Since you're unwilling to adjudicate this matter? STOLEN ITEM(S) -- DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY Save yourself the stress and frustration! DO NOT hire Two Men and a Truck for your move. You're far better off hiring family members or paying extra for a company that values integrity and accountability. During my move with Two Men and a Truck on November 1st( 7634 Reindeer Trail San Antonio, TX 78238), one of my personal items went missing while in their care..a pair of Gucci Platform Slides valued at $800. The item didn't just "go missing", it was taken. There is video footage of the incident, clearly showing the last person who handled the item and sketchy behavior. K.L( initials of the individual) was seen in the footage going into the truck, coming out of the truck and closing one of the doors, going back in the truck for 6 MINUTES, you can then see him rummaging through one of my shoe totes, after 6 minutes he comes out and opens the truck door back up. What was also weird was the totes were not wrapped up in any way in the footage, but when I was unpacking, one of the 2 totes were wrapped up in tape. It doesn't make sense for them to wrap items after they already moved to the new location, especially just one of them. For privacy reasons, I am withholding the footage AND full names of the individual(s) for now, but I will not hesitate to share it publicly if this continues to be ignored. Management, specifically Damien and Joe, provided me with the full names of the moving crew involved in my move. They even acknowledged that the video footage was sketchy and claimed that they suspended the individual. This information has been included in the official police report I filed. Despite this, Damien has made no real effort to resolve the situation. Every time I call, I'm told he has "stepped out of the office," and my attempts to reach him go unanswered. They apparently can't do anything about it since they don't have footage on their end on him taking them( which doesn't make sense for them to suspend the guy if they have nothing on him.. unless I'm being lied to). This is theft, plain and simple. I have taken all the proper steps. I've filed a police report, gathered evidence, and notified management. Yet I've received no accountability, resolution, or compensation. Each individual working ( 5 guys) were tipped $100 each on top of the hefty payment, I do not appreciate your employee going through my personal belongings and taking things as they please. I haven't been able to sleep at night because I live with the fear that they may have taken other things. Until this company takes responsibility and makes this right, I will continue to pursue this matter through every available channel. Consumers deserve to be warned.

I needed to move from Austin, TX to McAllen, TX for a few months and decided upon Two Men and a…read moreTruck to help me transport my belongings. It turned out that the realtor (at BIGRealty, don't use them) didn't yet have a property during the first deadline which when I informed Two Men and a Truck, had no problems changing the date. We had literally gotten the property sorted out about 2 days before our lease expiring, and again...Two Men and a Truck had no problems changing things around close to the move-out date. Their staff was super friendly and made my move easier than the realtor did. The movers arrived maybe 30 minutes late (8:30a), but that's due to Austin traffic and that I was living downtown. Once they arrived, they introduced themselves. There was Summer, the driver..and Michael, who was pretty much the muscle (despite Summer carrying the heavier stuff up a flight of stairs ;-) ). They had quoted me 4 hours due to the elevators being the far side of the building, and still ended up doing it in only 3. The rate I was given was pretty damned reasonable for a long-distance transport, and they were up-front about everything. The held my belongings for a day while I made my drive down south, and showed up exactly on time in McAllen to unload my things. Both Summer and Michael turned out to be the ones to unload my belongings as well. They were able to unload everything in a very short time, even carrying my entire CD collection to the second floor. They had me initial to make sure that everything was off of the truck, double-checked that I didn't forget anything and then was off. I'm surprised at the number of bad reviews for Two Men and a Truck and I can only believe that some of the reviewers didn't bother to pack any of their things. This is my second long-distance move, the first one was from Florida to Texas which I did myself which resulted in me learning a lot about the things that can happen during a large move. If you're too lazy to pack your own things, make sure you get mover's insurance. Talk to your regular insurance company. There's a reason why this type of insurance exists. Fortunately, we didn't need it as we made sure that we didn't have anything loose/dangling like a $10 dryer hose as listed in some of the bad reviews. When moving, make sure you use stretch-wrap to hold things together as the truck will vibrate (go rent one at U-Haul so you can feel what your belongings have to go through), tape up glass (or better yet, remove glass to be packed separately), take apart things that can be taken apart, keep screws and smaller pieces in bags, and box your belongings up as if you really care about them. We vacuum-sealed all of our clothes so that they took up less space, which would've ended up slowing the move down but Summer was able to stuff things in various places in order to make less trips. At the end of everything, we literally had no damage to any of our belongings with Two Men and a Truck. Everything is in perfect condition and it was a 4-5 hour drive. Oh, and they also overquoted me so I ended up paying less than what I had expected to pay. Too awesome. My lease here in McAllen is only a few months, and I'm definitely going to call Two Men and a Truck again to see if they'll take my business when I move back. I actually thought that the movers would've been the hardest part of the move, but the issues w/ the realtor and the property itself have been the hardest. I'm definitely now a fan of Two Men and a Truck despite many of the negative reviews and will likely use them again without hesitation.

I understand that it's hot out and in no way is it acceptable that I was working harder and faster to move my belongings. Additionally, I was charged for 4.25 hours of work on top of the $160 travel fee? Why am I essentially getting charged for both travel and workers? Not to mention that your guys went to the wrong address for delivery at first so I'm getting charged for incompetence and slow workers? Also one of the guys took a 10min+ bathroom break at my new apartment. I get that nature calls and I also think it's reasonable to take breaks like that off my bill. Had I not been working as much as I was to move my stuff (both to the truck and from it) I would have had to pay for another 1-2 hours of labor which is absolute robbery. Please let me know what can be done to make this poor experience right. Tristen on 6/5: Hi Sean, I'm sorry to hear this. I will look into this and I'd like to follow up with you on Monday. Tristen on Wednesday, 6/11: Sean, do you have any photos or videos that show the crews inefficiencies? I am trying to corroborate this with the crew and dispatch manager but I don't have much to go off of. To follow up on the travel charge- that covers the time spent driving to the load location and back from the unload location, fuel expense, use of the truck and tools and equipment that we use during the move. ------- Pictures and additional text conversation included. Absolutely terrible actual service which matched the customer service. My favorite is where the team lead told me that they went to the wrong location and that it would be an hour to get to me despite me giving him the exact address and the apartment complex. I also gave them my address about 10 times when requesting and signing off on service so being charged for their inability to put in an address adds to the shi!show that it was to hire this company.

They did a fantastic job of coming out on short notice to go over all of our property here that needed to be moved and they gave us a very competitive quote the same day in fact multiple quotes as I needed different things broken up for comparison. In the end, we already had our truck booked and we were stuck using their moving service, but I wish I could've gone with these guys as the whole team was just fantastic as far as being professional, responsive and organized. I also know that the folks that lived in our home before actually had used their services and were quite happy with them.

Day 2 they took 13 hours to move half of a house with two small trailers. They also had no tools and had to use ours (simple drills, screwdriver etc). Keep in mind we paid to have them disassemble and assemble in the one day move. They ruined a brand new mattress with grease hand stains, and did not put our front door back on hinges properly. And to boot...they quoted $4,700 for the move and then hit us with a $5,300 bill, saying their guys worked 30 mins over the quote. The main issue being that they took longer because we had to unpack and find our tools to allow them to use. ***edit to respond to Victoria*** This response is a perfect example of the miscommunication and lack of professionalism. Nobody ever requested to leave a tv up. The day of packing, my husband was playing Xbox and said "whenever yall need to pack this let me know and I'll shut this down". This is also when we discovered that they did not have any tools to remove the TV, so, the TV wasn't going to be removed either way that day. Nobody was ever asked to "make beds" but we paid to have them put together (assembled). The movers also were not met with hostility. You had a group of young men with neck tattoos talking and bragging about their time in prison in front of everyone (including our children). My husband did the responsible thing, which was to address the staff as a whole. I'll mention he also tipped each one $100 bill at the end. We did this because it was apparent that the fault was on managment and not the individuals. They came both days unprepared without proper tools. Two separate groups of movers on two different days being paid to pack, dis-assemble and re-assemble furniture. (How is that possible?) Nobody was ever "cussed out" in person or on the phone. My husband called the very next morning and left a voicemail for the owner that was never returned. This response and lack of accountability again proves why I would never recommend this company.
