Bro Culver's just pulled a big dick move. Me and my homie only get the cheese curds cause they're the best. The first time, we ordered them but had to wait like 15 minutes for them to come out with the order and we were a lil annoyed. The second time, we waited like 5 minutes and we were like damn that was fast. The third time, today, we pay for it and the guy just tells us to wait there and in like 15 seconds he comes back with our curds. Like bro. When my wife and I found out they were putting a Culver's in the city so close to us we were excited but also at the same time worried about quality of food and service. We often notice a difference in food and service when we dine in the suburbs compared to dining the city at any restaurant chains. We drive by one night and saw they were open and just had to stop and get some food. I might go as far as saying the food and service have been by far better than that in the surrounding suburbs. Staff is very polite and sound like they are actually happy to be working and not just moving through the motions. The food came out HOT and delicious. I had a burger with cheese curds and my wife and chicken tenders. We have gone back quite a few more times and every time I'm amazed at how consistent the service and food has been. I love Culver's! But this one has some growing pains to get through. The drive thru is narrow and backed up when not even that busy. If you want to get to the parking lot I advise driving around the block. It's the city and space is at a premium so I didn't let that dwell too much. The burger itself was the worst I have had at any Culver's location. I won't knock the fries too much it was my bad for not switching to the cheese curds. I would have given less stars but the custard was fantastic as usual. read more

A welcome addition to the neighborhood. For a late lunch on a weekday, there were a surprising number of people dining in. The service was quick and the staff was friendly - typical of all the Culvers I've visited. The food was typical as well, more expensive than most fast food burger joints, but a step above quality-wise. The menu choices are much better as well. I don't think anyone makes a better fish sandwich. The drive-through is a tight squeeze and access from and to Irving Park Rd can be a challenge at times. read more

This is now my new favorite place and also our 2nd-time coming here. Culvers had this fishing game which I won a $1.00 off of a Fish Basket which is Cod filet and it's crispy with your toppings I had Mayo, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes with the family tartar sauce. Fries and a drink. My dessert was 1 scoop of custard flavor of the day. My sister had a Pork Tenderloin sandwich, fries, and her Arnold Palmer drink. Did you know that they also have there MyCulver's App and when you sign up you get a free scoop for your next birthday? That is what I did. Due to saying my favorite store was out in Skokie, IL until they came closer to Chicago. But I was able to switch to Irving Park location. Great food, hands down they bring your order to your table and you leave the number where they can see it. The helpful staff did I mention the CUSTARD!! "OMG" that is so so rich. The concrete-mixer- shakes-malts-floats- sundaes, on a cone or in a cup is so worth the trip. It is better than Chick-Foe- Lay and they are open on Sunday! Make sure your order is accurate. They've messed up my orders on many occasions and I finally had enough. I upgraded my order to cheese curds and when I got home I found french fries in my bag not cheese curds. I called and spoke to a manager who told me I could get a large order of cheese curds the next time I came in and that they would put my name in the "book". On my next visit I placed my food order, informed them of my free cheese curds and gave the manager my name. The manager told me that my name wasn't in the book therefore I could not have my free cheese curds. I said I did everything right by calling and because that manager did not put my name in the book I can't get the cheese curds? The manager said no. I have not been back there since and am not sure when I will go back. read more

Of all the fast food burger places in Chicago Culver's is second to none. The quality of their beef, bun, and condiments are excellent. Service is helpful and gracious. So glad they came into Chicago. Their custard and desserts are awesome if you can afford the calories. For me it's once every 6 months! What a treat!!! read more

Stopped in there last week for a burger. After we ordered, we noticed WALLEYE on your menu!! It was too late then, but next time. I grew up in upstate NY on the St. Lawrence River in a family of hunters, trapper and fishermen in muskie country but we ate a lot of walleye. I haven't had it in probably 40 years! I went back a couple of nights later, got an order (no fries) and fried cheese curd. Couldn't wait to get home to eat it. I was quite shocked at the price for the size of the order, but eating it brought back so many memories, I will def go back and pay to get it again. PS The burger and fried cheesecurd were also good. We visited this new Culver's today. I was so excited to hear it had opened! We had kids' meals. The service was friendly and the food came out fast, hot, and delicious. We met the owner who was so nice and friendly too. The restaurant was clean (it is brand new) and the tables were cleaned quickly when people left. We will definitely be back. read more

First things first, great food and better customer service. Hope employees keep the positivity up because I don't mind paying more at restaurants with good service. Place is still new, I just hope management can maintain its cleanliness as it gets busier also. Walked in and ordered within a minute and received our food within 4-5 minutes! Came nice and hot. Ordered through the drive thru today, of course almost every part of my meal was incorrect which you only discover once you get home. Called the store to rectify the situation and the only answer the staff, General Manager and the owner himself was to go back inside the store for a refund. Mind you I don't even think the inside is open for carryout let alone to get a refund. Especially with COVID-19 and inside dining not being allowed in Chicago yet there has to be another answer to get my money back. Funny how that aspect of business has not been modified because it benefits the company. They probably figure no one wants to deal with it so they just keep pocketing the money time and time again. There are plenty other restaurants that I'm sure would love my business rather than give it to another person who could care less about basic customer service. If they can't even handle a refund what says they can handle washing their hands and handling people's food? I will NEVER support this company again especially this location. read more

We have tried to be supportive of this Culver's, recognizing the owners' efforts to train young workers and provide a friendly environment. We have even had conversations with the owner/manager complimenting him for this. However, in recent visits it seems very clear that the operations are different when the owner is on-site versus when he is not. A few months back we were told they were out of the Flavor of the Day 2 hours before closing. (Contrary to the sign over our heads which bragged of them making small batches throughout the day. ). When we mentioned this and having come specifically for the FOD, we were told we should call to check before coming. In a subsequent visit we made the owner aware of it, and he was apologetic and appreciative of the opportunity to train, and compensated us. Tonight the FOD was Mint Oreo. We ordered 2 dishes from Sydney. It took some time to get them. We waited by the counter, as we were going outside to eat. When we got them, the custard was quite soft/runny and contained no Oreos. It had hard chocolate chunks. Not wanting to waste, we ate what we were served. Before leaving I went back to the counter and stood off to the side. When Sydney came over to help, I quietly told her I had a suggestion - that if someone is not going to be served what the menu says, they should be told that as they order. In a clipped tone, she said, "We have been. ". I told her no one told us the custard we were getting would be mint with chocolate chunks and not Oreos like the board said. She said,"Oh," and walked away. I know I looked appalled and said "What?" She looked at me, said "Fine, we'll take your suggestion," and turned away.
