Mmmm ~ burgers! It's not my first time at a Shake Shack. It's always the place that gets recommended by my family when I talk about burger places. I can't deny that they make good burgers. Fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked juicy patties neatly presented between soft, fluffy buns. So good that there's no stopping at one bite. I will say, though, I wished their burgers were bigger. The quality is good, but compared to other competitors, the price is a little steep. OK! First of all, this place is super clean inside from what I can see! They keep it very tidy, and although the employees are not super friendly, they are not rude either. You walk in and you order your food at the kiosk, make sure you check for your phone number for any Rewards! I got the double today and added my toppings, I love how easy it was to customize on the kiosk. I did get the Parmesan fries, which I could've done without, I would've just gotten the plain ones, there wasn't anything fancy to it in the aïoli that they gave on the side was very lemony. But the burger was a 10! It was absolutely amazing and so Tasty! The only downfall is that it took about 23 minutes for us to get our food. Shake Shack makes the prices at Five Guys seem like the Wendy's value menu. With that being said, they make some pretty good food. I went here specifically for the French Onion Soup Burger and it was pretty dang tasty. However, it was over $15 for the double and that's just crazy. If I wanted Fries and a Drink I'm probably looking at $25 for a fast casual joint which is ridiculous. I like Shake Shack for their food and how they do business. I must say this location was a little bit different. Generally, shake shack does not "do" tips there is no cashier. Everything is done via self check out at a kiosk and it automatically ask for a tip. I thought this was odd, but times change. The prices are on the higher side with 11 bucks for a burger and then four for fries and three for a drink, but it is tasty. I did note while it wasn't super busy. I will preface by saying that I'm already a big fan of Shake Shack. I'm not familiar with the area, but this location is quite busy (especially on the weekend when we visited). So parking was a bit tricky, but we were able to find a spot. I ordered the Veggie Shack, french fries, and a seasonal drink. (The mango passion lemonade) The food didn't take too long to come out, and it was hot and fresh when they brought it to our table. Service here is great and the staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the restrooms were trashed when I visited. They were very busy like I said, so maybe the staff hadn't had a chance to attend to them. Or maybe they're understaffed and don't prioritize cleaning them regularly, I don't know. They encourage you to order at these kiosk/computer looking things as soon as you walk in. Some people might prefer that but I don't, so I suppose it's just a pet peeve of mine. The app is very easy to use, and usually has exclusive deals. A few times I've ordered in when I go, but usually is using the apps or the kiosks. The place so far has been cleaned and spacious. I love their house - shack burger - only one patty is good for me, and Iget their special cookies and cream, and or the strawberry shakes. They do have seasonal shakes last time I got a cookie dough and sprinkle christmas shake. Our first time visiting this Shake Shack location (RIP Toojay's). You order via touch screen, which is fine. No issues with it, and it was relatively speedy to get our food. Service was good. Re-filled our drinks without issue. Food was fine, I'd come here for a burger over paying the same price for something at Wendy's or McDonalds. I will say, it's hard to see all the empty space. There's a lot. It's really strange and I'm not certain why it's something that sticks in my head. I just wonder if they could have done more with the space in some capacity. Shake shack is almost a self-service restaurant but not quite there yet. You have to place your own order on the touch screen. I hate the system because every store is different and I have to learn how to be an employee every single store I want to eat at. All I want to do is add-on a whole bunch of crack to the burger so that way it's a ridiculous picture worthy mile high burger and I can't figure out how to do it on the computer I need help. Once you place your order you pick up a number and go sit at your table. Shortly after somebody walks out with a tray and your food ready to go. The burgers at shake shack are all smash burger style. There's actually good. If you get the regular basic one it's like 6.99, In this economy they must be out of their mind! It's really good but I'm not gonna try to come here every time I'm in this area knowing that a shake shack is this close to the 4D movie theater experience. The restaurant is always clean but with the open platform it is kind of loud inside a lot of echoes from all the tables around you. I was so excited when I heard there is now a shake shack in Waterford lakes. I have visited the Winter Park location a few times and it has been excellent but the parking was a mess. Parking at this Waterford location was easy and the restaurant was very clean. I ordered on the app and my order was ready very quickly. I had the chicken sandwich, a hot dog and the fifty fifty lemonade iced tea. The drink was excellent. My issue with my meal was that both the chicken sandwich and the hot dog were both served on cold hard buns. Inside looks nice and new. There are four self-serving kiosks. Depending on how many people are there and the same time you are, you can have a little bit of wait to order your food. We didn't really interact with any of the employees besides the one who brought us our order, so I can't really say much about an employee experience. Overall, for the price I don't really think the food here is worth it. The chicken sandwich had a lot of breading on it and was relatively small in size. It was tall but not big around. I'm not a fan of crinkle fries so I didn't order those. The milkshake was nice it tasted like vanilla ice cream. My husband and youngest both got the burgers and they do give an option to have it well done. However, that's probably the safest way to order it. Neither one of them ordered it well done and both of their burgers were pretty pink inside and they both ended up having upset stomachs within 30 minutes of eating it. I'm the only one who didn't get an upset stomach and I did not eat the burgers. For a burger place you would think that the burgers would be the shining stars. Proceed with caution. My family (party of three) visited this location around 11 p.m. to grab a late bite Yesterday night. From the moment we walked in, the energy and atmosphere felt chaotic and unwelcoming. After placing our order through the kiosk, we waited over 20 minutes with no updates or confirmation. When we inquired, the staff claimed there was no record of our order. We reordered, received a confirmation text, and continued to wait. At that point, a staff member who identified herself as the manager approached our table in an extremely confrontational and unprofessional manner. Instead of calmly helping to resolve the issue, she immediately became defensive, argumentative, and loud... completely disregarding basic customer service standards. She raised her voice, refused to assist us, and made inappropriate comments in front of other customers and my family. This behavior was unacceptable and does not align with the Shake Shack brand or the level of professionalism expected from a manager. The situation escalated unnecessarily due to her tone and attitude, leaving my family uncomfortable and embarrassed in a public setting. As someone who visits and reviews Shake Shack locations frequently, I can confidently say this experience was far below company standards. I strongly recommend that upper management and HR review this incident thoroughly, as this individual's conduct reflects poorly on the entire franchise. I was not impressed. It was very loud in the restaurant. High open ceiling and wood seating. I ordered just a bacon cheeseburger to go. It took a bit too long to get it in my opinion. It was also almost $13 for a small burger. Not worth the money. The meat was bland and not very well seasoned. The two patties were adequate and there was a good amount of cheese. The pickles were good. The main issue was that there was no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. Unfortunately I had already left when I discovered the omission and I didn't want to drive all the way back to have them fix it. There are plenty of sit down restaurants in the area that will give you a good burger, made correctly and fries and sometimes a drink for around the price I paid for the burger alone.
