I want to start by mentioning that before today I've not had anything negative to say about this…read morelocation. And also I have never left a review good or bad for any busines in my almost 40 yrs of life. So with that being said. I got this unit do to a domestic violence incident in my home I had to take one load and grab as much as I could, everything else of mine and my 3 children was left behind. This is now all we own. Including our vehicle that I shared with him is all gone. Which means getting to and from our unit has been a struggle all in itself. We finally had time and made ride arrangements since the 100 degre weather made taking the bus just not doable With 3 small kiddos. it's been two months since my kids have set their eyes on the little things that make them smile. When we got there the office door was locked it was well past 1 pm and I was told by the employee that she had just started her lunch and to come back in about 30 mins .. I was ok with the request since there was a store right near by that we could go to and stay cool in. An hour later We came back to the office locked again and noticed her on the golf cart moving fast past the gate ..we called to her but I guess me and my babes weren't loud enough? So in the very hot sun we followed after her and finally caught up, to be told she meet us around the other side. Finally she stopped and took my payment info RIGHT THERE OUTSIDE IN THE 102* temperature ? Didn't offer to take us inside or some cold water .. nothing. At that point I'm still ignoring the strange vibes I'm getting. After the payment I asked if she could get into our unit since my purse was recently stolen. I don't have my keys. And, That was ok, No problem she said she'd meet us at my unit in a just a few mins. Thank goodness my unit was actually in a hall way where it wasnt over 100 anymore but still easily 90 something still not ideal for my kids at all.. So tell me why we sat there for almost 30 mins just waiting.. For her to come back and let me know she can't find the drill I'll have to come back in the morning at 930 when they open?!? might sound simple ... if I owned a car.. So NOw I'm irritated, and upset. And hot the kids are hot.. still no offer to cool off in the office or nothing. By then my phone was dead im sweating and we all have to use the restroom so head back to office once again it's locked we have to ask thru the door to go potty. And this is where Im just super confused. As soon as we walked in her attitude changed and seemed annoyed that we're there. Like she don't want to deal with us. Barely lets me and the kids use the rr. And says something about another customer messed up the bathroom had to call plumber .. ? Ok. And then when it's my turn she says something like I'm not sure what your doing in there but I'm gonna have to ask you to get out of the bathroom .. my kids were standing in the door as I was using the sink/mirror to wash the the SWEAT OFF MY FACE. and do my best to reapply some of the make up I lost in the process. Saying that I need to leave now because I didn't move fast enough and some other very weird comments making me feel super uncomfortable like I'm a crack head (no judgemt To any "crack heads") and I'm trying to take over their bathroom. I was in there a total maybe 6 to 7 minutes, and had the door open with my children for half of it. It's all on camera so I really hope I can find corporates number because the way my children and I were treated was beyond unprofessional it was degrading and embarrassing. Treated with no respect as customers or AS HUMANS IN GENERAL? I was in tears as I had to tell my kids to step back outside in the 100 * weather as we waited for a family member to pick us and empty handed with none of our items we came for. The stress this lady caused was so unnecessary and ugly that here I am actually writing about it. Hoping someone can do something about this ? I pay my bill I mind my business and I work in customer service.. I KNOW THAT THIS WAS VERY WRONG. People like that should not exist in that type of work. Im A human with feelings and I didn't deserve that treatment nor my children ..being decent/kind shouldnt be hard. And I have a lot going on in my life and today this was my tipping point. Im sitting here still very upset. Wondering what I did wrong to be treated as I was . wOrst part is I have to go back to that place some how in the morning and see that person again .. to try and get to our belongings smh.

I have rented with two other storage facilities before and at those other facilities I experienced rodent damage and droppings on my belongings, flooding and water damage, reported theft on the property, insect damage and spiderwebs on everything, excessive dust, the list goes on. I almost thought that was part of for the course with storage... so much so that I put all my furniture on palletts in case of flooding and covered everything in my unit with a tarp. Both these measures proved unnecessary because the husband and wife who own this facility keep it IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Prior to selecting this storage facility I wrote down a lengthy list of requirements in a facility to store my items in, as I was storing many vintage and sentimental items. It was highly important to me that rodent and insect damage would be unlikely, that my items would be damaged by flooding or leaky roofs, or that my items wouldn't be stolen (seems like bare minimum but you'd be surprised! ) I just vacated my unit today after five years and I found no water damage, no rodent or insect damage, and the only spiderwebs on my furniture were the ones I moved my furniture in with (proven by the ancient dog fur caught in the webs). Communication with this facility has also been excellent. Any rate changes to my monthly bill I always recieved both email and postal mail notices. Office hours are broad which means if I have any changes to my account, they're open when it's convenient for me to stop by. The couple who owns the facility live on site and the property has massive security... I never had to fear theft or damage. Staff have been friendly, expedient, and helpful 100% of the time that I've had to interact with them. I would strongly recommend this business if you need storage and the security and preserving the cleanliness of your items are your priority. There are cheaper options available in town if you're willing to go with companies whose storage facilities are notorious for pest/water damage.

They lure you in with a dirt cheap promotional rate, then at the 6 month mark, they literally double your rate and hope you're too lazy to move your stuff. That I had no tangible way of getting my property out of there quickly but they chose violence against a girl who is literally just trying to survive. The reason there are laws protecting victims of DV who try to leave is because they often leave their things behind when fleeing. I was unable to safely get my stuff and it wasn't a priority when I left. My safety was. So without my permission it was moved into a storage unit here at this location and then I was promised to be called and emailed for 4 weeks straight where the staff here led me on to believe I'd be getting a call by someone competent enough to transfer to my name so I could either take over that bill or come get my things.
