they do. It definitely doesn't dry the sandwich like places that just throw it in the micro or even in an oven. The hot sauce choices are a nice touch. However, that Coke machine is the bomb! SO many choices, so little time. I'm buying one as soon as I hit the lotto. Not only are the flavor options incredible, but the entertainment provided by those who've never used it before is a treat. Parking is challenging during the lunch rush. It's not as bad in the summer but during fall and spring it's a mess. Their prices are definitely high. $10 for a medium sub, chips and drink (even if it comes from that machine) is just too much. The manager is so rude at this location. He kept complaining and saying that all employees need to "thumbs down" to an uber eats driver because he didn't have a thermal bag for the food. Not only was he obnoxious about this and kept yelling it out, but I want to add that uber does not always have these bags available for their drivers!!! The driver could have also had the bag in the car and didn't feel the need to bring it out with him. This manager was so busy complaining about an uber wats person that he got my order wrong. read more

This place is the worst sub place in the UCF area. My problem isn't particularly with the taste of the sub but within the amount of meat that they put on your sub. The taste of the subs here aren't great but they aren't horrible I would just say for the taste that they are average. My issue is that they put very little meat on your sub. I got a large Italian the first time I went and within thirty minutes after eating this sub I was starving. The next time I went I thought maybe it was just the sub so I got a large cheesesteak, same thing very little meat and I was hungry within thirty minutes after eating it. So me being a poor college student this place is very disappointing. It's not worth the money considering I have to spend more money to go get more food thirty minutes after eating here. read more
