The tea drinks honestly aren't bad here. It's the terrible customer service every time with some of these boba businesses. I ordered an $8-9 coffee milk tea with creme brûlée and oreo. It's my first time there and I missed the large option which is my mistake. Got like a small 12-16 oz cup. I asked if I could pay to get it as a large drink and the manager couldn't comprehend that all she had to do was void the transaction and I'd ring up the new drink and tip the baristas for the inconvenience. I'm not trying to make a service worker feel bad but it's on management to not be so stingy on just helping a customer. For $8-9 it did not feel worth the money and genuinely the customer service with some of these Asian boba shops are atrocious compared to the ones in Richmond like even Tsaocaa or Zen Cafe or in Nova like Teas N You I've been to owned by competent owners and workers that aren't incompetent. Edit: I've also worked in a boba restaurant before so I know how management can be and it's just poor business practice to screw over your customers. read more

Walking in here made for a bit of a wait as they were busy, but I wanted to look at the mochi donuts they had (unlike other Moge Tea locations I've been to) before ordering one. Having placed my order and received my tea, I had to wait a bit more and ask them to actually give me the donut I had paid for. I found one I liked, which was a version of mint chip with a chocolate glaze and peppermint chips. It was nice. My fruit tea was fine-had plenty of actual fruit-but having to pick out the inedible portions to get at the edible fruits (as well as the popping boba I added) is a bit of a nuisance. These shops seem popular in college towns and it was not the best experience of any Moge I have been to, but is an interesting, expensive treat. read more

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, I visited your boba tea shop with my toddler son, as we have many times before as loyal repeat customers. We visit your store almost every Friday and have spend hundreds, if not up to over a thousand dollar at your store over the past few years. During our visit this time, my 5 year old son needed to use the restroom, and as we were leaving it, the employee at the counter abruptly and rudely demanded to know whether we were going to purchase anything. I replied that we were and stood in line at the kiosk to place our order. Despite this, she singled me out again, telling me to "come to this line to buy," implying that I had no intention of paying. When I addressed her rude behavior, she denied it and began speaking in Chinese to another employee, making inappropriate remarks such as, "These weird people were never going to pay anyway," and, "They should be grateful for us." This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I am a disabled Army veteran who recently returned from another overseas tour, and her condescending and dismissive attitude was not only disrespectful but also deeply upsetting. As a long-time customer who has supported your business, I found this treatment both hurtful and disappointing. I hope this matter is addressed promptly so that no other customer has to experience such behavior in the future. read more

To start off, the exterior of Moge Tea is very cute. It's tucked in on the UVA corner amongst many shops but it really does stand out as the new business on grounds. I also thought the inside was extremely clean and looked like the instagram aesthetic with neon lights in the front white wall. The staff was great and friendly and there were iPads that I presume were for ordering or maybe just looking at the menu. The drink options they had were very unique and classy in a fun way. Apparently the brown sugar is super popular so I tried that in a large size. Kind of pricey but the drink was so cute and they put a little heart in the lid. Also the flavor was perfect and I wouldn't change anything about the drink. It definitely quenched my thirst. Next time I come back I really want to try the Crème Brûlée flavor!!! read more

The drinks are really good here! I got the mango slush, and it was pretty good. I liked how it tasted really fresh and it wasn't too sweet. The only complaint I have about it is there were a lot of fibrous mango strands in it, which I suppose is a good thing since it means that it was probably made from actual mangos. Last time I went, I got the mango bubble milk, and it was so good! It was really rich and creamy, and the boba was a nice texture. I think it might have been even better than the mango slush. The shop itself is really cute, and I would imagine it is a good place to study. I would definitely come back here, and I would recommend it if you are looking for a good boba shop! read more

I really like Möge Tea and so far it's the best boba milk tea I've found in Charlottesville and my boyfriend agrees. The inside of the store is super cute. There is plenty of places to sit. The aesthetic is mostly white with mixed materials (concrete, stone, etc) with green plants. So it's really cute/aesthetic. It is also SUPER clean! You can order at the kiosks at the counter or save a few cents and order directly from an attendee. We picked the kiosk so we could take our time and customize the drinks without annoying a worker. The workers all seem nice though so I'm sure they wouldn't mind. There are tons of customization options and the kiosks are easy to use. Prices are about $7 a drink - very comparable to any other specialty drink place (other boba places, Starbucks, etc). I had the creme brûlée milk tea and subbed oat milk since I am lactose intolerant. They allow you to change the level of sweetness which I really like because often I feel like the teas come too sweet. I did 50% and my boyfriend ordered a earl grey bubble milk tea with regular milk and 100% sweetness. Mine came with some cheese foam on top - this was actually delicious. It's not cheese flavored like Mac and cheese it's just like a mild cream cheese flavor. Very yummy. I was honestly surprised at how good the creme brûlée flavor was it didn't taste artificial and I often encounter that. The sweetness level was perfect - I almost think 100% sugar would've tasted totally fine, they do a good job of not overdoing the sugar for the regular drinks. I tried my boyfriends and it was great. The 100% sugar was sweet but well balanced and the earl grey flavor was so good and delicious - and I hate earl grey flavored drinks most of the time. This was great. Both of the bubbles in our teas were well cooked - many placed in Charlottesville cook boba poorly and Möge teas are so well done. The cups they come in are also really nice, they seem almost like they could be reusable. Whatever material they are I felt fancy drinking out of it :) I don't give 5 stars often but am pretty sure this is the best boba in Charlottesville so this deserves it. read more

Had to try out this new bubble tea since there hasn't been much variety in bubble tea locations in Charlottesville during my time here. The bubble tea here does not taste as artificial compared to other kinds of bubble tea I've had: a light, clean flavor, not overly sweet. All the flavors are very unique, and the cheese that you can add to your drink is also very interesting. Worth a try to see if you like it! Adds a subtle salty (in a good way) flavor to the whole thing. Interior of the place is aesthetic and nice. Lastly, I will say that this bubble tea is on the pricier side. I can't lie, the containers could very well be a contributing factor to the price. The containers are very nice quality, I wouldn't be surprised if people take these containers home to re-use! read more

I think this is my favorite bubble tea on the Corner! They take a bit longer but their stuff is always so fresh. The service is friendly and helpful too. The menus got great variety, from fresh fruit tea slushies to sweet sugary pick me ups. The coolest thing they've got here is absolutely the cheese foam. I was intimidated by it at first and ordered a fruit tea (which, also delicious) and grabbed a sip of my friend's drink. Sweet with a touch of savory, it almost tastes like a cheesecake atop your tea. It's great on everything! Can't recommend it enough, especially the Blueberry Cheese Foam Tea. I also LOVE the fresh fruit slushes, the black grape is perfect on a warm day. The sweet bubble teas are great too, but be prepared for a good amount of sugar especially on drinks like the Oreo Milk Tea and the Creme Brulee Tea. I've really been looking forward to the opening of another bubble tea place near UVA, and Moge Tee is fulfilling expectations! Service there has been great so far and I love the sleek interior. Drinks I've tried: brown sugar milk bubble tea, avocado with cheese foam, grapefruit yakult with lychee jelly, and creme brulee milk tea. Avocado one was yummy and had a great creamy texture, and grapefruit was very refreshing! The brown sugar boba is good too, my only criticism would be that the boba was kind of tough. I LOVE the creme brulee though, it's really creamy and the right amount of sweet. Overall, I'm so happy to have Moge Tea here, definitely recommend! read more

As a UVA alumni, it's been interesting watching the boba shop evolution in Charlottesville: before, Got Dumplings was the only place you could get boba, then Kung Fu Tea opened roughly 3 years ago! Now they have Möge Tee! They are known for fresh and natural ingredients for their unique Chinese traditional teas, perfect for the warm spring weather. We got to try the Mango Tea, Strawberry Tea, and Avocado Tea Smoothie all topped with Cheese Foam, one of their specialties! The drinks were refreshing and floral, the foam was quite interesting adding a salty sweet flavor to the drink, and the boba was chewy and sweet Fair warning, you may see long lines and lots of people! read more

It is like an ice slushy made with real fruits (peach) and legit ingredients, you can definitely taste bits and chunks of peaches in this drink. I love how refreshing it was, and how amazing to have a drink after a long hot day. I got it with 30% sugar level and aloe as my topping. The toppings were also pretty good quality and on the sweeter side, so definitely helps balance out with my 30% sugar level, but I would say go for 75% if you want something sweeter. Totally recommend this place if you are craving for some refreshing fruit tea or high-quality boba milk tea. Ambiance: 4.25/5 - Located at The Corner of UVA. I love the ambiance of this place. Interior is bright, cozy, and clean with plenty of space to sit indoor and outdoor. The white Ikea like furnitures really give it a simple and cute look to this place. I ordered the dahongpao bubble milk tea, which has an oolong base and a "smoother" texture. The drink came with bubbles, which complimented the taste of the tea very well. I'm in the Charlottesville area for my partner's family reunion, and since we arrived a little earlier than the hotel's check in time. We decided to check out downtown Charlottesville, right where the University of Virginia's campus is. I love bubble tea, and I saw that Möge Tee is in the area. We decided to stop in here. The streets are busy, so you're lucky if you get street parking, and there is a garage right around the corner that you can park for $3/hour. Even though we parked for like 10 minutes, there's no parking validation, and no prorated price. This place has everything you can imagine from fruit teas to brown sugar milk tea to cheese foam etc. I went with their bubble milk tea, no sugar no ice, and they were out of pudding. I also love that they have 3 sizes to their drinks, Small Large and Plus. I asked to see what a plus size looked, and for fun, I went with that size. My partner did the Watermelon Yakult drink. The plus size cup is big, a really good quality reusable plastic cup, and since we drove I'll be able to bring it back home. It's unlike anything I've seen before, and I thought it was really unique to this shop. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions, and they even offered us a handheld menu, so we didn't have to keep up with their TV screen that changes every other minute. The drink was not bad, but I think that I've had better. This place and Kung Fu Tea were the only options in Charlottesville, and we decided to support a local business. It was pretty busy at the shop on a Friday afternoon as class is back in session, and a ton of students hang out and study there with their drinks. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for bubble tea and specialty drinks. read more
