Horrible customer service. We were ignored for 10 straight minutes while an employee made a singular smoothie. We were the only customers inside, but somehow an açai bowl took thirty minutes to make. Generally seemed poorly managed. My sister ordered an açai bowl without blueberries and they were blueberries in the açai bowl. She has a serious blueberry allergy and could've been killed. She had to throw away the entire bowl. read more

The manager of this store is rude. I accidentally ordered from this store when trying to order from the Rio store I was at. When realizing the mistake, I called the Olympia store to cancel and refund my order. The woman on the phone told me she was not able to cancel the order and that she would have to send the request to the District manager. (The Rio store told me they helped customers with cancellations on the spot.) I asked to speak to the District manager. She would not provide the phone number and offered an email. Then she hung up. Since I was charged, I was forced to drive over to the Pantops store. The smoothie wasn't prepared. The manager who had been so rude on the phone continued to be nasty and even cursed at me. She ran over to make my drink which made me uncomfortable since she hinted that she had tainted it with something. Begrudgingly I took the cup and left. I drank the smoothie and became severely ill to the point of going to the ER. Needless to say, I have not had one since then. read more

I'm sorry to say that the place was empty when I stopped in to get my mother a protein smoothie. But regardless, the smoothie was exactly as expected, prepared quickly and accurately, and I'd absolutely go back. I just hope this spot survives the lack of business! I stopped in today for smoothies and lunch and the service lacked professionalism and mannerisms. We asked for two wraps and two smoothies! The one wrap was missing ingredients and then one smoothie was wrong! Mackenzie's was very rude unprofessional, had AirPod in her ear and instead making sure our order was correct she walked away and didn't say anything as well as didn't give a receipt so waited longer just standing there!! This location never lets me down and I highly recommend for a flavorful and nice sized smoothie. There's never a wait (at least when I go) and the food and smoothies come out within minutes. Never had a complaint about their food or smoothies. I recommend the pomegranate plunge, it's very very good. I've had the chicken caprese and the chicken quesadilla, both of which were tasty. I guess my only note is that I asked for the caprese on a different bread and she confirmed my selection but then still gave me the wrong bread. Walked in to this establishment to have lunch, during normal working hours, today Monday August 29th. There were no customers in the store, but the staff member behind the counter said they were only taking online/ call-in food orders because she was the only staff member working?!?! Ok, so I can get on my phone and order a meal and come pick it up, with only you in the store, but I can't directly tell you what I want and sit there and eat it? I throw my trash away, you literally have the same job whether online or in person, hand me a bag of food to consume. So many questions! Why keep the front door open? Just open it for each online customer that show up. Is this store policy? Why not hang a huge sign on the door to keep people out? I do not recommend this restaurant based upon the lack of consideration to all customers. read more

One time I watched my Door Dasher leave the sandwiches and take my smoothies, when I called the restaurant they offered to make me new smoothies at no cost for pickup (even though it was at no fault to them) read more

I visited this new location for the first time just before 9 am on a weekday last week. There was no one else there when we arrived,and I got a classic smoothie, the Sunrise Sunset, which has been one of my favorites since Tropical Smoothie first broke onto the scene when I was a middle schooler in Virginia Beach. (If it ain't broke don't fix it. The one man working had apparently just received a same-day catering order for 40 sandwiches that they wanted to pick up in 2 hours, so he was a bit stressed! I'm glad he told us what had just happened though, otherwise I would have been tempted to assume he was just being short and therefore rude to his only two customers. After venting his dilemma he actually cheered up, made our smoothies quickly and then even gave us a coupon for a half price smoothie if we came back and bought food. All in all it ended up as a fine customer service experience. The store is new and very clean. There's a nice patio space outside actually, which I can see folks who work at neighboring Pantops businesses using when they stop in on their lunch breaks. I do have an issue with the huge styrofoam cups, and though I could bring my reusable stainless steel straw, I don't think I even have a cup that would hold the huge smoothie. I wish they would put them in something slightly more eco-friendly, but I guess they also want something insulating. I think Tropical Smoothie has lassoed their prices back down again after raising them incrementally as they gained popularity. If I crave a huge, affordable smoothie again soon, I would stop in to this location (which is convenient on my way into town) to satisfy the craving. read more

My sister and I stopped by for a late, quick bite to eat at this location. Neither of us had visited before so we weren't sure what to expect. It was clean and well lit. I originally decided on the Baja Chicken Bowl but the sauce made it inedible for me. It reminded me of a frozen food bowl from the grocery freezer section. The cashier was nice enough to trade it out for the Santa Fe quesadillas for me, minus the sauce. Sadly, the food just wasnt good. It was mediocre at best. My sister had the Cali Chicken flatbread. She said the flatbread itself was good. She didnt like the inside of the flatbread and said it was just ok. We didnt try any smoothies because I couldn't determine the sugar content on any if the drinks and I have to be cautious about that. Overall, I wouldn't eat there again but I'd consider trying a smoothie. read more

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. We went into this Tropical Smoothie today Oct 9 and there was no one in line, so we went to the register to place our order. We were completely and utterly ignored by the workers here for 15-20 minutes. After waiting that long, we asked the workers how long they think it would be until we could place our order, they looked at us and completey ignored us again which is when we left. The workers here are extremely rude to customers and it's honestly unacceptable. I will not be coming back. read more

They just close during random hours of the day. While I am sympathetic to staffing issues and long waits to just close because of being overwhelmed with orders is pretty unforgivable. Most be a management level issue if they have been "understaffed" for months. Will goto other stores but not this one. Amazing. I've been here twice. first time was great, love the outside eating area with mountain views. This time was such a great experience. Jeremy and his staff did an amazing job taking care of all our special needs. I live with a vegan and three vegetarian. They have great tasting plant based chicken. I messed up the wrap for my wife when ordering. Jeremy fixed it and brought it outside to us while eating. Super nice, so quick and so friendly. The owner's wife was so sweet and introduced herself even though it was very apparent she was busy. She gave me a few free smoothie cards to give to my coworkers as the employee that was working at the time told her I was a regular. Smoothies are amazing and food is good as well. We stopped in on our way out of town and they were very busy and seemed under staffed they got our order wrong and seemed angry when we came back for the right order and then they still got it wrong the second time the smoothies were good but they could use some help putting out the right food orders because as someone who works in food i get a mess up here and there but 2 times in a row i don't get it. read more

I just came here for the first time and was absolutely 100% thrilled with the awesome food and perfect service. Vegetarians and vegans rejoice! You can substitute Beyond Meat chicken for ANY chicken item on the menu for NO upcharge! You can also get awesome salads instead of wraps, gluten-free people. We had the Santa Fe quesadilla and the Thai "chicken" salad. Both delicious! A smoothie with any food item is half-price with the card they give you at the register, so we tried the Island Green and the seasonal Watermelon Mojito--both delicious and so refreshing on a hot day. Best of all was the service. The owner and employee both were super friendly and helpful, even helping me out with off-menu food for my gluten and dairy intolerant 3-year-old. I would like to take a minute to say something about this place. Although the food is good the service is NOT. I'm not sure but I believe it to be a manager who has been extremely rude to us on three different occasions. Yes, three. I told myself at first he was probably having a bad day..... So the next time I figured it out. He is just a nasty person. I'm not 100% sure but do I believe it is because the gentleman I'm with is handicap. I say this because I've watched him talk to everyone else and he seemes fine. "Hi! How are you? Have a great day!" All of that was said to EVERYONE with the exception of us. Right now we are here for a third and FINAL time. The man I'm with likes it here but I will NOT be coming back. The same man has all but told us to leave today after we have eaten. We were waiting for the Jaunt bus to pick us up so we were sitting there in the restaurant (still drinking our smoothies) to wait. He came by at least 3 times pretending to clean and everytime he would tell us to have a good day..... Rushing us out. Then as I stood up to throw something in the trash he said "I'll hold the door for you" .... The thing was we weren't leaving yet. To be honest we stayed about an hour. That was with us eating and having our drinks. The point I'm getting at here is this.... He is extremely snotty and I just want people to know how he treats people. The attitude of the GM was unexpected and unacceptable! I felt as though it was a bother to be served. I had a choice to patronize this establishment. Excellent service and a very clean place! I got one kids meal and one smoothie for my two children to share and the server was nice enough to split the smoothie into two cups for them. My wrap was well made and tasted fresh, and my (huge!) smoothie was great. And, the place is spotless. We'll definitely be back. read more
