Such sweet staff, wonderful lattes, and lots of food at the new location. Great addition to dairy market that's open nice and early.

The coffee was really good, but I would not come back for pastries. We each got a blueberry danish, but they didn't have any flavor to them at all. I had saved it for about halfway back to Indy when we stopped for gas and it was lackluster. We each had a hot caramel macchiato and loved those. The inside was eclectic and bustling. The decor was really cutesy and they have a full bar. Service was very slow, but friendly. It looks like such a fun spot to meet up for cocktails or a boozy coffee, so I would love to come back if we are in Charlottesville in the future. There was also a nice mix of people there- older ladies having drinks, middle aged couples getting snacks and drinks, and groups of younger college aged kids getting coffee and studying.

I really want to like this place but do feel it misses the mark. It seems to not be sure of what…read moreit's identity is from wide range food and drink offerings to an aesthetic that does not match the quality of food/drink. We ordered a regular coffee and a latte. My large coffee with room from creamer was only 3/4 full and the quality was just okay. The $6 latte was nothing special. The biscoff bun was delicious. And the carrot cake muffin was heavy, dense, and cold. Inside setting is wonderful. Ample seating, diverse offerings and an open feel - it serves the space well. Parking is limited on the side with difficult alternative arrangement options. I think in time a uniform feel is possible but some quality control is necessary.

This restaurant is clearly formerly a small home, given how it has so many small rooms set up like bedrooms, hallways, narrow stairs, and living rooms with six-pane windows. Plenty of mason jars and small flowers spread on each table. The food exceeded my expectations. The coffee and espresso were made by a skilled barista who steams great milk and can tell apart a cortado, latte, and flat white. My sweet potato hash was very tender, salted to perfection, and matched with a good amount of turkey sausage they managed to present piping hot but not dried out. My companion's smoked salmon and poached egg easily split under a fork and coated the plate in delightful yolk. Sensibly prepared. Nothing dry or cold. I found the entrance quite difficult to locate when coming from the Oakhurst Inn, probably a consequence of how the property is laid out with so many cabins and houses on the grounds. If you can manage the maze of stairs and paths, you'll find a charming cafe across from a new housing development. Definitely come here if you want good espresso or an appetizing breakfast.

Make a reservation, but there's also a little grab and go spot right when you walk in. Breakfast cocktails were yummy! I didn't feel guilty having a chocolate espresso martini for breakfast:) Bananas Foster Beignets was ridiculous! Benedict options were so unique. I recommend asking questions to make sure you're getting what you want. Hindsight I would have added protein to the green tomato Benedict. We also got a bowl that was much more like a salad and not like a hearty bowl. All were delicious, just not what was expected. We would return for sure!

The atmosphere being in an old house is cool. Our server was very overwhelmed and had a trainee. We got waters and looked over the menu. I first ordered the green tomatoes app. Later into service... wife ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and fruit, I had the Crab Benedict My daughter breakfast tacos. The app came out quickly..great! The mains came out around 30+ minutes. A bit long imo. Overall food was good, not great. Most disappointing was the tomatoes that lacked flavor. The crab Bennie was pricey and fell flat. My wife and daughter both enjoy their dishes, but eggs were somewhat dry. Coffee was very good. It's a beautiful place with outdoor option. But the food is over hyped and pricey. The service was rushed. I still will go back. 3.5 rounding up for atmosphere.
