Why? - Wisconsin after all, and not even one of the bigger Wisconsin cities (gb/milwaukee) - Sitting down, nary a foreign staff member much less an Asian person dining. Wowwwweeeee This ain't bastardized or imitation Asian cuisine. This is inspired Japanese ramen. Both the pork bun and beef bun taste profile were definitely Asian profile with a white friendly twist. That meat was so delicate and flavorful (fatty). Tonkotsu: Upon the first taste, the depth of the broth was unmistakably quality tonkotsu. However, at the same time, it was unrecognizable to me in a sense that I couldn't recall having something like this from all across Japan to Cali to Houston to Chicago. Unique in the best of ways from the toppings (that crunch) to the broth. Harmony and balance, Asian fusion, Japanese Cowboy was achieved. This will be one of 3 ramen experience I have had that will stick with me and not blur out with other sittings. The hot sauce...as warned...was actually very spicy. Tasted like an enhanced sriracha with spicier/sharper notes. The maizen was solid too, but not my cup of tea (sweeter). My kids love love Love it. - oh seating was not kids friendly

Chef Greg was so kind and completely catered to my dietary restrictions. I could tell that he genuinely wanted to make my experience great, and he completely delivered on that. The flavors are bold, rich, and inviting. The broth feels like a warm hug, and it is hard to not smile when you taste it. The environment of the restaurant is unique and exciting as well. It's small enough to be an intimate experience while still having your own space to enjoy the meal. We will certainly be visiting again, even if it means making the hour drive just to have some ramen!

DanDan - Sesame Chicken Bao: I guess it's "American Chinese" because it's like a burger instead of a traditional Bao.

If you like a little bit of spice I really enjoyed the Happy Chicken specialty and (of course) the DanDan noodles are a must. For appetizers, the crab rangoons and Sichuan pork dumplings were so delicious. We also had the mapo tofu dish that was great delicious for the vegetarian option. So many delicious things to split between friends My absolute favorite dish they offer is the walnut shrimp. It was so delicious and sweet, I will definitely be ordering it every time I'm back at DanDan! Lastly, we tried some sweet mango crème brûlée that hit the spot at the end of a nice din din

Not sure if it was due to being takeout or they always do it this way, but orange chicken was basically served like sweet and sour chicken with the sauce in a side dish vs being cooked/tossed in it. Mongolian beef again was OK, but nothing special at all. Egg rolls... Got 2 for $8 which seems excessive and on the menu just said "egg rolls" so we were not sure on quantity but being 2 it technically was "rolls" but again, nothing particularly great about them. Not sure if it's representative of their food served in restaurant, but can say based on this I probably will never find out. Can't say anything about restaurant, service, etc as this was a 3rd party delivery order. Overall, nothing special.

First time trying this restaurant, and overall there were definitely some hits and misses, but…read moreenough good things that I'd come back and explore more of the menu. I started with the crab rangoon. I'm used to a lighter, crispier wrapper, so these weren't really my preference. The wrapper was thicker and flatter, and I didn't care for the filling. Next I tried the egg rolls, and those were a completely different stor I loved them! They were crispy, flavorful, and definitely something I would order again. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bánh mì. The bread was good, but I wasn't very impressed with the meat. It was just okay, cut into somewhat odd strips, and I felt like there wasn't quite enough of it for the sandwich. I probably wouldn't order that particular item again. The star of the night was the beef lo mein very tasty and packed with flavor. So good! The homemade ice cream was another highlight. While I was sitting there, I noticed quite a few customers coming through the door specifically for ice cream, and I can see why. They have a great variety of flavors to choose from. The waiter was friendly and provided good service, and the atmosphere had a pretty typical Asian-style décor. Since they're new, I definitely wouldn't let one disappointing sandwich keep me from going back. There are plenty of other items on the menu I'd like to try, and I'll definitely be back for those egg rolls, beef, and homemade ice cream!

Stopped by early afternoon, I would say after lunch and before dinner. There were a fair amount of people dining at the restaurant and after looking at the menu, we went inside. Ordered the Peking Duck and added plain rice with it. It was weird because I thought something should come with the dish, but no, everything is needed to order individually. My daughter ordered a bowl of Pho. We also ordered drinks. Then we were sitting and waiting for a long time. Finally, when the food arrived, we thought "omg, it looks delicious" but very soon we realized, it wasn't delicious. First of all, the duck wasn't baked enough. It was very fatty, meat wasn't completely came off the bone, meat was raw in many ways. Also, it wasn't seasoned at all. I really thought it was disappointing. When I asked the waiter about it, he implied that they make it that way. The Pho was okay, but nothing exciting. After no solution for me, we got up, paid by the register and left. Three stars are generous!

Operating as a fast casual restaurant, this establishment requires guests to order and pay at the…read morefront counter before selecting their own seating. It serves as my primary recommendation when craving Hmong cuisine. The stuffed chicken wings are exceptional, featuring a well proportioned filling with a light amount of cabbage and carrots alongside a generous serving of noodles. Portions are remarkably substantial, as a single wing accompanied by rice easily makes for a complete meal. The Pad Thai is equally impressive, built on a classic tamarind base that produces a vibrant tangy and sweet flavor profile topped with plenty of peanuts. The Pad Kra Pao is okay. It features a significant level of heat that may prove challenging for diners sensitive to high spice levels. Would not get it again.

Will have to figure it out next time because we will be back. There is a deli style counter you walk up to place your order, then find a seat and they bring it to your table. We started with the spring rolls with two sauces, peanut and sweet. They were delicious. We also each had a stuffed chicken wink because they looked so good and wanted to try something not usually on a menu. Not sure how they stuffed them but they were delicious. I had an excellent pho. I am gluten intolerant and probably should not of had the chicken wing but it just had about a 1% gluten in I was told. The gentleman who took our order and brought us our food was knowledgeable and attentive. When I ordered my Thai tea I asked it to be put in a to go cup. Because with our apps I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. As it was I needed two to go containers for my Pho and really enjoyed it for dinner. My combination Pho had lovey perfectly cooked shrimp and sliced beef that had to have been roasted and sliced in-house. At least it tasted like it. I also had several meatball halves too. I would go back for this Pho over and over again. My husband had a curry and he said it was also a 4 star. We try Asian restaurants, mostly Thai, whenever we travel and I hope to be able to come back here when in the area.
