    Burrito
    Cassie M.

I just came in for a bite on a Sunday afternoon & this place was packed. Definitely not friendly for large groups, which I was with & most people left for Panera instead, but I wanted to try something more local. I will say I didn't get a drink, which is my mistake and only tried the Daybreak burrito, which was alright at best. Relatively the same price as a chipotle burrito which quite frankly would be tastier & a better value. It lacked flavor & was very dry, better with hot sauce on it but still not good. From what I've heard, I'd stick to their beverages.

Came here with friends on a hot day to cool down and fuel our coffee addictions. The inside of the shop was clean and there were a good number of tables to sit down at. I tried the Iced White Mocha Latte, Iced Raspberry Truffle Latte, and Salted Caramel Nitro Cold Brew. The salted caramel nitro was really good. It tasted great and I would order it again the next time I find myself here. The White Mocha Latte and Raspberry Truffle Latte were decent, but I wouldn't order them again. They were really sweet, and I was not a fan of these two flavors.

not sure if it was because i was hungry but that burrito really cured my morning "sickness". so did the coffee. i ordered the daybreak burrito which comes with scrambled egg, spicy sausage, cholula hot sauce, queso blanco, and cilantro. very nice texture and a great combo with everything between. the egg and the queso helped balance the spice from the sausage and hot sauce. i added more hot sauce that you can grab from the counter at pick up just because and it HITS. this was my first time here about a month ago (end of january), and i was asking for recommendation for coffee. the cashier sounded unconfident but she suggested the white chocolate coffee/mocha?? i forgot. i just needed coffee and it did its job. sweetness was perfect and ice ratio too. didn't ask to alternate anything, although next time i'll ask for almond or soy milk because dairy + more dairy didn't help with the bubble guts. plenty of seating and very nice decor. it was almost vintage/modern ish. felt nostalgic in a way. will be coming back my next UVA visit.

If you are really in need of caffeine, or just a place to sit, you can go here. If you'd like a properly crafted latte from someone who knows how to do it, you will not find that here.

When you take that first sip and everything pauses just for a moment. The work call, the car horns, everything you have to get done on your checklist stops. That's the feeling I get every time I get my grande cappuccino with oat milk from Greenberry. I went here every day for the week I was in the area for a work conference and wish I could bring the business back home. I absolutely love the vibe, service, and the food is good, too! They also graciously offer discounts for military.

Vibes were immaculate. Place was really nice. Lemon poppyseed muffin was good. Service was friendly. The only downside was the matcha was not good. I would not come back for the matcha. They had lots of baked goods that looked delicious. Not a whole lot of parking on a Sunday but you can likely find somewhere to park.

I love this spot! This coffee shop is definitely going to be my "go to" spot in 2022. It's a great place to read, study, or hang out. The seats are comfy and I really enjoy the vibe. The staff is super friendly too, and the coffee is delicious! I got the Cinnamon Vanilla Latte and it was amazing. We also tried Tropical Harmony smoothie and it was sooo tasty. Finally, we got the breakfast sandwiches (we both got the egg, sausage, and cheese). It was really tasty too! I'll definitely be returning here often!!

A solid place to grab a cup of Joe! Would recommend if in Barracks Shopping Mall. I have been at the law school for 3 years, so it is a little bit embarrasing weighing in on Greenberry's so late. But after years of passing the place by, I finally decided to try their coffee out when me and a friend decided to meet there to study. While not the largest coffee place around and a little louder than most, Greenberry's is a staple of the law school and it is in a very convenient location if you study or work on UVAs North Grounds Campus. Inside you will find a seating area that is quite comfortable with leather chairs, although seating is a little cramped given the number of chairs Greenberry's has tried to squeeze in. As for the food and coffee, the menu isn't too different from many of the other coffee places I have visited before. But Greenbery's seems ahead of the game in some of its unique coffee options: one in particular is its Nitro coffee. I tried for my first time on my past visit, and I was really impressed with it. If I visit Barracks again, I will definitely check out Greenberry's again.

Yummy coffee and sandwich shop in the historic Barracks Rd shopping center. Usually good parking within a short walking distance or right outside. You'll find tables outside under the shade or inside which almost has a library feel to its decor. You order at the counter and I ordered a roasted Turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato with Mayo. It didn't look like much but it was so good!! Bacon was nice and crunchy, lettuce was fresh and bread was yummy. Wish it was cut in half but it tasted awesome none the less. No sides with it and it's $10. The staff seemed stressed when I stepped up to order but they must have been having a bad day so I totally understand. Came out quick in a paper bag to go.

Nice spot to grab a drink when at Barracks. Not a place I think about due to it being between buildings and out of sight. Plenty of tables outside to sit. I had my fancy frap because I'd rather have a shake at times (don't hate). They have sandwiches and treats as well. Perfect pick-me-up while shopping (or waiting while the wife is shopping).

They have decent coffee but it was a downer that they didn't have nitro and cold coffee lids.

My croissant tasted as though it was sourced from Costco; it had been heated up, which made it marginally palatable. I asked for a large cappuccino and got a drink that tasted as though a sugary syrup had been added to it. There was a huge volume of milk, which I guess was OK, and a small amount of OK-tasting espresso. The breakfast was convenient enough that I figured I'd go back for a second round the next morning. However, when I arrived at the coffee bar on Day Two, I was told that the person who would be staffing it was "running late" and that the croissants had not yet arrived. The front desk person found it in her heart to pour me some coffee from the huge urn at the coffee bar. I was grateful for the free lobby coffee but headed outside for my official breakfast. Outside was better.

There is a good amount of seating with two large shared-space tables and smaller circular tables, and there is free wifi access. The cafe offers coffee, tea, and draft options. I've only come in for coffee and tea twice and felt that it was overpriced for what you get. They only offer their iced drinks in the large option, and it's probably because the iced drink consists of 8-10 large ice cubes that take up a majority of the space of the cup. The iced chai and hot soy latte tasted good, but were standard. The food was kind of meh - I ordered a biscuit which was barely warmed up. Overall, an okay cafe (probably not my first choice to go to), but it will give you a caffeine fix if you need it.

As usual, I'm looking for the best coffee roaster to go to, and Lone Light Coffee was on the top of my list in this area. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, but it was warm and comfortable. The baristas were nice and three of them gave me their input on which single origin I should choose for my pour-over. POUR-OVER - MKT Price +6.50 for Mohammed Aba Nura - Ethiopia (tasting notes: Strawberry, white chocolate, hazelnut) I wanted the craziest tasting option they had, and they recommended this one since it's pretty popular and well-liked among customers. However, one of the barista said he didn't really like it himself. I figured I should still try it. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting. I should have listened to that one barista and went with a different single origin option. Overall, good roaster -- just unfortunate that I tried something that wasn't for me. The baristas seem knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. I would love to come back next time and try another single origin offering.
