Good prices and amazing menu selection. We only came for dessert but was impressed by the quantity of flavors and different dessert varieties. They are famous for fresh butter burgers and fried cheese curds. We'll be back to try those for sure

    Chicken tenders and coleslaw.

Food is Culvers, it's not the best, but it's fine. The staff and management are the best. If you need to grab some food, stop here.

If I come here I either get the hot ham and cheese sandwich (YUM!!) or the Cod Fillet sandwich (YUM YUM!) What tops it off is the frozen Custard.

When entering, the shop is straight past the stairs and then the second right turn. Their menu has a variety of coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, protein shakes, hot chocolate, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and more! The inside is beautifully designed and leans into the greenhouse aesthetic; it's whimsical and a true escape. I ended up ordering the Sweet Cardamom Latte along with the Blueberry Rosewater Scone. The scone may have been the best I've had! It was fresh and you could taste the rosewater and blueberries balance each other out. The Sweet Cardamom Latte had subtle flavor but they make their syrups in house as well as source local honey to flavor drinks. My husband got the Chai Tea Latte which had a subtle, sweet flavor. He also tried the ham, smoked gouda, and egg sandwich. They offered a chipotle mayo sauce to go with this which I highly recommend. This was a bit of a splurge but was so worth it!

Like the rest of the American Club, it's a gem. We stopped in a couple of times and had the chance to try a variety of items. Food: They have an excellent assortment of beverages and pastries. Over our two visits, we tried a coffee latte, gourmet hot chocolate, London Fog Tea Latte, and a coffee. The baristas do a very nice job with the hot beverages. You can watch them being made, and it's clear they pay attention to the small details. A great example was the whipped cream on the hot chocolate, piled high in the center of the cup without touching or spilling over the sides. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. On our first visit, we ordered a Blueberry Rosewater scone that looked amazing in the case. It was nicely baked, topped with turbinado sugar, and had plenty of blueberries. The texture, however, was more muffin-like than scone-like. There was also a noticeable baking soda taste, which we both picked up on. I later mentioned this to the manager, who was apologetic. On our second visit, we shared an Espresso Hazelnut Cruffin. This is essentially a croissant baked in a muffin tin and filled with flavored cream. That one was outstanding. The dough was flaky yet moist, and the filling was generous and fresh. We cut it open, spread the filling across the pieces, and ate it almost like buttered bread. Truly delicious. Service: All of the staff were friendly and pleasant. Even when they were busy, it never felt rushed. They didn't initially ask if we wanted our beverages in mugs, but they were happy to accommodate when we asked. They also offered to heat up the scone, which was appreciated. Atmosphere: It's a small space with about a dozen small tables, best suited for groups of two, though there are a couple of tables that can seat four. The stained glass windows are lovely, letting in plenty of natural light and providing a beautiful view of the courtyard. It can get a little loud inside, but we were still able to have a relaxed conversation. A charming spot that fits perfectly into the American Club experience.

I've had Kohler Chocolates before and have always been impressed. Since we were staying at the American Club for the weekend, stopping by the chocolate shop was a must. As part of the stay, you receive a small box of Terrapins as a welcome gift and then a couple of square truffles with the nightly turn-down service, which only made us more excited to visit the store. We went on a Sunday morning while they were just putting out their selections in the display case. It isn't a huge assortment, but everything they offer is beautifully crafted and clearly made with care. I was especially surprised and impressed when we asked if it was possible to sample something and they offered us an entire truffle rather than just a small piece. That was incredibly generous. You can purchase pre-boxed assortments, but if you want a custom selection, you can choose any combination you like and they will box it up for you. They offer gift boxes for four or nine pieces, which are perfect sizes for sharing or giving as gifts. We will definitely enjoy these chocolates ourselves and share them with some of our favorite people.

The original recipe is my favorite!

The Immigrant taught me the expensive lesson that the middle of Wisconsin is for supper clubs and cheese curds. I've never walked out in the middle of a meal before, so thank you for providing that story to me. My wife and I booked a reservation on New Years Eve. They had a very expensive prix fixe menu, which I'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. I have no issues with a restaurant charging hundreds of dollars per person for a meal like this. But I do expect the service and food to be fantastic, which it was far from. -It took over a half an hour for us to get water at our table. Our drink orders were finally taken after that. -Our waiter went on and on about how the restaurant has been nominated for 12 James Beard awards and won 3. THIS IS NOT TRUE. As far as I can tell, the current chef has won a single James Beard award years ago at a different restaurant. None of the previous head chefs have, and the restaurant itself hasn't. -Also, a waiter telling you about all the awards the restaurant has won is the tackiest thing in the world. I'd expect better from a fine dining restaurant. After every course he was basically telling us that the food was SO GREAT. It was obnoxious. -The menu was set for 9 courses. After 2 hours, we had only received 5 of the courses, most of which were so so so gross. We were starving and left. -One course was a fingerling sweet potato, cooked, cut in half, with fish roe on top, and a smelly piece of seaweed as garnish/decoration. That's it. Or at least, that's what it tasted like. If they did anything else to it, I wouldn't know. What was the point of that dish? -Another was foie gras with caramelized white chocolate. How do those flavors go together AT ALL? Why would you serve them as one of the first two courses? And that white chocolate wasn't caramelized, so why did you say it was? -At one point we were served bread with a side of butter that had chopped up seaweed in it. What's the obsession with seaweed? It ruined that butter. Who wants the gross taste of fishy salt with their bread? - Raw scallops with cold horseradish sauce and dill. It tastes like it sounds. Listen, I'm no stranger to fine dining. We expected the food to be edible, the service to be prompt, and the experience to be positive. The Immigrant failed on all fronts, ultimately leading to us ending our stay at The American Inn. But I guess the ambience had a certain charm to it. One star.
