This lovely place inside Graduate hotel serves a great cup of Joe. I had their cappuccino, which was more like a latte, and it was remarkable. The baristas were great as well! Stop by!

Feeling a little artsy - I got the iced latte with soy milk

We came here on a Wednesday morning before classes. It was a little hard to find, but once we spotted it in the window of grad court, it was fine. I had the latte with soy milk. The soy milk was a little curdled, and apparently that's normal. I'm not sure if that's true, but as someone with milk sensitivity, it made me apprehensive. That's where the two star docking comes from. The remaining three stars are for the very friendly baristas, and the nice chill vibe of the place. It's small, but cozy. If you're looking for a place to plop down and crank out some work, this is a good spot.

Great atmosphere and great location, but I make better coffee in my Cuisinart auto-drip every morning. Not worth the $3 for a cup.

Great coffee-- I would recommend both the almond and soy milk, but soy milk is a little better in my opinion.

I've tried the matcha latte in the past and it wasn't my favorite, but their coffee? Amazing! I got a medium iced caramel latte with skim milk and cold foam. It was the perfect milk to espresso ratio -- not too much so that it loses the coffee taste but not too little that the espresso is overpowering. The caramel flavor was just the right amount of sweetness. They topped it with a nice drizzle as well, making the drink super pretty (if you care about that sort of thing). The coffee shop itself is very cute inside & it has plenty of seating if you're looking to catch up with a friend or get work done. If you're in Charlottesville and you don't stop at SK for a drink, you're missing out!

I don't ever leave one star reviews but it is not safe. I ate my sandwich at first and couldn't finish it because it smelled like the floor. My brother tried the crepe and I didn't tell him anything and he told me it tastes like laundry detergent and he tasted it in the food and not from the boxes. So it's not safe and they really should start diluting the fabuloso or just stop using it completely because it smells and tastes exactly like it.

It's my first time there and I missed the large option which is my mistake. Got like a small 12-16 oz cup. I asked if I could pay to get it as a large drink and the manager couldn't comprehend that all she had to do was void the transaction and I'd ring up the new drink and tip the baristas for the inconvenience. I'm not trying to make a service worker feel bad but it's on management to not be so stingy on just helping a customer. For $8-9 it did not feel worth the money and genuinely the customer service with some of these Asian boba shops are atrocious compared to the ones in Richmond like even Tsaocaa or Zen Cafe or in Nova like Teas N You I've been to owned by competent owners and workers that aren't incompetent. Edit: I've also worked in a boba restaurant before so I know how management can be and it's just poor business practice to screw over your customers.

The baristas are excellent at making coffee, friendly, and the seasonal drinks are creative. They have a cardamom syrup that's delicious in lattes. As usual, I'm looking for the best coffee roaster to go to, and Lone Light Coffee was on the top of my list in this area. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, but it was warm and comfortable. The baristas were nice and three of them gave me their input on which single origin I should choose for my pour-over. POUR-OVER - MKT Price +6.50 for Mohammed Aba Nura - Ethiopia (tasting notes: Strawberry, white chocolate, hazelnut) I wanted the craziest tasting option they had, and they recommended this one since it's pretty popular and well-liked among customers. However, one of the barista said he didn't really like it himself. I figured I should still try it. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting. I should have listened to that one barista and went with a different single origin option. Overall, good roaster -- just unfortunate that I tried something that wasn't for me. The baristas seem knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. I would love to come back next time and try another single origin offering.
