There are drug addict encampments circling the area. The fencing is low. There are also strange characters (unhoused, addicts, mentally ill) who store their belongings there. The camera was broken and the manager said it was vandalism. It had been over 1 month it had been broken over December 2025 and the camera still not fixed leaving the entire row of storage units vulnerable to theft. My unit was in that area. Previous to that my gate latch was pried open and the staff didn't check the gate, nor give me a form to fill out or recommend to file a claim with the police for an attempted break in, nor let me change storage units. I had to wait for the manager to return from vacation to change units a few units down. When I moved my belongings 6 months later, I found out about 6 boxes of kitchenware or $500 of belongings were stolen from my unit. It would have had to take at least 30 minutes for them to rummage through my things find the boxes (labeled kitchen) and put every thing back so I wouldn't notice them. Without security cameras or an on-staff night security guard, it would be incredibly easy to steal from all the units on the row. In addition strange characters who have units there lurk around the units. I spoke with one tenant who said it was getting really bad with the unhoused addicts living next door and storing their things there. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS THERE.

I'd always take it out for showing potential buyers, for obvious reasons, and I got to know Rick (the Manager) a tiny bit. Rick has been helpful and informative since day 1, even before, when I called to get a quote. After a quote spoke to one of the other staff members there, she totally dropped the ball on meeting me on a weekend (at a time we agreed on) but Rick called me back Monday and we worked it out. Anyhow, been happy there since: never had issues with gate, security, cleanliness, other tenants at this property. Price is also the most affordable I found in my radius from home. Rick will treat your like family as long as you treat him with respect too.

Well, since then it was bought by CubeSmart, who have promptly raised the rates $30 per month while removing the dump station and propane selling functions, and, even more relevantly, removing the on-site residential manager. I go there today to get ready for a trip and find that someone has burned through a hefty lock and stolen our propane tank and both batteries. Buyer beware, I get that, and I'll know better than to leave them in the future, but CubeSmart actively made this place worse value and less secure. I think they're planning on driving everyone out by attrition. Which is fair, I suppose, but I will never do any business with a CubeSmart again after I coordinate with a mobile RV tech to fix the trailer so I can move it safely.

They gave me a senior discount, just to remove it a few months later. Any time you question it, they claim there is nothing they can do on there end. If you are 2 days late, they message you with threats of a lien on your property. Shady practices. If you call after hours, the automated system will run you around, then disconnect. When I checked on my boat a few months ago, I had found my cover sliced, and a cat living inside.
