I arrive there at four and Chris was literally locking up the door. I was about to cry because I had a truck full of my belongings that I needed to put into my storage unit that I had set up online. He was so kind and he told me to come in and he allowed me to move my stuff in even though it was after his hours to go home. He is extremely knowledgeable about the storage industry and was absolutely very helpful and again very kind. Because I had made him late, I offered to give him money to buy dinner, and he flat out refused. he said this is his job and it was no problem. I can't say enough wonderful things about Chris. My day had been very stressful and was hilarious. He actually kept me laughing when I felt like crying. I only leave reviews when I have something good to say about someone, because in this world that we live in now, there is always negative things to say about anybody and everybody. As compensation they only provided 1 months free rent - I had my unit from June until January and after knowing about this problem the entire time, not only did I not get my check until December, but they never mentioned how they were going to FIX their mice problem. I also had to personally drive to the office to pick up my reimbursement check, because maybe mailing it would cost too much or something. (?) In the end, I lost hundreds of dollars of personal belongings, kids toys, items of attachment, and I had to personally clean off all the mice droppings off my stuff on MY OWN DIME. The smell in the unit was absolute awful my last day there.

Well my husband told me I was just being paranoid (I work for a security company, so I suppose I have higher standards). The people that work here are always very nice - yes, but I think everyone who stores here should know what we experienced last weekend. October 2016 on a Sunday AM, we were at the unit, maybe around 8-830am. We have 2 units here and we were consolidating to one unit. We parked our truck outside our main unit and of course had the windows down. I noticed a lady walking around the property and didn't think much of it at first, until she started getting EXTREMELY close to our vehicle, looking in our windows. Walking in between our truck and our storage unit and kept looking into our space. She continued to do this for a while and we opted not to say anything to her - maybe she'd just leave us alone. (She looked like she was high on something). The next thing we notice, is she started to jump the fence in the back corner where the barbed wire is bent, and left the unit. A few minutes later, she was back in the unit (she went through the fence (literally walked through) on the other gate further down). Now she is back to walking around, staring at us... watching our every move. She kept sitting on the ground and watching us. She disappeared for a bit again and then a little while later, she climbed the front gate (that you enter through) and just sat on there for a while. She eventually got down, and came back to our unit and at that point my Husband asked her if she had a problem and she mumbled that she was looking for someone. She was walking in and out of our belongings and staring in our unit again. So we opted to tell her to leave us alone or else we'd call the cops. The cops showed up - and right when they showed up someone opened a unit from the inside and she went in to their unit. With the hour and half we were there, not once did we see someone's vehicle, etc. there except for another person at his unit that we talked to, to make sure he locked his vehicle b/c of her. My personal thought... I can't say whether or not the guy was there before us that morning, or if he stayed in his unit overnight. It's just very odd that someone from the inside of their unit after 1 - 1 1/2 hours just opens up like it's nothing. I called the management on Sunday - talked to a girl there, and said the manager was off until Tuesday AM. I haven't heard from anyone, and I had to call the property manager today. He told me they have warned the individual at the unit she went into that she isn't allowed back there or she will be arrested. I expressed my concerns about the unsecure parts of the building and they mentioned they reinforced those spots a few weeks ago. I suggested they check them again. Unfortunately, we will be leaving this place as soon as possible b/c with all the crazy stuff that happens these days that you see on the news, if we don't feel safe at a place, how can we continue to pay them. I wish we had a better experience as this place was very close to us. **ALSO I'd like to note - they asked me not to put a review on here b/c it would be unfair b/c it was a one-time experience and this has never happened before. Everyone has the right to believe what they want, but I also have the right to express my concerns and to share my experience.

I am trying to cancel the account and they say "use the app" but my Dad never setup an account online. I called location and after playing with phone prompts for 15 minutes I got to leave a voice mail for manager. I am skeptical that the message will result in a call back, and if they do call me back, I will raise this rating.

Steve is a great manager and he knows how to run a business. He is very professional and makes sure you have the information needed to make a good decision. I have had 2 different size units at this location and both have been great. In fact, I had to get a larger unit and he walked me around to the different units, because I am more of a visual person. I had locked my unit, but I did not do the extra step and Steve called me to let me know that it was not correctly locked. If you need a storage unit, this is the place to store your possessions.

They rent on a month by month basis but there was an option to pay for an entire year. While the website says the types of payments they accept does not include CC the manager said they can but they charge the customer the CC fee they would be charged and they let you know that up front. The price is reasonable and it was stated that it only goes up yearly. So as of now I am quite satisfied with the place and a bonus it that it is only a mile a way. Despite what Yelp says about where I am located, I really do live in Aurora, IL

Decided to rent a u-haul because we couldn't find a dolly a couple hours before a move. we were…read morepicking up a tendem bike from my father in law. we were able to reserve a van one hour before our pick-up time. we also filled out all of the information ahead of time so the pick-up process was so quick and smooth. while there i mentioned that we originally wanted a pick-up truck but didn't see any available. the person checking us in knew there was one on the lot and was able to quickly change our reservation. we had the truck for about 6 hours and returned the car after hours. the text portal made the drop-off super easy and i like how our price automatically updated from per mile to per day because we drove a pretty far distance. we will also be automatically charged for tolls which makes things easy, but I should have brought my i-pass. overall a really great experience and will definitely be renting from them again in the future.

In the past, when something truly urgent came up, they would call or at least send multiple forms of communication -- phone calls, emails, and letters -- so we knew to act immediately. This time, they switched to only email without any phone calls or clear indication that an auction was imminent. We had no idea things had escalated so far until it was too late. If you value your belongings, be aware that their communication practices are unreliable when it matters most.
