After an extremely hot day working in the yard I decided to go to Culver's and get a 3 scoop banana split. I decided on the chocolate and vanilla with strawberry and chocolate syrup. Everything was very good except for the salted caramel syrup that was on it. It would have been a lot better if it was just plain caramel. The food was good and drive-thru mployee was friendly, but they gave me the wrong order.

This location used to be the best place around for hot, fresh food and custard. The employees were always kind and got orders right 99% of the time. Prior to COVID, this location started going downhill, so I don't think this is blamed on the pandemic. In the past 3 or so years, nothing has been hot or fresh, and the custard is always grainy and half melted like soup. They're always understaffed as well, but that goes for most retail and food service these days. read more

Love Culver's, just not this one. Empty restaurant, but always takes forever to get your food. Currently waiting 20 minutes on two sandwiches and a fry. I'd understand a bit more if it were busy, but it's empty. I had to go to the counter where the said they had a large Togo order and would be longer. It would have been nice to know that when I placed the order, or to prioritize the small orders, as I assume if you order a lot of food you may expect to wait longer. If they had let me know, I could have declined ordering and sitting there for over 20 minutes as I was on a schedule and ended up not even being able to eat any lunch at all. The worst part was, when I went up to cancel my order, they called back to the kitchen to cancel it, and they shouted back they don't even have my order on their screen (as in it wasn't ever going to get made)!! I love this location of Culver's!! I'm not sure if all locations have this, but here they have gluten free buns. Y'all, let me tell you. This is hands down the best gluten free bar I've ever had. The bun is soft, doesn't crumble like most gf stuff, and it actually has great flavor. Its refreshing to eat at a place that actually has good tasting gluten free replacement items because too many places just have awful options. I honestly cannot stress enough how great these buns are. It's also important for people with celiacs, they list gluten free items like the picture I attached on their screens for the employees to make sure they don't use things with gluten in them on your order. Went to dinner with the wife last evening (Monday) at 5:30. If you haven't been to a Culvers you order at a counter like most fast food places and then take a number to your seat and the food is delivered. You get your own soft drinks at the fountain stand which I prefer since it allows you to regulate your ice-drink ratio. This night they had one register opened up front and the drive thru was also open. Unfortunately we were behind a mother with four kids who could not be talked to without her yelling at them. It took forever to get their order straight especially when they wanted to use multiple coupons. We then had to wait more as the elderly couple in front of us had no idea what they wanted even after standing in line for what seemed like fifteen minutes. The odd part is they had two people working this one register, I think the young guy actually working the register may have been in training. He finally took our order and was courteous and friendly. We also used a coupon for a buy one get one free burger and he rung us up without a problem. We took our cups and number, got our drinks and it was just a couple of minutes for our dinner to be delivered. Both burgers were hot and delicious, though they were a little heavy handed on the mayo, something to remember for next time. The burgers were moist and tasty, slightly greasy but no so much that they were slimey. I had fries and the wife had onion rings, both cooked perfectly. Stopped into the Florence (Y'all!) Culvers on the way hope for the Holidays. Its a newer Culvers, so the interior is quite nice. Complete with Televisions and a somewhat private dining area. Currently sitting here now...my husband and I usually stop here when we are traveling down 75 as there are no Culver's close to us. I cannot believe how awful this place has became since we were here last year. No line to order when we came in. Staff stood around talking to each other before someone (that literally was clocking in) bothered to take our order. The freezer by the registers with to go ice cream in it had several cups/shakes inside with spoons or straws in them. Obviously the staff was using this freezer to keep their own snacks in. I doubt the health department would look favorably on this. The place was disgustingly dirty. A worker came to clean a table off next to us and when he left there were still food crumbs on the table. Absolutely the worst service we have ever had at a Culver's or any fast food establishment. The drive through was So slow, we waited 30 minutes with just 7 cars ahead of us. When we finally did place our order and got to the window, we got our food and waited another 5 minutes to get one sundae, and another 2-3 minutes to get the rest of our ice cream order. The girl serving us never gave us a clue as to the fact they were bringing the rest of order to us or not. The lack of capable people who are willing to work created a perfect storm at this Culver's last night. Our drive through experience took almost an hour. Trapped between cars in the drive through prevented us from driving away, then paying $30+, we felt we needed to wait for the order. Some of the staff that was present were seen wearing pajamas and ambling in the restaurant as though they were lost. At the end of the day, they should have closed their doors rather than trying to keep up with demand. It's probably not the restaurant's fault that they could not keep up, but less harm would have resulted if they closed their doors for the evening and admitted they were ill prepared for the busy Saturday evening rush. I didn't really know "what" a Culvers was...my Aunt in northern Illinois tells us that she takes her grandchildren there, but that she found it "pricey" for kids. I love the reubens here. The tea is so good. And the employees are super nice and sweet even thought they are young. Very hard working. Yeah they may goof off for a few seconds but who cares I like seeing employees having fun together. Better than seeing them fight. I can just feel myself getting fat walking into Culvers. I mean, their menus is not very interesting if you are all about staying healthy and keeping things on the up and up. Of course, if you are in the mood for some greasy butter burgers, yes, I said butter burgers, and frozen custard (not ice cream), than this is the best you can get from a chain. Their food is what you would expect from a fast food joint, mediocre at best and most of the time just kind of blah. So you must be wondering why the 4 star rating? Frozen custard. Yes, that alone is enough to elicit a good rating in my book. They have vanilla and chocolate frozen custard as well as a "flavor of the day". The flavor is actually a sundae like, vanilla with peanuts, waffle cone pieces and chocolate syrup. So they have scoops, cones, sundaes, milkshakes and concrete mixers (thick milkshakes with toppings). They have a ton of different toppings that you can mix in with the vanilla and chocolate. I have heard rave reviews about Culver's for years but I had no idea where to find the store that's somewhere north of Cincinnati. When I happened by their new restaurant in Florence, I was thrilled. My husband and I stopped in immediately and ordered a two-dip Turtle Sundae to share. It was the BOMB! Absolute heaven. We made plans to come back for dinner ASAP. On our second trip -- too bad. The batter-dipped fried Cod that they advertise so loudly on their signage was over battered and under cooked. The outside was crispy and tasted great, but all the uncooked batter inside made the fish watery and goopy. The cole slaw was very good, but the fish overshadowed that. I considered something else from the menu, but there's aren't really any tasty healthy alternatives. We will go back for another sundae, sometime. But we will eat dinner elsewhere read more

My wife and I have enjoyed the Culvers in Mason for years. We tried the ence Florence location for the first time. The chain features a large line of dairy products, the food qualty is very good. The butter burgers and fish sandwichs are wonderfull, we always get the cheese curds (little crunchy cheese nuggets). There is a large selection of shakes and sundays for desert. The counter procedure is to order at the register and recieve a number, the food will be delivered to your table. They have a self-service beverage and condiments bar. Had the unfortunate experience of visiting the Culvers in Florence, KY back in April of this year. The restaurant was dirty in both the dining area and restrooms. The order took 30 minutes to be delivered. There was only one person behind the counter that was taking orders, delivering the food and dealing with multiple problems. I contacted Culvers Customer service. They said they would look into it. I had to return a call to them because I had not heard anything in three weeks. They said they would forward my info to the franchise owner, Craig. He called me once and did not leave a message. I returned his call twice and never heard back from him. Culver has a great product and we enjoy visiting their stores. The Florence store was horrible and the follow up from Culver Customer service was very disappointing. Needless to say we will think twice before returning to Culvers or recommending it anyone else. read more

First visit to Culvers. Hubby mainly wanted to try the cheese curds and butter burger. Not necessarily my favorite restaurant, but the burger was fairly decent albeit very thin. The curds cooled quickly and we threw out more than we ate. Crinkle fries were average. The custard was good, kind of like soft serve only not as sweet. Customer service was excellent and restaurant was pretty clean. Overall, not a bad experience, but not going to be a regular place to visit. read more

While the food and counter service at this location of have been consistently good, I have yet to see the dining area clean. The majority of tables show signs of recent use with teach in the seats and on the floor, and tables desperately needing a wipe down. Im sorry, but if anyone knows Culvers without working there, it's me. I've been going there 1-2 a week for over a year now. And what can I say about the place? Awful. Very awful. The employees have no respect for anyone, even the manager (Craig for example). All of the employees are young, arrogant, and have no respect for the customers, and it is very sad, but the worst is how the management is even worse in those regards. The food tastes good, but man, it is overpriced and likely to have you gain 5lbs afterwards from foods such as the butterburger.
