Do yourself a favor when dining at Culver's: order the Butterburger. Trust me. There are a lot of food and dessert choices at this fast food chain, but that is the best one. I have visited the location in Clermont and more recently this location in Casselberry several times and have come to this conclusion. Let me tell you about the burger. The meat is juicy and flavorful. The bun is warm and soft with a hint of butter. It can be topped all kinds of ways, but I like mine with cheese, ketchup, mustard, tomato, and pickles. My hungry husband has to get the one with bacon of course. I've also tried the fish sandwich (eh, okay) and had a bite of the pork tenderloin sandwich (actually very tender). I want to keep trying more things on their menu, which is extensive, but I always gravitate back to the burger. The desserts here are superb too. The frozen concretes are the way to go with enough mix-in choices to make your head spin. Oh, and their fries are excellent! HH always orders the cheese curds and for the large it costs $5.99 (ouch). Everything else on the menu is pretty reasonable compared to other fast food chains. One thing that I don't like at Culver's is that you can't see the prices for what you ordered on any screen when ordering inside. I guess that might be how it is for most fast food places. On my last visit, I ordered a sandwich and a side, but got charged for the combo meal. Since I just wanted a cup of water, I essentially got charged $1 extra for a cup of water. I wasn't going to bring it up after I looked at my receipt later because they were already super busy, but I will remember to ask next time. For a chain this place was really good. On my first visit I used the drive through. Lots of choices on the menu but I settled in the fish dinner with the coke slaw and French fries. My husband got the butter burger with onion rings. The smell was so good only a few onion rings made it to the house . The food was so fresh and delicious. The total was $21. This is definitely a change to steak and shake and Wendy's. When I walked in I said to myself "Welcome to Wendy's." It's definitely another option if you're in a rush or that's what your tastebuds are craving. I ordered their single butter burger with a drink and a side. As my side I went with the cheese curd. Similar to mozzarella bites but with 2 kinds of cheese. They are a Wisconsin based burger joint from what I read. The cheese wasn't that gooey mess which was nice. The Burgers are a smash burger style with a slight crispiness to them, this gives it a distinctive taste. It's not the best burger I've had but given the style of cuisine it was good. I sampled their ice creams and they were really good. A bit more on the sweet side but some days you just want to satisfy your sweet tooth. As a fast food place, they are very accommodating with their customer service. Yes they are new in town, so it wouldn't surprise me if the service changes in a few months or years... only time will tell. Since I'm not into fast-food, this is not a place I would frequent. As a Wisconsin native, it makes me proud that a Cheesehead-based restaurant is doing so well down south. I will have to say that they are making an effort to make sure that they get your order right. In the past, it seemed like every other visit they shorted us an item usually a side. I can understand forgetting ketchup or maybe the cheese sauce, but to forget onion rings or mashed potatoes or any of the other that you absolutely plan on being part of your meal, there's really no excuse to screw that up. That's also a fairly expensive item to just not get after you paid for it. I'm also thankful that the snarky nasty grump of a manager is no longer there. The staff there seem to care. I first went to Culver's in Wisconsin ten years ago. When I found out they were finally building them in FL I was super pleased. When we moved to Longwood 6 months ago and I found out there was one 5 minutes away, I was thrilled. Their burgers are delicious and have a nice crust which I love. I also really like their onion rings. They have crinkle fries, and I saw recently they added a cheese sauce for dipping... yum! The cheese curds are also good. Service is a little different than most fast food places. You order at a speaker and pay at a window, like normal, but then they have designated numbered spots you pull into and they bring your order out to you. So far all my visits have yielded friendly staff. It's a little pricier than other drive thru burger places but I often get coupons in my mail so you can usually get a deal. I highly recommend if you want a better quality fast food. read more

I'm always in the mood for a great burger... and by far Culver's has surpassed my expectations. I'm usually stuck with going to either Steak n' Shake or 5 Guys for a burger and fries but when Culvers opened last year, they are now my go-to for great 'butter burgers' and crinkle fries. Also, a nice feature is Culvers offers gluten free buns for their burgers. And they ask if it's an allergy or preference, in which case they cook the burger on a different skillet if it's an allergy, so they take your gluten allergy seriously. I've always had excellent customer service at this particular Culver's. After ordering your food you are given a number and the food is brought to your table, which is a nice feature. The staff is always helpful and asks if there is anything else we might need and they often come around and take your trash. Culver's is apparently legendary up north and has recently joined our Central Florida food lineup! My family and I had to try it out. We did not go inside, but went through the drive-through and ate in our car in the parking lot. They have an interesting numbered spot system for delivering food to cars so they are not clogging up the drive-through unnecessarily. Clever! The husband ordered a cheeseburger meal, which he very much enjoyed. He is quick to hate on a burger, so this endorsement carries some weight! The kids had cheeseburger and corn dog meals, respectively, and were ok with what they got. My daughter complained about her burger though -- it had mustard on it. I dream that some day burger joints will figure out that 99% of children detest mustard and refrain from putting it on their children's meal burgers. But I digress... The kids' meals come with a scoop of their frozen custard (different from ice cream in that it contains egg yolks for a creamier consistency). You can get the custard then and there, or you can opt to claim it later with a token, which is GENIUS for those not eating inside. The only problem is they didn't give us our tokens! We didn't figure this out until we had driven away. Bummer. I ordered the garden salad, which was very, very unremarkable, and the fried cheese curds, arguably their most distinguished menu item. I will say the cheese curds were good, and worth a try. My only complaint (other than the missing custard tokens and misguided mustard) is my usual complaint: a lack of vegetarian-friendly meal items. I would expect more sides, and preferably not all fried ones. Coleslaw, for example, appears to be an option (on their website and in some Yelp photos), but was not listed on their drive-through menu board. It's not hard to sell more plants, people! This place is awful! I'm giving it 3 stars instead of the 2 I want, as it's my own fault for eating "fast food." 1 - The food is terrible. I ordered a single mushroom swiss burger and regretted it after my first bite. It was greasy AF and completely flavorless. No salt, no pepper, just an oily flavorless mess. I had 1/3 the burger and tossed the rest. I 'upgraded' (I use that term loosely) to the cheese curds as they seems like a must get item per other reviews. That was a mistake. They were congealed blobs of cheese covered in a thick breading and also oozed grease. I had 2 and tossed the rest. 2- Again, my fault for thinking this was "fast food." I went through the drive-thru as I was on my way back to the office after running errands and short on time. There were a lot of other people in the drive-thru too, so I knew it would take a while. I just didn't know it would take as long as it did. 5 minutes to order, 12 minutes to get food. That was not fast at all. I could have ordered something to-go from an actual restaurant at that rate. I'd give the food quality a 3 stars, as in my opinion, it wasn't anything special. Every other aspect of the restaurant boosts its rating though. We received a very welcoming reception and got good service and the restaurant was very clean so nothing to complain about in that aspect. I went with the grilled chicken sandwich which looked great in the pictures but tasted pretty mediocre to me. The crinkle cut fries that come with the meal are your run of the mill fries, nothing to really write home about. My wife got the bacon cheeseburger and I tried a bite of that. I'll admit the burgers, which I guess is their staple, were pretty delicious. All of the milkshakes, smoothies, and other drinks looked fantastic but I was trying not to destroy my daily caloric intake so I tried to moderate--next time I may have to try one though. This place definitely has the Steak 'n Shake similarities, just without the actual table service. The quality is definitely better than typical fast food joints, but it's not quite in the BurgerFi realm yet. They even say "My Pleasure" From the friendly, attentive and consistent (Yasssss!) customer service to the fresh burgers and creamy custards I am oh sooo happy Culver's has finally made its way to Central Florida. This place can get busy but their fast service and walk out to your car drive thru makes you feel like you are the only one in the restaurant. Seriously, when you eat here at least 3 people come up to you and ask you how you are doing!?! They burgers are great! Definitely get their signature butter burgers. They also have chicken, a veggie patty, fish and salads! Now let's talk about their custards! That is what they are known for and Mann.....they are so tasty and creamy. They have multiple mix ins like candy, nuts etc and they taste perfect on a sunny day. They also got milkshake which I need to come back to try out. I ordered a Culver's deluxe butter hamburger. A bit little under seasons for me. Culvers has been my go to option when I want a fast food burger. The drive to this Casselberry location is worth it, I've had different experiences but none of them have been negative. I must say that the customer service here competes with Chic-fil-a and that's saying a lot! I grew up eating Culver's all the time when I was living in Chicago, Illinois. So when I heard that Culver opened near me, I was overly excited because I have been raving about their strawberry shortcake for years! To my disappointment, they have discontinued it and no one knew what I was talking about. I ended up ordering a North Atlantic Cod sandwich with fries and a vanilla sundae with strawberries. I love this place. This is probably one of my favorite fast food chains in the area. The place is kept super clean and the staff is super nice. I say this because, these days, it's hard to find a fast food place, that has a friendly staff, that smiles and seems to go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. I normally get their Butterburgers. I say plural, because I usually get a coupon delivered in the mail, about once a month, for buy two for $6. I am not even a cheeseburger kind of person, but this place had the best cheese out of any fast food place around. I have had the fish and chips, which the fish was about an inch thick. The only thing I didn't like about it, was, their tarter sauce. It was of the dill variety, which was not for me. I have had their Reuben sandwich also, which was pretty good, but could've had a little more meat on it. I have had the mushroom Swiss burger, which could've had a little more mushrooms on it as well. I can't believe I am writing a Yelp review for a fast food restaurant- but, yes, here I am- because I want to give props where they are due. I am a part-time health nut, maybe even food snob if you ask my husband. Forget fast food, I turn my nose at large chains! So, of course, when we wandered into Culver's with our kids in a moment of hanger, I was skeptical, at best. But, I was wrong. First of all, the service is seriously amazing. It's one of those places that, no doubt, prides itself on its service. But, unlike some similar places around town, it is totally genuine, helpful, and not annoying. They bring the food to your table which is nice, especially when you're camped out in a booth with small children. It is clean and tidy. Oh, and the food was pretty good! The crinkle fries are the jam, and the burger was solid- but- the thing that will keep me coming back over and over?! Their gluten free bun is amazing!!! I ditched the grains this gear and resigned myself to a life of stale bun substitutes. But... no more! Just like that episode of Seinfeld with the "fat-free" froyo, this bun is too good to be true! I want to purchase a case of them. Seriously. And, not to be forgotten, instead of ice cream, they have custard, which is my favorite frozen treat. Same greasy style burgers but a little better, nice flavor, with higher quality toppings. Frozen crinkle fries are just okay.
