To clarify a few things: I had my own dollies and equipment, and both Alex and I were moving significantly more items ourselves than your movers were. In fact, I noticed multiple times when I went down to the truck that both movers were just standing inside, not actively working. Several items they did handle--like my paintings that were still sealed in plastic--were wrapped unnecessarily three or four times, wasting time rather than helping the move go more efficiently. Yes, the elevator used was the freight elevator, but even if it hadn't been, both available elevators were equally close to the unit, so the point feels moot. Most importantly, the way you've chosen to handle this as a business owner is honestly shocking. Arguing with customers, deflecting accountability, and lacking basic humility or professionalism--especially when we were among your first clients and you had no reviews at the time--is both disappointing and embarrassing to witness.

And to ADD TO IT...when I initially called in to complain about the raise in fee, David at the front desk said it was "an industry norm and something I would just need to deal with, and if I wanted to complain about it to someone, I would have to call another number, or email someone else about it" he told me he was busy and would email me the contact information - which of course, he never did. Their newest SCAM has been to charge me an additional $16.00 a month for insurance when I provided them with a policy when I moved in. I just called the office and talked to David again, and he said his "guess" was because my policy expired. I told him it hadn't. So, he took another look and said it was because my name wasn't on the policy. To which I reminded him no, but my husband who is also on the storage rentals name is. How do they not check the names on the rental agreement before opening up an additional rental insurance policy and charging someone for it?!
