I came here with a friend and I just wanted a snack so I got the kids size one for $3.99 and added a dumpling. I also requested to have noodles instead of the rice and picked beef as my protein. I really like this a lot . It was slightly sweet. And I love the noodles. It was just a bit too saucy since I had noodles instead of rice which could have soaked up the sauce. I think this will be a great place if you just want some fast food that wasn't fried. The staff was very sweet and hilarious. I was waiting for a friend so I really appreciate that they had a waiting bench at the front. The tables and chairs was clean, nice and neat. At the cashier's, there are some treats in suites that you can open and grab while you order your meal. Soda drinks are self serve. Parking is free out front, but it is at the base of a long bridge along highway six. If you're coming from the south side on Highway six you'll want to be driving on the bridge. If you're coming from the north side on Highway six if you get on the bridge, you went too far.

Cupbop 2 proteins (Katsu chicken, and fried chicken pictured), cabbage, glass noodles, and white rice topped with mayo and hot sauce.

Solid new lunch spot for fast casual Korean food in a bowl. Options include a variety of proteins served atop a bed of cabbage, glass noodles and/or white rice. Service was very friendly. Nothing fancy, but overall pretty satisfied if I'm in the area for lunch.

Let them know you're a first timer and they'll cheer for you lol The waitress Pamela was extremely helpful. The food was amazing and it was a great portion to eat. My spice level was 5 medium and it was perfect because it had flavor and a bite for me. My husband not so much. I will say they have a good amount of seating in here. Great stop!

Saw the grand opening sign and pulled in. Located on 1960 across the street from Walmart and Kroger. The place was very inviting and the staff was happy to see all the guest. Being that it was the grand opening weekend they offered free wings with each purchase. I ordered a bowl with chicken and beef, I also opted for no noodles. The portion size was perfect and the food was tasty for sure. This is a new stop in my rotation.

I just wanted to add to my previous review because my six year old told me something funny after I ate at cupbop... she said mommy, when we left cupbop the employees said see you tomorrow but they wont because their food is nasty

Unsure why it's $11 for this and this is all the meat you get with your meal . This isn't even the kids cupbop btw, it's the regular one. Ask for extra protein and they wanna charge you an additional $3. Asked the people at the counter and they said this is the standard serving. Food isn't that good enough to be doing this and you can find better places that give you your moneys worth.

Seventy five percent noodles for bites of chicken and a bunch of carrots

Ok, i've been excited to eat at this place.I have ordered at least five times. I've only been happy once. I purchased a bowl asking for half cabbage and half noodles. I paid extra for extra meat and I literally got four bite sized pieces of meat. The mixed vegetables that are in the picture don't exist. It's all carrots and one small little piece of broccoli. The flavor's good, but it's not worth $13 for 70% noodles, 20% carrots, 1% cabbage and 9% meat when I paid an extra three dollars for extra meat

Saw these folks on Shark Tank. We like the vibes, but the foods were definitely too simplistic and very fast food style..

So I definitely need to come back to try the soondubu (silken tofu stew), but I had a mean craving…read morefor naengmyun and they do a rare half & half of both the spicy sauce and cold broth versions. I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

They make their tofu in-house, and you can really taste the difference. The soup is rich, comforting, and flavorful without tasting overloaded with MSG. It's the kind of meal that just warms your soul. We also ordered the cheese tonkatsu, and my husband got the seolleongtang. We normally aren't fans of cheese tonkatsu--in fact, we didn't even realize it had cheese in it when we ordered it--but wow... it was actually so good. Definitely a pleasant surprise. My husband's seolleongtang was amazing too. The banchan was fresh and well-prepared, and every dish we had was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect. The ladies working there were incredibly kind and even brought my husband extra noodles for his soup without us asking. That small gesture really made our experience even more memorable. Thank you so much! There's a decent amount of parking, but dinner time gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend arriving early since it's not a very large restaurant. 10/10. This is definitely one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Houston, and we'll absolutely be back.

This is probably one of our favorite Korean BBQ spots in Houston…read more It's all-you-can-eat and even includes sushi and sashimi. Personally, I haven't tried those because Korean BBQ and sushi together just feels a little odd to me. I grew up in LA where we usually went to separate places for each, but I'm sure plenty of people enjoy having both options. The meat quality is really good, and everything is well-seasoned and flavorful. My only complaint is the soups--they don't really taste like the traditional Korean soups they're supposed to be. They could definitely use some improvement. That said, other side dishes like the tteokbokki are actually really good. For the price, it's an excellent value. The service is usually good, although it can be a little inconsistent depending on your server. One thing I really like is that they include dessert, such as Korean ice cream bars, regular ice cream, and other sweet treats. We've been here several times already and definitely plan on coming back. There's also a huge parking lot, and the area has plenty of cafés and other places to visit afterward, which makes it a great spot for a meal and a day out.

That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

This spot is located in a small plaza next to a busy trampoline park, and inside, it's very clean and well maintained. Each table has a menu of the offerings WITH pictures (so you don't have to scour Yelp like I usually do for pictures....). The waitresses come by to help answer any questions if you have any. To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken. Would suggest an appetizer as well if you want to stay full. This location does not have unlimited pickled radishes like the Spring Branch location. All in all, I really liked the food - I'll only really come back here for the noodle soup, but that's enough for me since they specialize in both the jjamppong and jiajangmyeon.

The marinade was well done on the short ribs. **banchan- my favorite was the pickled radish and cabbage kimchi. Not a lot of variety compared to other places, but each dish was done very well. I didn't really care for the potato salad. * doenjang/soybean soup: maybe it's just me, but it was very salty. Not my top choice of soup regardless. **kimchi-jjigae : very solid kimchi stew. The meat had a mushy texture and was not enjoyable to eat. One downside was that there were quite a few flies inside the restaurant, which became pretty annoying during our meal.
