We arrived on the last day of the grand opening and were welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. What a beautiful space, rich in history. The outdoor coveted patio was a perfect place to sit and enjoy some wine and food. Aldrian was our server--very patient, friendly, and attentive. We were given a small bowl of complimentary snack mix to celebrate the grand opening. Anything with furikake and roasted chick peas gets 5 stars for me. Next time I'll order a large bowl, because the house snack mix was tasty! We picked the bread and butter and the sweet and salty panini. My friend ordered the bartender's choice wine flight, and I ordered a Cappelletti 'Negroni Insorti' (kind of similar to an aperol spritz) because there were no sweet wines on the menu. I appreciate Aldrian letting me know all the wines on the menu were dry, so my only complaint is maybe to have one sweeter wine for folks like me. A German Riesling wouldn't go a miss on the menu. Next time, I'll have to bring my beagles with me and enjoy some tea and dessert, which all looked incredible when brought out to the other tables--the patio area is dog friendly for well behaved pups. I'm giving 5 stars for presentation, potential, and customer service. I look forward to coming back!

Awesome new spot in Charlottesville! We walked by here and stopped inside for a glass of Prosecco and tried the Thai tea cupcake. The vibe here is 10/10. They have a beautiful indoor bar as well as a delightful patio. The weather was perfect to sit outside when we visited! The staff told us they also have a coworking space in the upstairs area. The Prosecco was great and I appreciated the extremely thin and long stemmed wine glass. The real highlight of our visit was the Thai tea cupcake though! It was amazing-- flavorful, moist, and the perfect ratio of frosting to cupcake. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town!

BEST place for golden hour. I'm a sunset enthusiast and this place has an outdoor balcony with foliage, formage and fun! I tried the cider, the red wine, kombucha and meatballs. Everything was delicious, staff very friendly. If you haven't been, you MUST

What a cozy new spot on Main St! Met my friend here for lunch and we got to talking and eating our delicious lunch that I forgot to take pics! Paninis are served on Cou Cou Rachou English muffins. We started off with a pot of white tea that comes out in a gorgeous glass pot with the tea and herbs floating around beautifully. I had the Caprese panini and my friend had the fig and prosciutto panini, both served with Cape Cod style chips. The service was amazing of course as we were greeted and served by the owner who was beaming with excitement from her new establishment. Next time, I want to sit upstairs as it's an historic apartment so she's kept that esthetic throughout with cozy lamps, seating, book and game library and upcoming events!

This little restaurant opened 6 months ago. It's a place to drop in for tea or wine and a nosh. The tea is wonderful. The menu offers little plates of appetizers and paninis. It's a relaxing place to sit and chat while sipping tea or wine.

This is particularly true for the wine program; for a venue with such a massive retail selection, the curated menu feels surprisingly stingy. I had high hopes for their Cheese Board, but unfortunately, it mirrored my general experience here: great flavors, questionable value. The Highlights: The presentation on the bamboo board is lovely. The bread was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and the fruit accompaniments; Persimmon, guava, grapes, and strawberry, offered a bright, acidic contrast that paired well with the selections. The Letdowns: Zero Transparency: The cheeses weren't listed on the menu, and the server didn't offer any information on what was being served. Half the joy of a professional board is the "story" knowing the origins and profiles. We were left entirely in the dark. The "Bread-to-Cheese" Ratio: Most of the selections were hard cheeses, and the two soft cheeses provided were literally the size of a quarter. Every sample was sliced remarkably thin. While the bread portion was generous, there wasn't nearly enough cheese or fruit to sustain it. It felt less like a cheese service and more like a bread board with a cheese garnish. Bottom Line: The Crush Pad clearly has access to great ingredients, but the portions should be more than "tastes." I want to love this place, but the value for the price just isn't quite there.

They have an excellent wine selection with a knowledgeable staff to back up any questions you ask. I did not expect there to be a full kitchen, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food we ordered. The Mushroom Crostinis in particular played into the refined vibe the entire bar was giving off. A fun stop for a quick glass of wine, or a seated meal that will be accompanied by excellent taste.
