There's a YouTuber I watch frequently and he's always going on about Culver's ButterBurgers. I got curious and looked them up and from the images, they look like a steakburger. Having grown up on Steak and Shake, I really don't care for steakburgers; way too thin for me. So thin that they're always dry and teetering on being charred if cooked for even a few seconds too long. However, while passing through on a business trip, I decided to give Culver's a chance, and boy was I glad I did. First off, this isn't really a steakburger like I know them. Yes, it's a thin patty, but not nearly as thin as a Steak and Shake burger. I ordered a triple and that thing was pretty thick. I could have easily gotten away with a double and been perfectly happy. As a precautionary measure I also ordered an onion ring and cheese curds in case the burger itself wasn't enough to satiate me. The onion rings were real onion rings and were delicious. Cheese curds were pretty awesome too. The real hero, as it should have been, was the ButterBurger. Juicy, fresh, and packed with delicious flavor. Because I'd eaten both side, I could only eat about half the burger in that one sitting, but it was incredible! I get it now. I was hankering for some onion rings during a couple hour drive and Culver's fit the bill. This particular location is very tidy with a nice outdoor seating area. We visited for drive thru (they have a double pane drive thru here). The biggest hold up for this not being four or five stars was that we pulled forward to wait for our order to arrive and it ended up taking nearly 15 minutes which is quite long when you're on the road/opting for drive thru for the sake of efficiency. I was also surprised that the wasted an extra bag for the ranch dressing separate from everything dose. The onion rings themselves were tasty- no complaints there. My only wish would be that it was a more swift experience given that we opted for drive thru to save time. read more

Culver's is always a great choice. Employees are super friendly and cheerful, and the food is always hot and fresh. The menu has enough variety to please everyone and the food is high quality. Definitely several steps above fast food. The employees at this location always go above and beyond to make sure each guest has a great experience. I've never had a meal here that was less than excellent, and always 100% correct. The drive thru is very efficient and moves quickly. read more

It is wonderful to see Culver's hire individuals with disabilities. That is a positive at this location! The downside of this location was the food. Culver's is our go-to place whenever we travel as it is good and predictable. This location was not, unfortunately. The burger was minus cheese, charred -- overdone, and the toppings were really sparse. I have never seen a burger from Culver's like this ever. The fries were cold and soggy, and the carbonated products were flat. I am not a person to review, but this was shockingly disappointing. read more

It's Saturday evening and the place in Greenfield was busy. I ordered 1 scoop of ice cream (frozen custard) in a cup with fudge, brownie bites, and strawberries. Waited over 15 minutes when a girl brought me a tall plastic glass of mush, running over the sides of the glass. "didyouunintelligiblestrawberryunintelligible?" Looking puzzled, not only by what she said (I did make out strawberry) and what looked like a messy milkshake, I stated I didn't order that. "You didn't order the chocolate mixer?" "What is a mixer??" Of course, no I didn't not order their concrete mixer. If I wanted my sundae blended to the point of gruel I would have know. She did ask if I wanted her to remake it. No. I didn't want to stand there another 15 minutes watching 8 teenagers trying to dispense custard. And, I won't be back. Probably a win-win for us all. read more

Not a good experience today. Food runner brought our baskets. Both sandwiches were wrong. Ticket was as ordered. When runner brought our mixers, oh wait, only one of our mixers (both flavor or the day) but only one. We told her our sandwiches were wrong. She seemed confused when we showed her the ticket. Finally she asked if my husband could come back to the counter so she didn't mess up our order again. He did. My second sandwich with extra pickle had two pickles. Bun was cold. I have known of Culver's but have never had the pleasure of dining here until now. I knew of the concept and what they had to offer, so nothing was a big surprise when I arrived here. With that, I have to say I don't get the fuss. I like how you can customize it however you want and you can get basically get whatever you like. But what I don't like is the wait for the food. If you are claiming to be fast food, get a little faster. And know what was ordered in the first place. I got the the Double Butterburger Cheese. I liked the toppings I picked; lettuce, onion, pickles, mayo. It's my go to. The burger was fine, but nothing over the top. What I didn't like was the fries. I appreciate the different take on the fries as they were crinkle cut, but they were too big to me. With that, they were too heavy as well. I usually devour my fries, but these were just too much for me. Now that I have experienced a Culver's, will I ever return? Let me just put it this way, I will not go out of my way to deliberately travel to one, but at the same time, I would not disagree to come here if someone else is driving. read more

If you want to see food business operated correctly, then please come here. The crew does not stand around on their cell phones and glance at the front counter now and then and provide a dull care-less attitude. These are good workers and there are normally multiple stations open to take orders. I have not had a bad food item here. The burgers are awesome and built back on the food line with care and all the items are square on the bun, unlike some "box" places that just throw the thing in and hope for the best. The fish is the best around. The Cod fillets are always perfect brown, fresh fish and served hot. Onion rings here are the best of any chain restaurant in my opinion. If you live within 30 minutes, it is worth the stop. read more

The long lines and long wait here is not worth the food...especially when they come out, hand you the bag with the wrong order, and walk away before you can check the bag. So then you have to go inside and wait way longer for them to correct the order. This is ridiculous. I won't be back. They've been really skimpy on their toppings. This is the second time in a row we asked and paid for extra toppings in the mixer only to be given 99% vanilla ice cream and a few crumbs of toppings on the top. Culver's employees have hardly ever made a mistake in our order. We have been going to Culvers for a long time now. The only time I can remember them messing up an order is with my little sister. We told them that that's not what we ordered, and they fixed right away. When they came back with the right order they apologized and gave her free ice cream. The inside of Culver's was really nice. Right now they are in the process of adding on because once it got crowded they wasn't anywhere for people to sit. They had a space in a corner that could fit a big family is need too. Culver's food is simple but yet good. Their fries are nice and golden. Sometimes at the bottom of your fires they might be a little burnt but that's pretty much it. Their chicken has hardly any fat/grisel on it so you aren't wasting that much meat. Culver's doesn't have actual ice cream but they have custard. Sometimes when I go to get ice cream it's already liquidy, but the past couple of times have been better. Staying in Greenfield for the day and was looking for a good place to have lunch. Culver's never disappoints and this location definitely lived up to my standards. Even though they were very busy, I received fast and friendly service. It was staffed and managed very well. The food is always consistent and I really appreciate that, especially being from out of the town. I tried the strawberry pecan chicken salad, highly recommend. We're from Indianapolis but had a soccer tournament in greenfield that got delayed because of lightning. Instead of waiting we decided to get food and stopped in on this Culver's and ate with a party of 5. Hands down the best staff I have seen in a while. Last 2 times I've been here (in the past 2 months), I've had a bad experience and it's disappointing because I love Culver's and every other location is fantastic. Last time, I ordered a cookie dough concrete mixer and probably had only 5 pieces of cookie dough total, nor was it mixed well. On top of that, we had to go back up to the cashiers after ordering and waiting 5+ minutes, and ask where our order was (it was just ice cream..). And one of the employees says "oh, I can make it" and makes it for us. Didn't know we had to ask you to make it after we already ordered? This time we got just ice cream again and our mixers came out extremely runny and melted, not thick like it's supposed to be at all. It is pretty hot today but if your machine can't keep up due to the temperature, let people know ahead of ordering so they don't waste their money buying ice cream soup. read more

Great fried chicken dinners here if you don't mind a 20 minute wait. I wish they had more sides to choose from though. The burgers are tasty too. This is like a nice sit down restaurant inside of a fast food location, ha. Always cheery and friendly employees, place is clean, and looks nice. The ice cream is great and there's a big selection of tasty cold treats to choose from. I like the chocolate and peanut butter mixes. I'm someone that is super into fast food burgers...fast food burgers are a passion of mine, and I got to say, this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The veggies on it were very crisp, the patty was non greasy, and the bun was fresh and puffy. The counter service is very quick, and I like how the workers come out and hand you your order. It's okay. Other people who have been with me liked it more. The good thing is that they offer a wide selection. The bad thing is that you have to read through it all to decide on what to eat. I've tried the Mushroom & Swiss ButterBurger Single SnackPak--I had to look to get that right--and a fish sandwich at different times. Despite the butter in the name, both sandwiches were rather dry. They weren't overwhelming in flavour, either, but they were sufficient. To me, it comes across as a McDonald's with more choices and a caring staff. They food is slightly better than McDonald's but also not worth telling all your friends and neighbours. Given all of the choices on this specific road, I'd go somewhere else if I was alone. They've got a lot of first time appreciation from my family, though. I think that they must have a lot of repeat business because the parking lot is almost overflowing each time I've been there. This was an amazing find thanks to iExit! The gluten free grilled chicken sandwich made with the Udi's bun really hit the spot. It tasted fresh, the chicken was hot and moist and the tomato was flavorful. This place is very kid friendly - the chicken strips and burger meal were a hit! They pleasantly surprised all of us with chocolate custards; we were going to order desserts off their menu, but they had pre-closed some of that infrastructure. The scooped chocolate ice creams with cookie dough bits were delicious! The only thing better than the food was the staff and their friendly personalities. The women on staff were very kind and chatted with us despite being so close to their closing time. We weren't rushed and very well received. I have never been to a Culver's, and this was everything I could have hoped for and more. My bacon deluxe butter burger was delicious, the toppings were crisp and plentiful, and the bun was so good. My only regret was not getting a double. (The meat was delicious, but given the proportions of the other goodies, I wished I had gone for a little more. The cashier tried to tell me it was the way to go, and I should have listened!) My husband liked his fish sandwich, but said it was a 4 not a 5 star for him. A solid choice but it didn't blow his mind. The kids meals are very generous (like, the burgers are the same size as the adult burgers) and the onion rings were crispy and fresh. The real reason I felt compelled to leave this review though (which I never do) is because our service was absolutely phenomenal and the food arrived super fast. Yes it was lunch hour and yes it was packed. They were informative, fast, and doubled back and brought us ketchup and napkins, and even observed we didn't have straws for our children's milks. With two little people on a road trip, it was so great not to have to get up. The restaurant was very clean. I guess I was a little nervous to go somewhere on my road trip where some of the reviews on her complained of long waits. Well this was certainly not my experience. I'm glad I went and I will be sure to return again. Oh, and their root beer float was the perfect treat, and the kids meals also come with a free sundae. Just go. You won't regret it. read more
