    Time management is awful. Waited in line for 20 minutes. (We were the only ones in line) Drop your uhaul off somewhere else if possible

She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and observant of the property. She made the decision to rent from Storage King an easy one. I'd been to other facilities and none of the competitor locations had anything near the professionalism and kindness that Phoebe exuded. Plus the location is convenient, well priced and very clean. That being said, this storage service is beyond ridiculous. First we were lied to about an online rate being honored, so we ended up paying more than was necessary. On top of that, the rates keep going up and up and up, by at least $20+ increments in an unreasonably short amount of time. They sent out "30 days notice" letters, only for many of us renting from here to receive them less than a month before the price increase. There are no redeeming services that we have experienced from this company as of yet, they are not willing to work with us even though my father is a disabled amputee on a fixed income. The price increase is just brushed off as a result of the "current cost of business continuing to rise," meanwhile our incomes stay the same. Renters insurance is also a requirement, so on top of the ridiculously high prices, you're expected to also pay up front for renters insurance. Around 120 dollars rate gets brought up to nearly 150 in a matter of a month, and that doesn't include the MANDATORY renters insurance. Unfortunately, while they seem to "care" for customers and urge them to "reach out" about problems, they still have no problem at all making excuses for jacking up their prices so tremendously and leaving many with no option but to switch storage companies. All that is given in regard to any response is just a standard copy-paste business letter, essentially saying "we're sorry, but we're going to make the decision to jack up our rates while our businesses are making record-high profits." This is ridiculous to say the least.

Don't worry there's no cameras working to protect your belongings and the office will just tell you there's nothing they can do about it. Even better they might try to tell you that maybe you just didn't lock it when you left. We've used this unit two times literally and you're telling me you think it was just left open? Then the thief turned around and relocked our unit with our same lock? This is an absolute joke of an attempt to get out of responsibility. I want to know who had access and how this could've happened conveniently while your one camera apparently isn't working.

Definitely not a good customer service representative yet some how the face of that location. I had a late payment on my unit. 1 day late might I add. And actually still within the grace period so if you want, technically not late. The fee was $102 and some change. He explained that the billing is every 30 days and that after the 6th day you get a late fee. Today is the last day of my grace period so my late fee shouldn't be until tomorrow. After asking for his manager he stated that there is nothing that could be done. That his manager would just agree. I don't mind if I have to pay a late fee from time to time but from a ten dollar late fee to a hundred is a bit excessive. And on top of that, this place is always broken. If it's not the front gate it's the back. Restroom I'm sure has asbestos. CubeSmart get help. Mind everyone this place has had class action lawsuits on them in the past. 8/20/24 **Update** As of this morning the district manager Ruben reached out and we were able to come to a resolution. Thanks for handling the situation in a professional manner. These situations do need better handling going down the ladder. We will continue to use your storage services and hope to have better expectations and experiences in the future.

We never had any issues! Now it's a new owner EXTRA SPACE STORAGE! I HAVE HAD MY 2 units 1067 & 1066 on Auto payments since 2022. I paid $240.00 for 2 units with climate control. Was never notified of a price increase! I was never aware of the Auto payment issue! I come in today to look at my 2 units not 1 unit but my 2 units that I have been paying for and I'm told by the property manager that my unit 1066 was AUCTIONED IN MARCH OF 2024 for non payment!!!!!! Im very upset I had wedding picture, old family photos and furniture and items from my grandmother who is no longer with us! How can a unit be AUCTIONED FOR 1 month late? how can it be late if I signed up for AUTO PAYMENTS!!!! No call, no email! Only excuses on they can't understand how this happened and how a letter was supposedly sent to my home. If you are planning on Auctioning someone stuff why not send a letter with certified mail or call that customer especially since I have been a customer for 8+ years!!! My heart is so broken I can't help but think about all my stuff, my furniture and all those memories that we had packed up and we assumed it was safe since we were paying our units every month! It started with speaking with Steve (One of the owners) about four months ago, as I informed him that I was moving 300 miles to town suddenly and desperately needed a place to store all of my stuff. Steve promised to have a specific size reserved for me, and if they didn't have a unit available when I moved down, that he would let me use his personal garage. That wasn't necessary though, as Steve made sure there was a space available (With about six hours notice from me, once I finally discovered when I was moving), and handled all paperwork over the phone as I was in the middle of a five-hour drive, leaving a lock in the unit because he knew I'd be getting there late in the evening and didn't have a fitting lock. My storage unit was spotless, the entire storage complex was/is spotless, and he was completely understanding and provided incredible customer service when I needed emergency access to my unit at 5am the next week. I've spoken to Steve a couple of times since. He was kind enough to remind me of my due date after I missed payment two months later, and didn't charge me a late fee because they're good people. I just finished a phone call with Steve's son, Mike, who provided equally great customer service and was incredibly accommodating to my requests. I'm removing my things from their unit, only because I've found a place to live in Austin. I would gladly drive back to Buda to continue using their services, because of the amazing customer service I've received. There's no need to storage unit shop. Call them today. Calling and talking to any other company is a waste of time.
