Being the mom of a freshman who is 3hrs away learning how to navigate special days where you can't be present is new and can be a challenge. Of course I sent a care package full of treats, but I wanted her to also have something fresh. I ordered a box that came with six cupcakes, two cookies and half a dozen chocolate covered strawberries. This was a large enough box for her to share with her friends (highly doubt this happened. My girl loves sweets lol) or to keep her satisfied all weekend lol. Ordering was easy and delivery was a breeze. They checked in with me the day before to confirm the delivery time and even snapped a really cute picture of her holding her surprise. I definitely plan on visiting them in person on my next visit to the Burg. If you're looking for a few sweet treats, I'd highly recommend Sweet Joy's.

Seriously, these were some of the best scones I've ever had - crispy sweet outer texture, soft and fluffy on the inside, no crumbly mess like other scones. Wide selection of teas to choose from - I picked the lightly fruity Lady Grey, my husband the warm and toasty Genmaicha. And the savory sandwiches were a step up from the basic white bread standard - roast beef on a pretzel bun, tuna on a croissant, open faced cucumber, chicken with roasted red pepper spread. A lovely way to spend a late morning or early afternoon in downtown Harrisonburg.

These were her favorite. I went through the process of selecting the flavors we wanted. When I picked up the box, I noticed it was a classic assortment with flavors we don't like. Employee advised there was nothing they could do because that is how the order came to them and implied I could be lying. I didn't want any extras, just to replace some of the ones we don't like. Was disappointed in this and makes me unlikely to make another big order from here. I think it defaulted to classic when I selected my store.

No, Sheetz isn't on the Get Upside program but this was still the cheapest gas in the area even without a rebate. As with all Sheetz, the gas pump area is clean and well covered from the elements. Not being from the area I leaned into knowing Sheetz were in the area. Getting here was a trip. The street grid around this location had me double guessing whether I was going to the right area. Once I did get myself to the lot I parked and ran inside. Ran to the facilities and found some sweet relief. Once finished in there I came out into the store area and then decided I should grab something eat. I tapped on the screen and got myself a quick breakfast. Paid and just waited for my food to be prepared. Not being in a rush I opted to eat in house which is rare for me in a Sheetz. I moved into the dining area and was the only one in there for the duration of my meal. I'm impressed with the setup in here as they took the customer experience into account. Each seating area had access to an outlet that included USB charging ports. Napkin dispensers within reach of everyone. Television on a channel to give some background noise for the dining area. The food was exactly what I needed for a breakfast. The fried things were a bit too greasy, but I knew that was going to happen. The breakfast sandwich was a usual go to for me at a Sheetz. While I ate more food I did some people watching from the window seat I had. Sheetz draws some crazy characters. Once I was done, threw my trash away and back outside I went. Leaving the lot was as crazy as the street grid. Traffic light was located right at the one entrance to the lot which made it a bit hard to form a line of any kind for vehicles exiting.
