I used AAA for a battery replacement Sunday afternoon and the tech unknowingly broke a connector to my radiator but pointed it out after finishing the battery replacement. His supervisor, Tyler said to bring the car by their shop the following morning to have their mechanic see about a repair. The mechanic deemed it unrepairable and ordered a new radiator. They were able to replace it the same day. I am very pleased at how Tyler handled the situation and was very prompt in getting the repair done!! read more

Let me just say this horrible day turned into a great experience. Thanks to Ashley we felt safe, relieved and taken care of. I really appreciated the quick tow of our van and for him taking my mom and I home. We were really stressed out and he kept conversation with us the whole way(1hour drive). I called AAA to get a battery jump or a new battery. A young man by the name of Jordan showed up. He yelled from the time he got to my home to the time he left. He broke the screws that hold down the casing to the inside of my battery. This young man showed up angry. It was obvious he did not want to be at work. I made a call the AAA and also Cupertino dispatch to let them know that he should not be at work going to peoples home with this awful attitude. He actually called my car trash. A behavior as such should not be in a profession where you have to provide customer service. Most ridiculous tow company. We called for a price and gave the exact address from A to B. We were quoted $80 and told 30 min. We waited a little over an hour(we are logical an understand it takes some time). We finally called to get another E.T.A and we were informed that she didnt get our address right. So the whole instead of giving some kind of courtesy call we were not told anything and just left waiting for this tow that would have never came. We finally got the address right after repeating several times to some girl and then a man. We asked for at least a discount since it would still be awhile for a tow and they told us no. DON'T LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR! They "jumped" my car late at night and told me it was the starter. I had to fork out $80 to have the car towed. Today, I had planned to have the car towed to the repair shop but this particular tow truck driver insisted it was the battery. I told him "no, it's the starter" per two other tow truck drivers from Cupertino Tow. But, I allowed this guy this morning to try anyway. It started right up! I demanded Cupertino Tow reimburse me for a tow of $80 when I could have driven it home had it been jumped properly. I also had to rent a car over the weekend between the tow and getting it to the shop. They refused to reimburse me for the $80 and the car rental. Kyle from Cupertino tow said they are not mechanics and they will not reimburse me for the $80 or the car rental. I'm taking it to the next level. I broke down :-( Luckily I had AAA :-) Within 5 minutes of my intial with AAA I got another call from this towing company saying it would be 15-20 mins. The man on the phone was great, informative and cheerful. Within 10 minutes I was talking with Joe about my car. This tow service had Joe come out and help get my car started, it did. But he recommended the tow as the problem would come again and he hated the thought of a girl alone on the freeway waiting for help. He was super cheerful on a freezing early morning and was a real pleasure and comfort. The next guy who came with the big flat bed to tow my car back home was also great. He was cheerful, engaging, nice and just gave me my space when it was clear I just wanted to be quiet on the 2 hour ride home. He put my car in the front of the house gently and exactly how I wanted. When they showed up at the accident place, they said we charge only for the stay of the vehicle $55 per day and there is no cost for the towing but they still charged us $260. We were told that the owner is required one time to sign to release the vehicle. So I went to sign the release agreement when the insurance company went there to pick up the vehicle, they still didn't released the vehicle. My clutch died out in the middle of a route, Roadside towed me back to my house. The next day I called for a tow to an auto shop that offered do get it done just a couple hundred under the dealer, which was only if I did all cash. When I was telling the tow driver about it , he mentioned he could call their shop and see what they could do for me. They quoted me 40% under dealers quote, and they didn't care cash credit - it was perfect. Rodney took great care of me, kept in contact with me and when I went to pick it up he took his time to let me check it, drive it around and it was great. The clutch was better than the factory one and it was even less than he quoted me. So they beat the price, they still found me a better price even though the deal was set. Three days ago I locked my keys in my car. I called AAA and they sent out a Cupertino Tow driver. The young gentleman was very nice and got my keys out successfully with no damage to my car. This morning my car wouldnt start so again i called AAA and another Cupertino Tow driver was sent out. This was by far the best tow truck service I have ever had! (and i used to have to call tow trucks all the time). My tow truck drivers name is Wil W. He was friendly and went out of his way to ensure my car was in great working condition before he left. Even though it was just a battery change he checked my alternator and ran tests to see if my battery was being drained for another reason. I have never had this good of service before. This post is actually for my husband. As I was driving home from work, my truck's alternator failed and my battery couldn't keep it going any further. It was dead 12 miles from my house. The first AAA gentleman I spoke to reminded me that my current level of membership only covered the first 5 miles, and that the towing company would charge me $12/mile for the remaining 7 miles for a total of $84. I'm beginning to question AAA as an 'insurance' policy at this point; I've been a loyal customer since 1997 and have only called them twice before... When I asked if there was any way they would wave this one instance, given my highly infrequent use of their service, I was told that only a supervisor could do that, and that he would be happy to transfer me. The next AAA representative whom I thought was a supervisor was not, and I only figured it out after she asked me the same barrage of questions the original gentleman asked. She then offered to, once again, transfer me to a supervisor... ... person #3 answers. "Supervisor? nope, he's down the hall helping somebody else. 5- 10 minutes please while I get all of your information" (again) ...5 minutes later, person #3 tells me the supervisor has agreed to waive my extra 7 miles, no charge. Fantastic! About 30 minutes later, Bruce from Cupertino Towing shows up with his flatbed. When I confirm for him that I need to be towed 12 miles, he reminds me that only the first 5 are free. Really? After my already very bad day, and my truck breaking down on my way home, and having to have dealt with 3 representatives at AAA and having thought this was squared away, I'm still at square one? Really? Bruce explains that AAA makes this kind of mistake often, misquoting what the towing company will or will not do, it's not AAA's right to dictate Cupertino Towing's policy, and if AAA wants to waive a fee, their heads would have to direct it down through Cupertino Towing's heads. As calm as I can, I explain my dilemma to Bruce, and that I'm not keen to pay anything. If worse came to worst, I would deal with the situation a completely different way, getting a new alternator and installing it on the side of the road if I had to, there was just no sense in me paying for what I believed was owed to me (based on the AAA supervisor's waiving of the fee). I called AAA back one last time while Bruce called his dispatch to see if there was anything he could do from his end. The 4th AAA representative seemed to be making progress with actually reaching a supervisor, but not before Bruce came back and told me to hang up, Cupertino towing would eat the extra 7 miles to keep the 3-way relationship going. I wish I had the man's name that approved that measure, Bruce pointed it out to me at one time, because without it, AAA would have one less member. To Bruce's supervisor, you 'da man! Please note, I don't believe it is in the best interest of any company to have to eat the mistakes of another, and I believe AAA is probably taking advantage of Cupertino's overly-excellent customer service, but that's what Yelp is for, to give credit where it is due. I asked the towing company to tell me the condition of my stolen vehicle before i pay the fee to get it back. They told me there was nothing wrong with it, so i paid the fee (pricey fee). When i got my motorcycle back, it was totaled and inoperable. The towing company tricked me into spending my money for a piece of crap motorcycle stolen 3 months ago. The thief obviously broke the motorcycle. I am super disappointed at the towing company for tricking me like that. If i knew the motorcycle was already totally broken, i would have just left it there to rot. They don't give a damn about their customers' satisfaction. They just want to profit. Just had out car towed 50 miles on a Friday night at 10p.m. Our driver, Kris #46, was polite, professional & punctual! He treated our car like it was a brand new Jaguar (it isn't, it's a 20 year old roadster). He safely loaded it onto the flatbed & we were in the road in 15 minutes. We followed him to our destination & he was the most courteous tow driver I have seen in a while. Used turn signals, never sped, even reviewed with us the best route since he wasn't familiar with our drop off. Once we arrived, he made sure I was okay driving & parking the car.
