I'm here visiting for a few days and stumbled across Mudhouse Coffee Roasters. Never thought I'd find a Panamanian Geisha light roast pour over! Absolutely amazing coffee and awesome staff and the overall vibe of this establishment is tops! Will be back for sure before I leave. HIGHLY recommended!!

It's my favorite coffee shop in Charlottesville! I go every-time I'm in the area! They have a great latte and the baked good are so good! The atmosphere is lovely and so is the staff. It feels very cozy and autumnal in inside, but also has a perfect patio outside for when the weather is nice and you want to people watch on the downtown mall!

I ordered an iced latte with almond milk. I ordered the larger 16 oz size and didn't realize that just meant more milk and the same # of espresso shots as the 12 oz. When my order was ready, I tasted it and it was way too milky. I told them I was unhappy with it and they graciously added a couple extra shots of espresso to my drink. Unfortunately, that made it far too bitter. Maybe their specialty lattes are better. Not a winner for me that day but giving it a decent rating because their customer service was great and they were friendly. Nice central location in DT Mall and a big space, good for bringing your laptop and working.

Dealer's choice Peach Aperol Spritz on a sunny Friday afternoon made first experience at Mudhouse wonderful. Thanks to Sarah for your splendid service!

This is such a great spot to grab a nice warm coffee & enjoy it, while walking around downtown. Decided to visit for the first time today and can't wait to return. Ordered a ginger latte from their seasonal menu and it was delicious. Service was expedient and friendly. The location itself is spacious. Highly recommend!

Mudhouse (downtown mall location) is a nice coffee shop chain. Their mint mocha was nice - the mint was subtle and did not overpower the coffee or chocolate. The foam was great but there might have been a little too much more my preference, and the cute design in the foam really sealed the deal. Their classic brew had a nice medium flavor, not too dark or burnt and not watery like hotel or insta coffee. The chai was good, not bad, but not exceptional either. The crew was very nice and let us take time with our order, and the shop was nice and cozy.

    Wow! Perfect Ethiopian pour over

Madhouse is a unique but fantastic local coffee shop. They roast their own coffee, the menu is diverse and the baristas knowledgeable and friendly! I could t decide on what to order! The pour over is served on a tray with a card to tell you all about the coffee and you can brew it at home! This coffee shop is a 5 star all the way around!

Ice matcha latte and breakfast burrito in the background

Came in here for breakfast and grabbed a matcha latte and a breakfast burrito in this cute little coffee shop in the little downtown strip. The breakfast burrito was soggy and leaked juice which appeared it was microwaved. The matcha latte was tasty but lacked some sweetness. My friend got the nitro coffee. He said it was just alright. It came in a beautiful goblet looking cup. The prices were reasonable. I loved the decor which has a spacious wooden seating. The atompshere, is very relaxing and chill. Overall, I'd skip the breakfast burrito, the drinks were decent, the atompshere very nice.

Outstanding espresso. Oat milk latte with extra shot was perfect. Smooth. And beautiful.

In my experience, Mudhouse Coffee is a good remote spot to work especially being in a mall if in case one gets hungry for a heavier meal. During my experience, customer service is good; chill, helpful, and kind. The Ginger Vegan Slice is a decent snack which has a somewhat dry-rough texture offering a dull flavor teetering between bitter and sweet (a different combination which I appreciate though imagine may be nice with a good tea and/or other hot beverage). The establishment has indoor and outdoor seating areas (a bathroom which requires a code). The establishment takes different forms of payment.

In an area with lots of coffee options, Mudhouse is a true standout. With fresh beans roasted in-house, there is clearly a commitment to quality to excellence and quality. The baristas here were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a large black coffee, which was prepared very well. Some sweet, fruity notes to it. Not burnt or bitter. If you're a college student this would be a great place to study. A lot of the customers were students studying for finals. I'm not a student at UVA, but if I was I would probably spend most of my disposable income here.

Very good coffee on a busy late afternoon Saturday. Cool place, friendly staff. Barista admittedly made 1 of 2 drinks wrong, but fixed before serving. Price point is on par for the area. The narrow space between order spot and pickup spot created some crowding and traffic flow problems. Confusing where to go on your first visit Most of the tables were also occupied on our visit.

Reunion has been a breath of fresh air - really good espresso drinks, pastries, and breads. To be 100% honest, Crucible's coffee is better, but their pastry selection is minuscule and they can feel a bit stuffy. Reunion's pastries are good, though I wish they had more French-inspired things like pain au chocolat, croissants, or even soft cinnamon rolls, but I feel they excel more at the breads side of baking. I got a mini sourdough loaf once and it was excellent! Service is always friendly and happy, and the shop itself is cute, but there isn't much space inside. I'm all for tables outside, but there's not much real estate there either, especially on a busy morning. I think a small adjustment to flow could make it easily sit a couple cafe tables inside without it feeling so crowded. I just miss the days of being able to hang out and have good coffee and snacks while doing some work on a laptop. Seems like most businesses would rather have you out the door instead. I have high standards for bakeries and cafes, and Reunion meets most of them. They're now my favorite place to go in the mornings in Staunton... if they're open. I would go there much more often if I could actually eat my breakfast there instead of having to get back in my car or sit in the blistering summer heat.

I thought about ordering the quiche to go for lunch on the train but it was way too big for one person and would likely be a bit messy. Flavors we tried: vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, raspberry white chocolate cookie dough and vanilla with strawberry icing and chocolate shavings (not sure of the actual name). All were very tasty, but for me, the highlights were chocolate (excellent), red velvet and vanilla, just amazing, all moist with the right amount of icing. Really want to come back for other flavors. The staff member that helped us was so friendly and helpful. She let us know that it's a good idea to buy in advance as they sell out quickly. She wasn't kidding! When we came back after lunch to pick up our cupcakes that we did buy in advance, some of the flavors were completely gone! So if you know what you want, get it right away.
